The game isn't that bad, but you're stuck as Rendar for all of it if I remember right. The ending will be a surprise to you. He's one of my least favorite EU characters so I'm not missing him one bit.

Well, if you really want to know...
after Xizor's ship is destroyed Rendar escapes in the Outrider. There's a cut scene with him and his droid talking about how great it will be to have the whole galaxy thinking their dead, blah, blah, blah... You know, there SOTE ended in a way that they could have easily brought back Xizor. But again, I don't think his character was popular enough to have him brought back, but you never know.

He then met the newly deprogrammed Guri, and was last seen harrying the Peace Brigade in the NJO era

So when the Outrider "explodes", it really doesn't explode? I thought he was good and dead. When was it revealed that he actually surprised?

ReaperFett

the game, and the SOTE: Evolution comic

I finished the game on easy, but I don't remember seeing what happened to Rendar. I also read SOTE, but I don't remember what became of him after the outrider "exploded" either. I guess I should pay more attention next time...:rolleyes

So only the video game then tells you what happens to him?

THe NEGTC
And that would be...? What, the last character guide?

ReaperFett
Aug 10th, 2002, 08:23:58 PM
Yeah. By being in that, it goes into the LFL portfolio of info. So, if he was to be in another novel, that would have happened.

GOt a couple like that. Quite nice

Does that character guide have Dash in anything NJO? Because there's nothing at the official site.

ReaperFett

Nope, doesnt say anywhere, but I think he was in Rebel Stand. it's like the Isard wasnt killed theory. Hints tell you, but nothing strong

Jedieb

I haven't heard any Isard theories. The novel certainly made it seem like she was killed. How'd it go again, Corran had the lock, and then another pilot used his lock to vape her as she escaped, right? I don't think they'll bring Dash back anytime soon. He really didn't go over very well.

ReaperFett

After the Corran vape she comes back, she is shot, has a death scene like the Corrand eath scenes, and then comes along convo about another level on the Luskansya.

And I doubt Dash would ever get more than a mention

Jedieb

So Iella shot her in what, one of the later RS novels? Was it one of the Wraith novels, because I just don't remember when she bought it?

Back to Dash,

The Outrider is seen in a New Hope, its flying off as Luke and Obi drive in. The reason they didn't use Dash in any other EU books is becuse he was way to much like Han Solo. Come on, 2 Han Solo's would drive me insane. They are both smugglers, both have tweaked out ships, they both have a non-human partner. God, its to much. But the one thing I have to add about the SOTE Game itself. Mind Controlling Wampa's. The Most BAD ass thing ever! Also, it was the first Star War's Game which had the Star Destroyer's close to the correct size. In the skyhook battle, the SD was huge! But then play X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter, which also came out close to the same time, and the Star Destroyers where about the size of a Corvette.

I actually like the Character of Dash.

I think he was much closer to the original plan for Han, and this makes him more enjoyuable.

Think about it, he had more reason then most to join the rebellian, but stayed on the Fringe to make profit.

Where does he come in during X-Wing Alliance? I got most of the other mentions.

Theres a mission where you help Luke and the Bothans take the Death Star plans. Dash is with you, even has some lines straght from the book
