The original VSD, all of the marks, had concussion missile batteries which were used to great affect on planetary engagements. The octets on this Mark can be used to bring great fire to bear against one target, or use the advanced battle computer to track and dispatch fighters.
The Mark V retains its inherint ability to entire atmospheres.
The VSD has one major design difference than the previous marks: repuslor lift thursters have been added to the ventral hull, eliminating the need for the hull projections. This gives the visual appearance, from a distance, that the ship is an Imperial-class Star Destroyers, further aided by the installment of a standard command tower.
Field Modifications will result in the xisting VSD being brought to the shipyard for refit, placing the ship out ofacion for two or more weeks.
