Zasz had been walking along the crowded streets of Coruscant after getting a tattoo from one of the parlors. The tattoo he had gotten had been his family crest, and covered all of his back, but he couldn't see it now due to the fact he had his whole body shrouded in cloth.

He made his way down an alley, to be alone and think for a bit. What was going on right now? Nothing seemed to be going down at that moment, no battles for him, no relationships. However, The Black Hand was coming together and strengthening, and numbers were increasing, but he seemed to be keeping to himself, like he always did, regardless.

He sighed as he looked upwards to the sky, trying to see the starts, but could not due to all the lights on the planet of Coruscant. The polluted area made him think again. And then he felt something, someone else was here.

He unclipped his lightsaber from his belt and ignited the crimson blade and held it in his right hand. He looked back and forth in the alley, and then at the glowing red blade. It illuminated his face, and the rest of his body which was shrouded in a black cloak. He was walking along and moved his lightsaber against the steel wall and pushed it against it and lightly dragged it on the metal, melting it as he was looking for the one he felt.

The stench...it was horrible. It sickened him--literally made him gag. It was the thick saturation of the darkside that made him want to wash his mouth out. He despised the smell--no, he hated it. He had smelled this one from a long ways away, and now it was time that he end the stench.

He silently stalked the man on the tops of the buildings. Jeran was agile--built about medium sized, his frame lean and muscular. He had no problem climbing over the jagged and often obstructed tops of the buildings to reach his destination. He had been extremely quiet--as a matter of fact, so quiet he had mangaged to sneak up on a bird. But the man below him sensed him. No matter how hard one tried it was often times difficult to conceal one's Force signature.

The Dark Jedi or Sith or Sorcerer or whatever he wished to be called--scum, Jeran preferred--stood and ignited his saber. He drug it along the metal walls of the alley menacingly. He could feel Jeran, but he hadn't located him yet. Jeran slipped down the wall in a slow, quiet fashion and into one of the pitch black corners. He reached out with the Force, to speak in the other's mind.

You must be careful what you wish for, friend. When one ignites a lightsaber, it draws quite a bit of attention to oneself. he said in a soft voice in the other's mind. Jeran, clad in his dark brown robes and cloak, stared towards the man from within his hood. He could not see Jeran's face in the darkness of the hood, but Jeran made it easy for Zasz to feel his eyes on the back of his head.

In such a crowded city, where anyone and anything could roam about, what was the point of cloaking her signature? A few sparks floated through the air as she put the last few touches in the wiring of a new saber (http://www.boomspeed.com/lucere/gi_newsaber1.jpg). She sighed and tossed the small tool over her shoulder before hooking the hilt to the black cloth around her thigh.

Gitane eyed the rose scarred into her arm silently, perched on the edge of a roof, her cloak wrapped around her to conceal her body, making it look like little more than a collection of rubbage on the rooftop. Her ivory eyes sparked to attention as the familiar glowing cylinder of a lightsaber lit the alley below her. Her ebony-painted lips twisted into an intrigued grin as another figure approached. The demi-Falleen pulled her feet up and snaked along the roof, before making her way down a gutter pipe, the chains wrapped around her bust making small chimes with her movements.

It was common knowledge that the Black Hand considered themselves above the level of a normal group, so much so that they were perhaps a brotherhood, a family even. In this way, they were known to stand up for each other, and look out for each others wellbeings - one cannot have eyes in the back of their head to see oncoming daggers, thus it is useful to have a shadow protecting you. Granted, Vega wasn't exactly fond of the one known as Zasz ... but still, he was a member.

He'd watched the other approach, a supposed hunter, with a smirk. What a fool. There were too many of them now, crusaders for justice, and they all had one thing in common - death followed them and hung over their presence like a pall. A sneer passed the Lupine Dark Lord's lips as he jumped from a first floor rooftop, landing silently, effortless on the pavement.

The dank air had a certain something to it this evening, no doubt caused by the weapons that had been drawn by both Zasz and the blind one. With a subtle movement, he retrieved the saber hilt from his belt and thumbed the surface texture absently.

There was another watching what was going on. His eyes turned backwards, up towards the light of the moon to catch a figure on the rooftops. His lips drew upwards, pursing into a serpentine smile as the force presence was drawn towards him, revealing the watchers identity. He achknowledged the shadow dweller with a mock salute and light nod before looking back on towards the beginning combat.

Wraith flinched as he felt a large presence of the force, just outside the bar he was in several blocks away. He left abruptly, leaving no tip or bill. It was almost pitch black in the low streets of Coruscant as he proceeded to the area that he sensed. Something big was about to happen in the alley behind were Wraith now stood. He sensed several esences. Three, maybe four. He turned and crept silently around the corner to see several shapes moving in the darkness. One followed by another. One crawling down a wall. And another, which seemed to be apart from the rest. This intrigued Wraith. His night would not be over after all. He silently crept, waiting for someone to pull the trigger.

"You know, it's rude to hide."

