Classic :)

I think Charley has a theory (That I disagree with) that generally the better the theme song, the worse the film. If that works, trust me, DAD will be the greatest film ever :)

I didn't notice the theme song. Who sings it?

Figrin D'an

Madonna has the theme song for Die Another Day...

ReaperFett
Oct 3rd, 2002, 06:08:59 PM
It's not in the trailer. It was leaked. It is Madonna. It is dire :)

I can only shudder to imagine.

It could be worse than Gladys Knight's "Lisence to Kill"!

ReaperFett
Oct 4th, 2002, 12:11:26 PM
Could?:)

Robot

Robot states that Bond is well and truly beyond used by date and finds no amusement in same rehashes over and over again.

:uhoh I think the theme tune sounds quite good ...

I heard it on the radio on my way into work.

It was...interesting? :x

Goldfinger is arguably the best Bond song ever =]

;) j/k :)

I'd pit Goldfinger up against View to a Kill. They're both great :)

Goldfinger and Live & Let Die are the two that stand out for me.

Goldfinger. :D

I love "Goldeneye" and "Tomorrow Never Dies" for both had fantastic sounds. "The World is Not Enough" by Garbage was a bit dull.

I'm a tad weary of the Bond films after I saw "The World is Not Enough". I didn't think it was half as good as Brosnon's previous two Bond films, Goldeneye being the best but TND only just behind. The Bond films are beefed up in all those things that make a good 007 flick: Guns, gadgets, girls and cars. But TND and Goldeneye, the latter especially, had a really great plot. TWINE was crap when it came to plot, at least that's my opinion of it.

DAD looks fun but I am skeptical as to whether or not the plot will be even remotely enthralling. It has two redeeming factors, Halle Berry and the return of the Astin Martin. :)

THANK YOU...somebody else who holds Tomorrow Never Dies in such high esteem. IMO, its the best Brosnan film. I didn't really like The World is Not Enough, and Goldeneye was pretty good.

Still...there's something worrysome about this new movie. This whole Ice Palace thing seems....a bit cheesy.

There's a cheesyness to all of them though, but they still manage to make it intellegent and great :)

Levi Argon

That's exactly what I thought when I saw that in the trailer. Very cheesy. >_<

We can only hope that it isn't another TWINE.

C'mon guys, can't you see that Denise Richards is the sole reason that TWINE sucked so hard?

A rocket scientist, she is not. :)

JMK
Oct 6th, 2002, 07:59:52 PM
Maybe not, but the science behind her rockets is more than enough to keep me interested! ;)

:lol

Mmm Denise :D

:thumbdown

I don't think very highly of Denise Richards. She's nothing special.

ReaperFett

A rocket scientist, she is not
She has rockets, and knows how to use them ;)

I don't think she was THAT bad. Her problem was she had the worst lines in any of the Bond films :)

Levi is now my favorite person in the whole world. :)

(Goes off to download song)

Take it you're not a Denise Richards fan then, LD. :)

There are so many bland, over-rated, over-hyped women who are forced through the same rigorous beauty schedules that attempt to make them look pretty but succeed in only one thing; make the women look all too similar, following the equation of "Looks + breasts + poutiness - brains = female actress".

I'm glad that isn't universal though. The consensus in Hollywood seems to be that if you want to make a woman the star of a film then you have to give her all the characteristics of a male action hero. It's a refreshing and rare when you have a lead actress who has a womans character; the same strengths and weaknesses and whatnot. Mind you all people are different but in Hollywood, many big actresses have are a hybrid of male superstars with female supermodels.

I disagree. Not that many "Real" actresses (As in, not the ones whos main professions are actress, not singer, model etc) have large breasts, IMO.

And noone looks like DR IMO :)

I've seen a lot of Bond films, but it is strange because a day or so after I cannot remember a single thing about the movie! I confuse them all, I don't remember the villains, the girls, the plot. It is really frustrating!!!!!!!!!!

You lack dedication, is all :)
