If you put a PS2 disc (which are DVD-ROMs) into a DVD player or a DVD-ROM on your comp, what would happen? would you be able to watch all the cutscene stuff?

Depends on the game.

Some games will let you view the videos straight off, some need a program to watch them, and others just won't let you.