Zasz turned around and raised his hand, he saw some slight movement and he gave the man no time to react as he threw a ball of energy his way, it slammed him into the wall and he began to tumble quickly towards the ground. Still holding his saber, he stalked towards where the man would land.

He quickly picked up on the others that were there. He grinned. More people always meant more fun. And this night would be fun filled adventure. He felt 3 others, aside from the man who was currently falling to the ground. He would plummet to his death unless he did something rather quickly.

He held his lightsaber in anticipation, moved it quickly back in forth in an impatient manner. He narrowed his eyes as he could see the man rushing quickly towards him...

Finally the battle had begun. The one he saw was not as dumb as he seemed. Wraith would wait a little longer, for he needed to analyze the situation a little more. He knew nothing of these warriors. All he knew was, if they weren't Sith, they would all die by his hands. He watched as two of them fought and the others stayed in standby postion.

Jeran recovered from the energy ball and made his way safely out of harm. He sniffed the air...Hmmmmm...looks like we got company. He wasn't sure how many--1, 10, 100--he couldn't tell. The stink was really overwhelming, which could mean great power or great numbers. Who knew.

SWISH

He ducked the man's next slash at his head. Come on, Jeran, focus on this guy, not the others. You almost bit it there... He recovered himself by ducking and rolling right, ignited his saber, and slashed upwards at the warrior. He blocked the attack easily and repositioned. Something bugged him about the smell...he had smelled it somewhere before...

"Ya know this ain't gonna be pretty," he said to his opponent, squaring up for a new attack. "Looks like we got company--did anyone else RSVP for this party?" He said this with another slash towards the other's left arm.

The battle intensified between the two comabtents. Wraith could already tell that two of them were Sith and the other apeared to be... maybe a Jedi? Why weren't the others becoming involved? Maybe they were doing exacltly what he was doing. Wraith needed more insight, so he continued to watch.

Gitane Van Derveld

The white pools of her eyes narrowed as Gitane crouched to the ground, glancing quickly about the area. There were others, and these two had obviously sensed it. Her fingers scratched absently on the ground, yearning to put the new saber to the test. But upon which one?

Gitane turned her head slightly to the side, her tongue running across the edges of her teeth. In the shadows, it was difficult to tell where the one's clothes stoped and the darkness began; The only thing keeping him all too visible was his flaming hair and deadly pale skin. Focusing on him, alone, Gitane conttinued clawing at the ground in feline movements. It wasn't hard to pick up the man's signature, it, as well as he, were quite strong and dark. A Lord, perhaps? Or something similar.

As soon as the second spoke, she cringed at the awful accent. Not even bothering to try and pick up his signature, her mind declared him the enemy; with his crime as having that voice, if nothing else.

Gitane sank further towards the wall and grinned almost childishly as she kept her eyes on the man. Her voice stretched into his mind rather easily, rather sing-song in tone.

If this is a party, then we need some music.. Perhaps you could scream a bit?

Jeran Conrad
Aug 17th, 2002, 01:52:28 PM
You are kiddin me-- he thought as Zasz blocked his slash. He took two steps back, sadly blocked between the two. One on hand there was the Sith he hunted...on the other hand, there was this new one--green, ugly, rude--she would be called Green. Easy enough to remember.

He regained his footing, and stood between the two. Dangit, this was gonna be rough.

"Well then, looks like we gotta nice crew here, eh? Three's company."

Zasz Grimm
Aug 18th, 2002, 08:23:11 PM
"Crew? You are mistaken. Aside from the fact, three's not company, it's a crowd. Makes you the odd man out"

With that, he lashed outwards to the man with his saber, but he quickly dodged the attack and managed to get away. But that didn't keep Zasz from attacking once again at the man.

The Dark Knight lunged at the man with his saber blade, watched as it was batted away. He let on another attack to him but it was blocked. He began to walk backwards before looking at him.

"Really, you shouldn't have come here, hunter."

Zasz held his saber as he began to focus on his energy, mumbling words to himself. He channeled his Darkside energy and then let it come forth, engulfing the man that was Jeran. He immediately began to burn up. His hair and skin began to smolder, his clothes following as flame burst forth onto his hands and elsewhere on him.

"Choose your battles wisely fool..."

Jeran Conrad
Aug 18th, 2002, 08:50:42 PM
Jeran almost fell backwards as he found himself engulfed in flames. They burned--were burning his clothes and his hair. But they would not touch his skin--he fought them. He let the Force flow though him as the flames attacked him. But he would not sear. It cleansed his skin. It protected him. He threw his cloak off as it was burning and put out his hair with it. The flaming mess was flung to the ground as it smoldered.

"Don't get confused, bub. I ain't no push around." He was angry now. Unlike most lightsiders, he did not fear his anger. Occasionaly, and with moderation, it could benefit one. He let his anger power into his hands, as he brought them infront of him. He aimed his forearms at Zasz, letting a blast of Force errupt from his fingertips. The shockwave was large, sending the knight into a durasteel wall, caving it in with the momentum of his body. He kept an eye on the green one behind him as well.

