Darius was the first born son of, now, Lord Van-Derveld, one of two twins from Gitane Blesse. From birth, it was evident that the young Lupine was destined to follow in his fathers footsteps and become a Sith, as the power that was present inside him was great. He was not at all like his sister, and took no real notice of her as he spent most of his time with his father, getting spoilt rotten. As a result of this, he grew to believe he was oh-so-important and that he somehow had an immunity from his father's anger (as it was very rarely focused upon the boy).

After one and a half years, Darius had the physical appearance of an 8 year old, and it was at this time that he took the life of his own mother. Much to the shock of many other Sith, Vega did not seem to deal with the problem but instead allowed the boy to join the ranks of the Empire! Many of the Empires saw, and still see him, as a risk because of his lack of concern for even his families life. However, Darius has no intention of causing a mutiny, but instead strives to further his skills knowing that someday he will surpass his father and all those around him to become the most powerful dark-sider to ever have lived.
