In the newer ones is the plastic really "unbreakable" or is that compared to a 4-12 years olds strength?

Are you talking about the role play light up ones that can extend to about 4-5 ft? Those are pretty durable. My son and I were hacking away at each other with my POTF2 Vader and Luke ROTJ sabers the other day. They're around what, 3-5 years old and they've held up great. Now the sabers for the action figures will snap in a heartbeat. I had one break off at the hilt the other day when it fell off a shelf.

I hate it when the toys I own to collect break. It makes me sooooo mad. I turn green, triple in size, tear out of my clothes, overturn a few cars, then return to normal and wonder what the hell happened.