Jeran was torn from his feet as he send Zasz backwards, and found himself lashing through the air straight into a wall. His head cracked against the surface and as the moment of dizziness passed he saw a hand rise upwards and slam against his throat, before whipping him outwards and throwing him hard down against the floor.

"Mind your tongue, blasphemer."

A brilliant yellow beam cut through the darkness and its tip became trained on angling down at the so-called Hunter.

Jeran Conrad
Aug 19th, 2002, 08:02:48 PM
Blasphemer? Haven't been called that one before, he quickly thought as the beam came rushing at his face. He guessed it didn't much matter what he had heard or thought--especially since this guy sure didn't care. He broke the grasp of the man--a very, very strong grasp, and dropped to a crouch as the blade stabbed into the concrete above his head. He thought this the perfect oppurtunity to cut the man open with his own saber. He brought the slash upward into the man's gutt--

No, he didn't. The warrior blocked his slash with blinding speed he had rarely seen. It was like the miss never effected him. Jeran decided this was bad. He rolled out of the corner he was pinned in and came up on his feet. He surveyed the scene. Three obviously dark auras and one light sider....

"F*&%," he said.

The throw admitted to Zasz by Jeran was anything but strong as he was standing up. He held his lightsaber as he began to stalk forward to the man, is if hunting. He looked and saw Vega come into view. For him being here, it was very unnecessary, Zasz could handle himself.

He walked forward, regardless, holding his saber, his face showing that of calmness, with some subdued anger. He watched as the man tried to attack Vega, but had no success whatsoever.

Zasz looked upwards, feeling another presence. A darkside presence. Who was that woman who was near the wall, keeping her distance? He narrowed his eyes, but also kept watch on Jeran and Vega.

Wraiths presence resonated close to the battle field. He did not show himself, but he knew the rest of them felt him. Wraith moved next to Vega, watching. Slowly Jeran was being teamed up on. It seemed every one was against him. Too bad. Wraith waited until Jeran had his hands full to strike.

He turned around sharply, his instantly training upon Wratih. Stalking forward towards where he could get a good sight upon him, a grin curved up into his lips, causing his elongated canines to gleam in the night-like.

"I'm sorry but your assumption is incorrect. Dont jump to conclusions so soon. My only interest is in the Jedi." He turned and watched as the Jedi was slowly being overwhelmed. Wraith hoped that he wouldn't have to fight any of his own bretheren, but if it came to it, he would.

"Is this a private matter, or can anyone join in?" A sonorous deep voice echoed on the durasteel walls of the alley.

Twin gleaming white eyes pierced the dense night fog. A man's silhouette shimmered within its rancid plume. His gaze covered the four men standing inside the passageway, then shifted to include the woman suspended along side a building.

Present conditions obscured the newcomer's form, preventing the quartet of Dark Siders from realizing a tight grip the warrior sustained on twin hilts, poised at either end of his back.

Aug 26th, 2002, 08:47:18 AM
Not this piece of sh-- Jeran thought as he saw Wraith. But then something happened. A voice echoed from the shadows with a deep undertone that fronted a serious demeanor. He sniffed the air--the best way to catch force signatures, he always thought--and could only identify four dark presences. This other...maybe he wasn't out to harm Jeran. That'd be a nice friggin surprise for once, he thought as he reveiwed the massive amounts of battles he had been in lately.

The other's eyes shined brightly as the rest of his figure was hidden. Jeran sniffed again--odd. Not an overwhelmingly light presence--like a Jedi--but one of good. More like a vigilante...more like himself.

He looked deep into the shimmering eyes, hoping to connect minds for a split second to drop in a secret word. He did.

Are you here to help out the underdog, or are ya joinin the pummeling?

Nemesis

Jeran's words pierced the warrior's mind. It was a shame he could not respond to the Light Sider's inquiry being devoid of any Force abilities himself. Nemesis trusted that his presence would in some way reveal his intent to aid the hopelessly outnumbered hunter.

Flecks of ivory light still burned in the mist. Their gaze tarried on the four assailants, poising the ominous newcomer for retaliation against any further brutality. His grasp on each hilt tightened, ensuring to give forth no detectable sound while unsheathing twin blades.

"This ones mine." Wraith stepped out into the frey, eyes intent upon the figure in front of him. He could see Nemesis move to draw his weapons. Wraith would be the distraction while the others destroyed Jeran, then it would be simple. Wraith brought the long silver handle of his weapon out from underneath his cape. Spinning it out then stopping it, he ignited the glacier blue scythe. A chill wind swept about the alley as he mustered up the Sith blood in his viens. He waited and decided to play defense for once.

