What he had left behind at the Sith Empire had taken him months to create - his quarters. The room had been perfected to how he liked it, and now on arriving at his newly assigned room here he couldn't help but hiss in disgust and groan in annoyance; he'd have to 'redecorate'.

Firstly, he made sure all the walls were black and the window was constantly barred closed. The plaque on the door that read his name was engraved with runes, scraped cruedly into the metal around his name. The walls too gained these markings. It took him a while, but he managed to empty all his books into a pile in the corner - by the bed, which he upturned so it was on its side, with its sheets yanked out and sprawled jaggedly over it. The end of the bed was jammed hard against the wall, leaving a crack in the dark paintwork.

He sat in the black of the room and hissed, aggrivated by the unfamiliar surroundings. He'd barred the door closed to make sure he wasn't interupted whilst he got used to the new setting, but no doubt some nosey idiot would come knocking soon.

"Fool-sss..."

After greeting (http://www.swforums.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21403) Salem and Wraith before LV appeared, she was in an unusual bad mood. She had retired to her quarters before coming out again, only after several hours passed. Life was becoming boring for the Sith Disciple as of late, with nothing new or unusual happening.

Her blue eyes gazed emptily over the same walls she passed so many times. Reaching up with a pale violet arm, she placed her hand sideways on the wall and dragged her fingers as she walked.

Her fingers bumped into a door frame and she quickly withdrew her hand, looking sharply at it. There was a plaque hanging lopsided on the door with several scratchings on it. Upon further inspection, Cherice realized that it was Salem who occupied the room. Knowing that he probably had better things to do than be pestered, she turned quickly, her elbow knocking into the door.

"Damnit," she whispered, stepping back from the door. Her other hand reached up to massage the newly formed bruise.

His dark eyes jerked upwards from the tome he cradled in his lap. Quickly, he wandered his claws over the pages and slammed the old book closed and pushed it back into the uneven stack with the others. As he pushed himself up to his feet - or rather, into a stoop, his body becoming double over - his bat-kin ears twitched.

"Damnit."

The pattern of the voice ran through his mind, and after a brief hestitation he recognised the tone as the demonling who'd welcomed him into this particular Order. A curious smirk played momentarily on his lips and as he rose to his feet to knock back the hinge that barred the door, he felt himself almost laugh. The visit he'd predicted had arrived.

"Ye-sss?"

He questionned from behind the closed door.

She was about to walk away when she heard the Vampyre say, "Ye-sss?". Pausing in mid-step, she turned back to the door and quirked an eyebrow.

"Just passing by."

"Passssssing by includesss knocking on the doo-rrr?"

Slowly, yet fluidly, he approached the door, moving so that he was stood with one ear pressed to the wood. He could hear the low breathing from outside, and the sound of heart beating.

"Passing by includes a new bruise."

Pouting slightly, she crossed her arms and continued to stare at the door. She had a feeling that he was right by the door, and continued to have a raised brow.

This Salem proved to be more interesting as each second passed.

His hand slid up the grain of the door, then back down as he traced the marks - ruins - with the thin claws he bore. A barely audible scratch resounded as a result.

"Do you sss-eek to sss-ee me?" he hissed rather childishly.

"Do you want me to ?"

A faint sigh passed through her lips as she continued to stare at the door. Her sensitive hearing picked up some sort of scratching noise - obviously the Vampyre.

He dropped backwards slowly, wretching the door open as he slid in between the space that was created between the wall and the door itself. Cherice got a clear view of the inside of the room - pitch black.

"Ye-sss."

Darkness filled Salem's entire room as his voice hissed out from the blackness, absolutely delighting the Succubi. Her blue eyes tore themselves away from his quarters and onto the Vampyre himself.

She made no move to step inside.

"What lovely quarters," she purred, her voice low.

Salem slid sideways, boots squeaking against the metallic floor to look at the girl. The light from the hallway made him cringe momentarily. He made a vague motion with one hand for her to come in as he retreated away into the shadows.

Her first invitation from a Vampyre.

Smiling inwardly towards herself, Cherice stepped inside and closed the door behind her, noticing the way he winced at the light. She licked the front of her teeth while studying what she could make out in the darkness.

It appeared that the walls were dark - probably black - and that he read lots of books. Dumped in a pile. In a corner. And his bed ...

She envied him for not having the feeling that everything had to clean and perfect.

"You must be comfortable here."

It was completely stark black in the room now. Cherice could hear footfalls as Salem retreated to one side of the room, then returned, passing her - tugging on her shoulder for her to follow. After a very short walk, he stopped, and something metallic clicked in his hand.

Then a light popped on. Dull as it was, coming from a lamp, it illuminated the room fairly well.

"Yesss, verrry much so,"

He motioned down to ... some sort of chair, if you could call it that. It looked like once it had been a fine couch, though time - or big knives perhaps? - had worn it a little.

"Have a ssseat, Ssssuccubi."

Sitting down, Cherice crossed her legs and watched Salem curiously. She could see him better now with the light but remained silent. For some reason, she was at loss of words at the moment and waited for him to say something.

"Ssspeak," he said, in the form of a command.

"Tell me about yourrrssself. Now."

Suddenly Cherice bristled with irritation. She didn't appreciate the way he spoke to her.

"Learn some manners," she sneered.

"Then maybe you'll get what you want."

Standing up, she glared up at him. He was taller than she - no doubt about that - but nobody commanded her except Jehova.

"No."

Salem looked down at her, and rose a hand.

"If you don't like how I act, then leave. I will not change my waysss on other peoplesss whimsss."

"Goodbye then, Salem. Maybe we'll meet again in the future."

Cherice swept past him to the door, opening it as she stepped out. Casting one last look over her shoulder, she closed the door behind her and began to walk off. Pride - yes, it was a trait of hers that would never go away. Perhaps it would be the end of her someday, but for now, she was content with how she was.

Maybe Salem would follow, maybe he wouldn't. Either way, she wouldn't have stayed after what just happened.

"Sssome people,"

He laughed faintly and dropped down into his upturned bed, shaking his head.
