Photoshop Question....

Okay.....I know I am probably being an idiot.....but I need to know something.

Q: How do you cut out a picture (like a person) in Photoshop? I am using the eraser and it works....but not great.......

Use the icon surrounded in blue, It'll let you select color/color areas and modify them.

Aka, If you have a pic on a white background and you click on the while while using this tool it'll just select the white part ::)

Sooo........how do I get the character by themselves then? Just use that? What if it's on a colored background.....do I erase the background and erase around the character.....then use that tool and it'll be by itself and I'm able to just have that then? :lol I'm not following you exactly...... (I'm slow, sorry... ;))

Next to the magic wand is the lasso. I use that. I have a preference for it.
