As the Sith Empire has not seen fit to honorably declare an official commencement of hostilities, The Imperial Sovereignty will.
For a hundred years, the Empire has reigned as the galactic superpower, surmounted by none. Attacks on its sovereign domain have never gone unpunished, as evidenced by the lethal hunting of the Vong, the continued conflict with the Republic, and too many other battles to name.
The Empire has never, with the exception of extreme necessity, commenced an undeclared military action.
The Imperial Sovereignty, a temporary government pending the Unification of the Empire, has not and will not deviate from such an ideal.
No more than a week prior to your receiving this, an Imperial World was assaulted by forces flying the banner of the Sith, and deemed to be acting on their behalf and under their orders. As such, the Sovereignty High Command, lead by Regent and Supreme Military Commander, Grand Admiral Baron Telan Desaria, has deemed it appropriate and militarily necessary to declare war on the Sith and their allies.
This action comes not out of hatred or animosity: it is born out of your unsolicited assault on our territory, the dishonorable combat techniques displayed by Sith soldiers in the field, and the unprovoked slaughter of Imperial personnel and civilians. It was prompted out of a proper and dignified defensive response.
Our intentions for the coming campaign will be stated.
-The Sith pay reparations to the Sovereignty to be distributed to the families of those killed in action.
-the Sith bring to trail, either Imperial or internal, those responsible for orchestrating this raid.
-The already small Sith military force is eliminated, all weapons and war vessels scrapped.
As of one hour within receiving this, an Imperial task force was dispatched to commence an assault on the Sith homeworld.
War has been declared. Until an Imperial approved cease fire is reached, war will be the order of the day, and Victory its out come.
