ANd worse, apparently Josh Hartnett is in talks now. Suddenly, Nic Cage seems a good pick.

Harnett is way too young, Jude Law was closer to Superman's age, hopefully they will find somebody else for the part, who else is up for it Reaper anybody you heard? Also I agree with you about Farrell, he will work for Batman.