The obsidian warrior stepped beyond the realms of the shadows and onto the grounds of the ongoing conflict. His dark appearence seemed to have produced a unlit combination with the surrounding enviroment, allowing the ebony individual to wander undetected. His eyes were playing relentless spies, recepting all information on his enviroment at astonoshing speed. He continued to emcompass the perimeter, placing close attention on the ever present darksiders. The obscure man passed by them undetected, his faint breathing remotely heard. The warrior's right hand reached into the black depths of his jacket, removing a weapon of some fashion from his shrouded clothing. Still enveloping the sector, some scarse light fell upon the man's object, revealing it's purpose. Morpheus brought a halt to his steps, remaining completely motionless. In one rabid movement, the mysterious individual casted an electrical star into Wraith's chest, voltage coursing deeply through the man's physique. At last he collapsed from the momentary anguish, his body aching with discomfort and agony. Morpheus made his advance, grasping for his concealed twin blades before others could take notice of his swift assult. The now detected combatant prepared himself for combat, keeping solid grip on his sharp insturments. The sparse light glistened off their sheer edges.

"People.." Gitane made a disgusted face at the crowd forming. She despised crowds. Her ivory eyes darted amongst them boredly, looking for something. Anything. Her attention shifted to the man with flaming hair. A thin eyebrow raised as she spun her saber's hilt on her finger.

Are you as bored of this circus as I am?

Her voice spoke clearly in his mind, a soft, rich accent to it. With that, she reattached her saber to her thigh and let her cloak whip over her shoulder, exposing the scantly clad, jade skin. After that, she let her eyes wander to fall upon Vega, a teasing look in her eyes as she blew him a kiss.

"I didn't know you played with weaklings, Vega."

She was obviously taunting the whole lot of them, not just the Dark Lord. She knew the first man was a great deal stronger than her, and so was Vega, but she was curious how the lot would react.

Vega Van-Derveld

His eyes shifted from the one he'd spoken to, to Gitane. He rose one hand and blew an over exaggerated kiss back at her.

"Well I hung around with you for two god-forsaken years, didn't I?" he quipped in return as he turned back away from her to look to the others, wondering when someone would be stupid enough to challenge him.

Jeran Conrad
Aug 27th, 2002, 08:26:32 AM
As the new warrior entered the fray, Jeran felt as though he was being protected by an unseen force. Truly, this would not be his day to die--though he still patiently waited for that day. It would come soon enough, he'd always thought.

He took a moment to scan the scene and noticed a few things:

1) The two newcomers were attacking the Sith. This was good, as far as he was concerned. He couldn't sense the dark side in them, so he figured they weren't dark jedi. If they were...the time would come to deal with that later.

2) The green thing (which was pretty ugly, really--Jeran wasn't a fan of green skin) was looking as thought it was giving up and calling it a day.

3) Wraith was on the ground--which in any case, was an excellent thing. He knew Wraith like the back of his hand, and the last thing he needed was another fight with the icy warrior. It always seemed he barely escaped cold death.

4) The Sith Lord--the one that had gave him some serious pain early on, was being patient. This was good--gave Jeran some time for a battle plan.

After the analysis, he decided it best to wait for something to happen. Hey--he wasn't saving the friggin manatees here--he was on his own agenda. He didn't feel the need to jump back in. Also, he was healing from the wounds Vega inflicted.

So, his saber poised, he kept a crouched, defensive position with his back to the wall, so as to prevent a suprise attack from another party crasher. Keeps gettin interestin, he thought.

The ebony figure stepped beyond the veil of mist, his boots resounding long hollow thuds as he moved casually forward. Halting once to gaze upon his fallen would be opponent, Nemesis proceeded to step over Wraith's prone body and advanced along side Morpheus.

"Good of you to come." His speech was smooth yet repressed, intended for his comrade's ear alone.

Those flashing white eyes, birthed from obscurity, guarded an unrelenting vigil on the Dark Sider's that lingered near. From the warrior's stance, their watch encompassed all occupants of the alleyway, including that of Jeran; assuring his safety.

"Let the hunter go." With these words his tone regained its typical military baring, and stated in such a manner that the sentence was an order rather than a request.

Bleached white lights of the city glinted on exposed blades, jutting from both sides of Nemesis' inky cloak. Sleeves devoid of arms hung limp, flanking its owner.

Zasz looked towards the woman and then towards Nemesis. He was suggesting that they give up, let him go. But no, Jeran came to pick this fight. Zasz held his saber upward as he advanced towards where Vega was. He looked to Jeran and then back to Nemesis...

"And you would be? "

He waited for the mans answer. This man was just in the way, and getting into something larger than he. His hair blew in the wind as his eyes stared at the man, red pupils flaring bright, his mind opened in an attempt to respond to the girl, and it had success...

"Yes, indeed. This is a rather poor display.."

He looked to Vega. He was not included with this message. His power was that, or more than Zasz's own. He knew that.

The Dark Knight breathed in the air and looked to the others, ready for anything and everything...

Gitane poked her tongue out at the Lord, obviously referring to Thanatos and Galatea; Their two children. Finally, the Falleen took leave of the shadows and roamed through the crowd, to stand before Vega.

"Enjoying your new toy? Or has she tired of you, yet?"

She didn't let him respond to the question, for she turned away to look at the duo trying to protect the Hunter. A growl slide from her throat.

The Ranger stood erect, motionless. Piercing ivory eyes wavered not.

"We came to reclaim our comrade."

His view shifted to rest on each of the Dark Jedi, individually for a brief moment, then returned to watch over the whole.

