Never had Sushi before and truthfully, I don't want to try it since everything I've heard about it makes it sound so disgusting.

Waasaaaaaabi!

Nigiri sushi is the bomb! Not that roll stuff, I'm talking original style sushi!

Fun Fact- Sushi was essentialy fast food in feudal Japan. And the average roll or ball was twice its current size. There is also egg sushi, and it is served Nigiri style, though I've never had it.

I love some types of sushi, but others I can't stand... Like California rolls. x.x; I've only once tasted a good California roll.

I don't care for maki....its a neater package, but I don't like seaweed and cucumber very much.

It's fun to watch people try wasabi for the first time...

"What's that green stuff?"

"Oh, try it... lots of it, you'll love it..."

:lol

I like sushi as well, although I don't go out for it very often because so many of my friends are afraid to even try it... so disappointing...

Its very potent, but it doesn't linger on the pallette, unlike cayenne or habanero. I'd say its hotter than any of those, but since its practically gone with a gulp, you don't really mind.

Wasabi is very good. I like to eat it just by itself, than mix the rest in the soy sauce... Usually though, I eat it all then have to ask for some more for the soy sauce. :)

And for those who never tried sushi - it's very good, it just depends on what you order and WHERE you order. Some places make it horrible, I don't know how, but they do ! Other places make it absolutely delicious .....

I finally ate sushi @ the Ferg (Ferguson Center, UA's student center, bookstore, food court, etc)

It was pretty good. Not the best I've had, but worth the 6 bucks. Salmon and tuna, nigiri style. Only complaint is that there's a bit too much rice to make it practical...but nigiri is always messy, so I'm used to it.

Besides learning a spot of Japanese in my Japanese Class, we learned how to cook japanese, and learn how to live there.

We made some sushi, and for a important note:

Sushi is not just raw fish, its the term for anything served uncooked. Pieces of it can be cooked, boiled, etc, but after you combine it, it will remain uncooked. It was good food we made. I stuffed myself on the seaweed, chicken, rice, egg, meal we made.

*Offers anyone who asen't tried Wasabi, some Wasabi.*

here try this funny little green sauce. It can't be hot because its green. It tastes like winterfresh gum. That's green so this can't be bad..........
