Tattoine:

The wind swept across the sand dunes while a small village layed off to her right. People there hustled back and forth, placing bets, eating, working on their ships - totally oblivious to the stranger that came to them today.

Jibrielle carefully picked her way through the sand until she was among that crowd, picking up on different conversations. One said that a sand storm was coming their and immediately she was alert. Indeed, the wind was picking up.

Better get inside.

Breaking away from the surging bodies, she saw a sign hanging above a door that read, "Pennies for the Ferryman". Intrigued, the Disciple pushed the door open and walked inside.

Rogues, outcasts, criminals - not to mention a variety of aliens - littered the tavern, babbling on about everyday nothings. A few fights broke out here and there, but other than that it was ... calm.

Chosing a place in the back, Jibrielle seated herself at a table and rested her head against the wall behind her. Looking ahead, she could see the bartender staring at her face. When he realized she noticed he quickly looked away, busying himself with some glasses.

... All the while, under her cloak, her fingers toyed around with a small compass.

Wraith was seated at the bar when he watched to girl walk in. She seemed unusually calm for being in a place like this, so he decided to check it out. Wraith walked over to her table and stood over her shoulder. "Hey you, whats a matter?"

As if she didn't hear him, Jibrielle began to rock her body back and forth, closing her eyes. The scars on her face were visible even in the dim light - which was why the barkeep stared at her.

The compass was still being held in her hand.

"Nothing's a matter," she finally said, her voice as whispery as an autumn breeze.

"But the question is - what bothers you?"

"Im not sure, but you look like your out of place, as if your concealing something." He looked at her with a contorted smirk on his face. Wraith couldn't quite figure this girl out.

"Why the smirk?"

Her eyes were still closed.

"It doesn't really matter, just an expression. Why are you here? Surely not out of your own desire." Wraith recognized a shiny shimmering object that was clutched in her hand. "What trinket do you carry?"

"Curious, aren't we?"

Lifting her hand up from under the table, she opened her palm and revealed the compass. It was gold and still shimmered in the pale light.

But it wasn't an ordinary compass.

Instead of the regular markings North, East, South, West, it was different. N was replaced with F, S was replaced with A, W was replaced with R. Yet E remained the same.

Even he had to know what it spelled.

"Hmmmm, that interesting. I'm not much into artifacts, but thats definetly out of the ordinary." He stared at it for a little while longer with a puzzled look of confusion on his face.

"But how would you know what was normal? Better yet, how can we make things normal?"

Opening her eyes, Jibrielle closed her fingers around the compass once more, hiding it from view.

"Fear ... It is but life's cycle."

"Yeah whatever, I'm outa here. This doesn't make any sense. I think I've got better things to do." He looked at her for a little longer, then turned to leave. "See you around."

Like so many others, this one didn't have patience or thinking skills.

"Perhaps .. Yes, perhaps."

Once more, alone. Jibrielle leaned back in her seat and stretched out her legs, sighing. What should she have expected from Tattoine? Well, certainly something a little more than what that man had to offer.

"Locals, how do you figure."

Although the voice was targeted at no one in particular, it was apparent as to who it was regarding. A faint smirk broke across the cloaked face of the speaker, as his eyes absently discerned the Dark Jedi. His voice was low, to the point of a whisper, but it was clearly distinct.

Averting his glance towards the fellow patrons for a moment, he panned the room brashly as if looking for someone before settling back on his object of attention for the time being. He awaited some type of response, if any, from the female; the blank grin never seeming to fade from his facial expression.

Her foreboding eyes slid from ahead to the new spokesperson, remaining silent. She noticed the grin that seemed oddly placed on his face and canted her head curiously to the side. A part of Jibrielle wanted to reach out and touch his lips to see if it was real - everything on this planet was "fake".

"Are you a part of this story, too?"

"Depends on the story."

Strange - that was the only adjective he could think of to accurately describe the female. But then again, what was considered normal; and what abnormal. Allowing his stare to slip away, he unveiled the cloak from his face. It wasn't likely he'd be recognized in such a place, and the girl seemed harmless enough, or so he figured.

After spending most of her life being locked up in a traveling spacecraft, she didn't know anyone. Not like she minded.

The only person she really cared about was sir Hobgoblin himself, the one who took her under his wing to be kept at Vjun.

"Were you afraid to reveal yourself?"

A part of a young child still lived within that dull and sullen girl.

Surely he hadn't looked that conspicuous, but it was enough for the Dark Jedi to pick up on. That same stonewalled facade remain etched across his face, as he glanced towards her with a close stare. She was definately blunt with her words.

"Don't we all hold a fear in revealing ourself at some point?"

"Only few know how to control it."

Crossing her ankles, Jibrielle inspected the man curiously. He didn't seem like one of the criminals that frequented this place, so why was he here ? As her mind puzzled over this, she let her gaze wander away from him to the other side of the room.