Comrade. He had used the word comrade. Jeran felt something stir in him that hadn't for quite some time. He wasn't sure what it was, but it softly tugged at his worn spirit.

Wraith got up after laying there for several moments from the shock of the electrical impulse. He slowly stood up to see the posse of people debating some issue that he did not care for. At that moment Nemesis went flying by his side. One down, two left. The immensley large presence of darkness here would devour them all. To his left there was a venitaltion pipe, some fifty feet up it ran upon the side of the building. Wraith ignited his scythe, then sliced the pipe at its base. Using the force, he manuevered it to fall upon the unsuspecting Jeran and Morpheus. It collapsed upon them, trapping the two Jedi like rats. If they had been more aware of their surroundings, it would not have happened. Wraith laughed to himself as he circled around to stand beside Vega.

Nemesis
Aug 30th, 2002, 12:09:42 PM
Though the largest of the Dark Sider's excelled in powered, he lacked that which is far more important to warfare...wisdom. Foolish men tempt fate and attack prior to understanding their foe.

Suddenly, a deafening crash rang out as a large pipe fell upon the assassin's allies. Wraith had severed the coupling on a nearby ventilation network.

Swiftly, Nemesis lept back to his feet. Vega's force throw had done little in the way of defeating the hunter. Reclaiming his blades from the icy concrete; he slashed at the metal cylinder, freeing Jeran and Morpheus.

With his comrades now loosed, the glacial ivory eyes narrowed on Frostmourne.

"Do not interfere with that which you do not understand, boy." His voice lashed out with an ever burning fire. "You think I do not know you. Your cowardice proceeds you. You attack when your foes are outnumbered or weakened, having not the courage to face them, less they see the yellow of your spine. Your loyalty is as fleeting as the wind, blowing to the side that proves the upper hand. No doubt you would turn on the very woman that birthed you, if the opportunity presented itself."

Desire to strike out immersed his soul, but was forcibly quenched. Anger clouded his judgement, a deadly mistake if not corrected. His watch left Wraith, returning a unrelenting stare to Vega.

"If you adress me sirrah," he began.

"Then you are doing little but show your own fear by lecturing me. If you knew me well, you would know infact that I would have no quarrel with 'turning on the very woman that birthed me', nor do I have qualms with attacking those outnumbered,"

He smiled thinly,

"The fact of the matter is, if you had the upper hand here, you too would be flaunting it. I am simply exerting my nature as a humanoid," he added with a laugh.

"Do not assume you know what I would do in your position, dark one. My comments were directed to the man that now stands beside you." He raised a gloved hand to Frostmourne. "However, if you claim to be of like mind, then my statement stands for you, as it does for your dog of a sidekick."

The ebony warrior's eyes gleamed brighter.

"I do not fear you in the least. Death is the only thing we have need to fear, and death.....comes to us all."

He stood poised to defend against an assualt from any of the Dark Siders.

"Yes, I am getting sick of it myself. You know nothing of which you speak. I will take none of your false insight, for death has been chosen to be dealt to you first!" Wraith wouldn't abide to anything this Jedi said. It was his allies fault that they turned their back on him, as if Morpheu's move upon Wraith was not equally as cowardice. He stood his ground next to Vega, waiting to hear the outcome of this dull conversation.

Jeran, not being a conversationalist himself, was a bit bored at all the talking. Sure--it was good that he wasn't injured or worse; but he felt that a solution wasn't coming any time soon. He was pretty sure of that.

"Look, I don't know what all the talk's about, but I do know one thing. This was a matter between me and--" pointing to Zasz "him. Now, it's become some kinda circus. As soon as all you scumbags stepped in--"pointing to Vega, Wraith, and the green thing "--it got bad. And I was a dead man before These two showed up." He was talking about Nemesis Morpheus. "So why do I get the feeling that this is way outta my hands now?" He made eye contact with Vega. "You really rained on my parade, bub."

Gitane Van Derveld

Upon hearing the dark warrior's statement of death, Gitane couldn't help but laugh. Ignoring what the Hunter and the weak excuse for a darksider were saying, she strode toward Nemesis and grinned at him.

"You fear death? The righteous, mysterious man of black fears death!"

She laughed again, before flipping her saber's hilt from her thigh and grasping it in her hand.

"Trust me... Death is nothing. Quite literally. A big, black void of nothing."

Her solid ivory eyes widened a bit as her grin grew more eccentric. She lifted her hand, just enough that the unlit end of her lightsaber pressed to the man's armoured chest, her thumb poised on the small, slick button.

"Would you like to find out for yourself?"

Nemesis
Aug 30th, 2002, 09:32:07 PM
"Madame, with all due respect..." his tone denoting there was none to be given, "I never stated a personal fear of death. My reference was in the fact of its inevitability. One in my profession would find himself unemployed rather quickly if he feared death. As for your invitation to taste its fruits, you have as much a chance of killing me as our icy friend over there." With that he harshly slapped the unlit saber from his chest.

