The best Defense (Open challenge)

[Alpha]

Satine crouches in the rafters, to avoid being seen. He was being hunted by a Sith--he wasn't sure who. Never bothered to check, actually. Clutching his two unlit Loris Dagger hilts, Satine looks around, hoping he could, maybe, get the jump on the sith...

[Inu]

Inu-Aku sniffed the air. His quarry was close, but where? His dog-like ears twitched, and he looked up, seeking Alpha. The darkness was all-encompassing, and the Jedi was lost to his vision. But he could smell him clearly.

[Alpha]

Satine uses the Force to smack a rafter on the far side of the room, making Inu-Aku turn around. Taking the opprotunity, the Warrior Jedi Knight jumps down with a yell, igniting both of his Loris Daggers. Two cruved, foot long black blades come out of each hilt--one on top, and one on bottom of each hilt. Spinning his weapons, Satine snap kicks Inu as he turns afround, throwing him backwards.

[Inu]

Inu-Aku faked toward the sound, then turned again at Satine's war cry. He staggered a few steps back, putting distance between the two. Sabers...he didn't have them yet, but it made no difference. He put a hand on the hilt of his old, rusted blade and moved in, aiming a punch at Satine's gut.

[Alpha]

The attack hits what feels like a brick wall, and a loud crack ran through the room--the typical sound of Satine's Force shields. Seeing his opponent didn't have sabres, Satine disengages his weapons, and takes out the sword form his back. He wanted this to be a fair fight after all.

[Inu]

He checked his arm for damage, to be sure the crack wasn't his arm. Seeing that it wasn't, he settled into a stance in response to Alpha's new weapon. A dim light shone through the ceiling as the moon came from behind the clouds. The two saw each other clearly for a moment, each in a stance, game faces on. Inu-Aku lunged, drawing his sword and striking in a diagonal upward slash. The light disappeared again as the moon moved behind th clouds.

[Alpha]

Satine blocks it well away from his body, and then snap kicks Inu-Aku backwards, Spinning his blade, Satrine makes a stab...

[Inu]

Another snap-kick. He'd not fall to that one again. Inu-Aku parried the stab, Alpha's sword passing under his arm, and moved at Satine with an over head cut, aiming for his forehead.

[Alpha]

Satine rolls away, and comes up on his feet behind Inu-Aku. Taking advantage of it, Satine slashes at his opponent's exposed back.

[Inu]

Inu-Aku dodged, but not fully, and Alpha's blade slashed across his back. He hissed, biting back the pain as his sweat stung it, and whirled with a cut at Alpha.

[Alpha]

Satine ducks it, and then lashes out with a painful low kick. As Inu-Aku jumps back to avoid it, Satine gets to his feet, spinning his sword.

[Inu]

Inu-Aku settled himself into a new stance. He'd have to be wary; this one was a better opponent than many he'd fought. He circled around to his right, watching Satine flourish his sword. Perhaps...he lunged, a low stab. As Satine moved to defend, he punched the Jedi hard in the face.

[Alpha]

Satine is thrown backwards by the punch, but he got back into a defensive stance fast enough to block the next attack, the blades flinging out sparks.

"You're not bad..." he says, the first words spoken in the fight.

[Inu]

"Neither are you..."

The two shoved each other, each backing away from their opponent.

"No one I've fought since my creation has given me a worthy fight."

He stood with his knees bent, arms hanging loosely by his sides. The tip of his blade dragged the ground.
