The halls of the dormant academy echoed with undeniable silence, has the bright suns had just begun to bath the structures with their dense coats of light. Faint footsteps could be heard in the distance, soon after man slowly walked into one of the numerous training arenas. It was none other than Ki Adi Kindo, going about his routine sessions of vigorous and relentless preparation. Has he stepped into the hollow facility, a bundle of fond memories came upon his mind. From his very first lightsaber spar all the way to his tenacious exercise with his fellow Padawans. So much had he learned over the many months spent at the Jedi Academy, for he walked in oblivious to any knowledge of the Force, however now he was perceptive and wise to the continuous flow of the living Force. He had been taught so many things, and he longed to continue in his long journey to complete his training.

He perched down onto the arena surface, awaiting the soon arrival of his master.

Maia walked toward the training center. Lost in the memories of all of her Padawans. They had all advanced wonderfully. Maia felt she had been very lucky to have them as her first Students. She remembered each spar and each day of fun they had all shared together. All of them had become very close and bonded a loving family.

Maia paused at the door. Kindo waited beyond. This could perhaps be the last time she taught him as a Teacher to a student. Her eyes stung from the unexpected emotion the welled up inside of her. She was proud that he was so close to attaining what every Jedi strives for but another part would miss his excitement when learning. Time had a way of changing all things. Some for the better and sometimes for the worse. Kindo she felt had grown for the better in many ways. Maia lifted her hand and wiped away the tears. She knew it was time to let them go.

Maia stepped through the door and greeted Kindo. Her customary smile in place.

A genuine smile reflected off of Kindo, beholding the sight of the arrival of his beloved master. He would be nowhere without her assistance, patience, kindness, intelligence, and above all, her compassionate love. Maia had became more than his average friend or acquaintence, she had become his cherished mother. No matter what situations or conflicts were thrown his direction, he could always count on her to help him out. He would never forget the daily teaching she gave him, it would always remain in the depths of his heart. She was his master, and he was her Padawan.

He rarely weeped, but we noticed the gleaming necklace she was wearing was the one he gave to her, blue tears began to swell up within his sapphire eyes.

" Good morning, Maia. "

Maia saw his gaze fall on the precious gift he had given her. Her small fingers brushed lightly against it. A smile lit her eye's. "It means the world to me." She said softly. She opened her arms and hugged him tightly. "As do you Kindo. Soon you will be a knight and I cannot even begin to tell you how proud you make me my friend."