His gaze never passed from Vega, holding firm even at the woman's trivial threat. Shards of the disabled pipping still lay strewn about the ally way.

"What say you then? Shall we allow for your companion.." motioning toward Zasz, "...and the Hunter to finish what they started, without further involvement by either side, thus proving who is the better; or would you prefer to taste my blade as well?"

The assassin's stance tensed as he readied himself for conflict, keeping a wary eye to the green female while dedicating most of his attention to Vega and Frostmourne.

There are, what, five of us, and three of you. You assume way too much."

Wraith still had his hands poised to his side, still grasping his scythe. He was sure that most of the Sith were eager for action, and this nemesis was what was stopping them. If it came down to it, Wraith would be the one to spark the first move.

" It is quite astonishing how such a diminutive man can possess such a gloating tounge. Your words are of such has children's, foolish and unwise. I am growing tired of your constant disturbing presence, and your empty expressions will lead to your demise. "

Morpheus's words were obviously directed at Wraith Frostmourne, the man of tiny influence and even less intelligence. The mysterious individual stood tall, his twin blades clutched within the firm hold of his hands.

" It is fatuous to believe we approach your kind lacking any tactics. We do not deliver our combat similar to your kind, who attack such has wild animals, casting yourselves into continous pitfalls. We approach with cunning operations and brilliant offenses. Nevertheless, go about believing in your own hollowness, and see where it leads yourselves. "

Sorsha's eyes dilate into obsidian mirrors as she weaves her fingers in Kuji-kiri and invokes a strange mantra. Shadows spring up from where Nemesis, Morpheus and Jeran stand. Shimmering black tendrils form into biting, eel-like mouths as they weave themselves around the three men ::

Aug 31st, 2002, 12:39:14 PM
The soft echo of foot steps were becoming louder as Raiden approached from behind Morpheus and Nemesis. Then a voice came from behind them "Hello brothers need some assistance? It looks like I have arrived just in time." Raiden smiled and looked at the cold hearted enemies that stood before him.

In the instant that Raiden had appeared, the Dark Lord had turned and moved one palm up into the air. From his finger tips erupted a Force push which cast the man backwards, throwing him against a large dumpster. Turning to look down towards Wraith, he smirked. It seemed he had allied himself with Vega, hardly suprising considering he was among the most powerful present.

"A weak man hides behind words. Draw a weapon or prepare to be torn limb from limb," he barked loudly, chuckling as he watched Sorsha's shadows snake around the frames of the trio.

"Whatever you say dark one. I am prepared." His scythe was now ignited. Wraith had been waiting for this ever since he first arrived, but someone had brought about a long and boring conversation which passivied the whole moment. This was turning out to be quite the party. He readied himself, summoning all the force to him that he possibly could. Morpheus was now number one on his hitlist. He wondered how they would handle this situation with Sorsha's abomination.

Raiden stands to his feet and tightens up his fists. "That was a mistake my friend, your not the only one with tricks" Raiden walks over between Morpheus and Nemesis then presses a button on both of his gloves making them hummm. Then he directs both hands toward Vaga and says "Ever felt a direct hit from an EMP?" he then fires at Vega sending him flying in the air like a rag doll. As he falls he hits the rock hard ground face first. Raiden then pulls out from his pocket a silver ball the size of a marble and he throws it at Sorsha. Before it hits her face it explodes with a blinding light witch makes her fall to a knee and the shadows around Morpheus, Jeran, and Nemesis diminish. Raiden then pulls out his Vibro-Sword, turns it on, and grasps it with both hands ready for battle."No more talk"

Nemesis activated a small oval comlink, "Brethren...attack."

The thick, black cloak flew from his shoulders, as he dashed across the ally. Halting briefly; the warrior stepped forward, pivoted on his left heel, and placed the right boot laces against Wraith's chin with a powerful spinning side kick. Frostmourne tumbled back, striking the ground back first as he fell.

The target shifted to a prone Vega. Vaulting over his first opponent, the Ranger plummeted, bringing both swords to bare, directed for the Dark Sider's chest.

With firm grip of his twin blades still in place, the obsidian knight began his relentless assullt on Wraith. The frigid Sith had just arose from the offense made by Nemesis, and now Frostmourne had a new combatant to deal with. He foremost thrashed at the upper section of the man's scythe with his right blade, momentarily leaving the man incapable of any defense has his scythe fell to the ground below. The ebony figure leaped into the air, delivering a swift yet potent kick to Wraith's midsection, casting him back to the solid surface he had moments ago arose from.

