A brand new telescope!
Last week while my Dad was visiting he showed an interest in computers and particularly ebay. I demonstrated how ebay works by bidding on something I have an interest in, telescopes. I have had 2 used ones and they were okay, but always wanted a new one. Anyhow, to make a long story short, I bid on a brand new Tasco electronically controlled telescope still in the box and valued at $500. I had the winning bid @ $107.50! It arrived today! It is one of those that you simply imput the stars coordinates and it automatically finds it. Now I busy surfing the net looking for places to get the coordinates on a regular basis. Any suggestions?
Oh, and on a different note, Shawn's granddad was so interested in computers that he said he is planning on buying one when I next visit and can help him shop for one. Okay, kiddos, you thought it was funny that Shawn's mama visits the SW forum?, wait till Grandpa shows up! :rollin o_O

if anybody is into creative thinking and freewill, it is my Dad. He is just a hippie in a very old body. He is 79, has two girlfriends, and thinks viagra is the best invention of all time! I am pretty proud of the old man. He embraces new technology, doesn't run from it like some old-timers.:)

And if I was ever going to flee the good, ol' USA, I think the last place I would head would be Cuba! Australia would be my first choice I think.

With no offense to all my Aussie friends, Australia would be my second choice. I would head to the home of my ancestors...Great Britain. :)

Of course! It's perfectly logical! Why settle for an island with Comies when you can settle for an island with Convicts!

*Ducks as a frying pan comes flying at her head from Australia's general direction.*

WHAAAAAAT?!

Speaking of Cuba, I have an odd story. The guy that owns Subway in my town (And used to live up the road from me) was a good friend of Castro's. In fact, Castro was the best man in his wedding. But when he rose to power, my neighbor must have had reason to flee. So Castro, if you're out there, PM me and I can get you the address.. for a price! Muwhahahahahah!

Well that makes sense. What do they have in the way of computers in Cuba, 10 Soviet Apple II's with cyrillic keyboards?

Fett, he's only 6, doesn't know how to write yet either, but he's learning. Unfortunately, computer games and nintendo and x-box has rotted his brain out already. He's an automaton for the games now...lost to humankind forEVER. :cry :lol
