Name: Abolisher-class Heavy Cruiser
Type: Heavy Cruiser
Hull: standard Interdictor heavy cruiser chassis with Paralyzer 1124 array. Two globes.
Purpose: Act as a front line warship with Abolisher/Interdictor abilities. Be able to hold its own against a ship of comparable size and do more than swat at fighters.
Size: 620 meters
Crew: 9,000 enlisted. 428 officers.
Weaponry: 10 heavy turbolasers, 20 dual turbolaser turrets, 10 single light emplacements, 5 ion cannon turrets, 12 proton torpedo octets.
Speed: sublight, slightly faster than a Dreadnaught.

As per Imperial Directive, the Interdictor 418 had the ability to be stripped of its globes and made an excellent heavy cruiser with the addition of reinforced armor plating.
The Abolisher is a fine combat ship, but it lacks the potency to take on larger targets, or even targets of comparable size. The ship also lacks the ability to operate independently.
This ship fulfills those specifications.