:: I had gotten the signal from Nemesis that I was needed. So
I came. Red had reported so much force energy that the guage had overloaded. That meant either a lot of jedi or a lot of sith. Preferably sith, then I could do my job. I arrived to scene, my red trenchcoat flowing a bit as I stayed away from any force sensing capabilities. I'm sure the sith would enjoy the reason why they couldn't detect me later. I was waiting for the signal from Nemesis to make my move. I didn't even have my staff drawn yet, I saw no point so far. The pale skinned man in black had just been kicked away by Nemesis and Morpheus stood to the side like the all knowing figure he was. And then the commlink message came in...
"Brethren attack"
Without a word I charged forward, my arm unslinging from inside the sleeve of my jacket, the other arm still in the other sleeve, I drew my staff. I was at the female sith befor anyone else could react to the red blur. I stood before her for a moment, only to let her draw her own weapon as my staff extended to it's real 8 feet length. I had heard the conversation before her and Nemesis before the real engagement had begun and her words were but merely a joke now.::

Wraith felt the foot brush into his face as he went flying back into a garbage pile. He rose to find Morpheus charging at him. His blue scythe answered the call of Morpheus as their two blades met in the air. Before he could react, another foot struck him back towards a wall. His shadowy figure got up, brushing away the minimal pain that the Jedi had inflicted. "So it has begun then." The pathetic begining offensive of the Jedi's was over. Now it was time for them to feel the true onslaught of the darkside. Wraith aimed the emitter of his scythe and fired an ice needle into Morpheus's left thigh. He leapt over Morpheus to land behind him then deliverd a side kick to Raiden's torso to give him and Morpheus some space. The ice around the Jedi's leg was begining to spread, creating another foe for him to deal with. Wraith swept Morpheus out from underneath his feet then brought his scythe down hard upon his cheat, using the force to boost the speed of his attack.

The obsidian knight blocked the powerful encounter of his adversary, his two blades connecting with the scythe. Morpheus used his right blade to press against the man's beam, and the razor sheer edge of his left blade met with the frigid cheek of Wraith has he propelled the blade upwards. Morpheus's icy foe trembled back after recieving the slash delivered, only to stumble and fall backwards. The ebony warrior stored away his twin blades in their sheaths on his cloaked utility belt. He then removed his Vibro-Sword from it's container upon his back, bringing the dormant weapon to life. With the unadorned flip of a switch, a crimson field of electricity hovered around the black blade. He then ran the weapon across the icy form on his leg, melting the cold substance into a diminutive puddle of water. Morpheus leaped back upon his feet, standing poised for assullt against Wraith. Standing next to the brisk figure, the obsidian knight delivered a swift kick to the ribcage of Frostmourne. The wintry figure then arose from the ground, buried in large amounts of pain.

Falling backward a couple of steps after the hit, absorbing the powerful kick from Wraith he looks up and sees him standing there. Raiden then reaches to his side and pulls out one of his 5 inch darts. Grasping it in his hand he comes from behind him and locks his arm around Wraiths neck. He can feel the ice from the man as he stabs him in his side releasing a toxin through his veins rendering his muscles numb and incapable of movement for a period of time. Raiden pulls out the dart and puts it back under his coat. Raiden then lets him fall to the ground and hold his hand over Wraiths left side and releases a EMP bruising all of his left ribs. He the stands back up and turned to face any other foe that might come. Raidens breath was deep and long as his adrenaline pumps in his body. He feels complete when in the heat of battle.

Wraith managed to barely parry Morpheus's attack, but felt the clear indisputable pain from the darts in his side. He fell to the ground, then felt a powerful blast that nearly paralyzed his right side. He made a stupid mistake by jumping into the middle of these two. Wraith focused on the poison inside of him. He could slowly feel himself slowly loosing to the poison. Using all the icy strength in his body, Wraith numbed out the poison. Lowering his body temperature even more, he could hardly feel it now. Wraith stood up and removed an ice dagger from underneath his belt and threw it at Raiden. It pierced straight through his foot and solidly planted itself into the concrete. Now that he was pinned, Wraith propelled himself into the air by kicking off Raidens shoulder, and came down hard with the butt of his scythe across his opponents face. Wraith landed and twirled his scythe about his side, slowly moving back towards the rest of the group. His main concern was Morpheus. Wraith moved away from Raiden and went back to the large group of Sith, where he hoped to find some sort of shelter.

His new friend, Raiden, had run into the fray right away. It seemed that maybe he had companions here. As for Terran, he only wished to help. He knew that it was no good to simply enter the fray blindly--he had no idea who his opponents were. He was a Jedi--ambassador of peace--and he wished only to see this situation dissapate. Of course, in some instance, that meant that evil be dispersed or destroyed. He didn't know which one would happen here today.

He surveyed the scene. A couple of dark side presences. One dimly lit lightside presence--one man dressed very similar to himself. Odd...very very odd...Three more warriors. They weren't dark, but they weren't Jedi.

One darksider exhibited an immensely powerful aura. He thought that it would be a mistake to simply rush into combat with this one. He was tall, a dark lord perhaps. He had seen him somewhere...his eyes...

As the battle continued, Terran approached it calmly. He drew his saber hilt, holding it down to his side. Throwing aside his cloak, he let the garment fall to the ground. He stepped into the battle circle, looking fro someone to help. Igniting his saber, he prepared to be engaged.

in the middle of the battle a ear shadering warcry came from above. A brown figure came falling to the ground with a loud thud. Everyone stoped and looked for a moment at what just arrived. Slowly standing to his feet the 8 foot wookie started runing into battle. He grabed Zasz with one hand and picked him up thowing him across the ally into the street about 15 feet away. "GGGGRAAAAAAATHTHTHTHT" I am here brothers let me at them.

Warriors flooded in as the battle raged. The tables were turned on the Sith--big time. Jeran knew this situation too well, though. Maybe the Sith would have something up their sleeve. He had seen Vega do some crazy stuff before. He was skeptical.

Looking at the new one--the light sider--that joined the battle gave him a shock. He resembled his own clothing pretty strongly. Nice fashion statement, bub he thought as he watched the man. He then remembered the battlefield. He would help to fight with his knew...friends. He had someone to help him. Hard to get used to that, he thought.

After the wookie entered, he figured that some of the Sith would retreat. It didn't really matter, of course. He had decidded that the hunt of Zasz was no longer important. Wraith was here. His...rival, if that was the word. He wanted the ice cube's blood to be spilled.

"Hey Wraith! Why don't you pick on someone yer own size!" He taunted the warrior, climbing up an old vent to the top of a building. If the Sith was up for it, he knew he would accept the challenge.

"Ah yes, perfect seclusion for the perfect death." Wraith disengaged from the battle and proceeded up the vent towards where Jeran was. This was it. This would be the moment when Jeran would meet his fate. No more interferences from the warriors below. The battle was to big for him now. All he wanted was to see pain inflicted upon Jeran. A chilling wind blew as the two faced eachother below the night sky. Wraith's cape fluttered as he gripped his scythe.

The Tusken warrior walked out onto the ongoing conflict, curious to see what was taking place. He investigated all who were engaging in the combat, searching for any indication of any darksiders. With his weapon tightly held and his concentration focused, he made his way towards the current activity of his dark targets.

Jeran stared Wraith in the face with deadly eyes. This night, something would be accomplished. He had waited for it for a long time.

"Lemme tell you somethin, freezer-boy." He threw down his cloak and other baggage. "I'm gonna send you back to the hell you came from." He rolled his saber in his hand, poising for an attack. Their time spent together alive had been a rough, painful one. It seemed that they could not escape each other. They fought at every turn. It was gonna have to end soon--one was gonna have to die.

Jeran rathered it be Wraith.

As the 'Nemesis' drove his blades towards Vega, the Dark Lord sprung upwards with a Force jump. He landed on the rung of a ladder that ran up the side of one of the buildings that created the alleyway. Looking down from his vantage point, he grinned. They all looked small, little pawns playing with each other.

After a few seconds had passed, he leapt down, landing a kick against the back of Nemesis' back. The man tumbled forward, and as he did so Vega wretched his hand out and drew Jeran inward, crashing the two men into each other as he gave a loud laugh.

The knee strike from Wraith hit him hard. He doubled over in pain. Just as it had come, more attacks followed. Jeran could see Wraith's foot coming down in a crescent motion. He--in that split second moment of your brain when you can see every thing clearly--attempted to roll to his left. He threw his weight--

An unseen force grabbed him, pulling him off the ledge as he slammed against Nemesis with crushing speed. The two bodies collided while in motion, and with brute force bone and flesh mashed against one and other. Jeran fell to the ground.

It's gonna take a week to work that one out, he thought, clutching his ribs. They hurt--he must've cracked or broken them. No worry--he would be healed soon enough. He had a pretty good idea who did it.

"C'mon, Vega," he said, grunting from the pain. "Can't you just let the kids play?" He wanted to get back to his battle with Wraith. Maybe he didn't get much of a say in the matter.

Nemesis rose from the ally floor, sending a fiery glare toward the arrogant Vega. The dark sider, still blinded by his own power, did not realize the frailty of his own life.

"Nice trick." blatantly mocking his foe. "I was informed premonition is among the many Dark Jedi talents."

Faint footsteps marked the assassin's charge for the dumpster, serving as Vega's perch. At the last possible moment, he cut right, his momentum carried the hunter several feet up the adjacent wall prior to gravity taking effect once more. Spiking at the desired height, Nemesis propelled from the wall contorting his frame as he spiraled over the Dark Lord. The Ranger's right hand swept across Vega's hair, delivering the sting of a paint brush slap to the base of his skull.

Upon returning to the cool city surface, the obsidian warrior taunted Van Derveld, "Did you see that one coming?" Twin blades leveled with the dark one's position, ready for the next offensive.

OOC - You know, I did ask very nicely for you guys to wait for me. I even took the time to post a note here in the thread where you could see it and also at 4 different forums across the boards were I was sure people would get my message that I wouldn't be around for 2 DAYS. Sunday & Monday. I was really hoping that you peeps would wait for me, but I guess I simply expected too much. So now since you all decided to move on ahead without me, I'm left with little choice now except to exit this thread. If you had given me the courtesy to wait for me, things would be different, but you didn't. You just surged on ahead without me. I wanted to believe that I'd come back this morning and be able to RP with you. I guess I was wrong.

With quick thinking he cauterize his injury with his Vibro-Sword to seal it. As the bleeding stops and the pain subsides he stands to his feet.
