[Saarrreeaa Meorrrei]

Saarrreeaa stumbled into the bar and grill, well after dark. She'd just come from the Arcan Penitentiary, and her eyes were swollen from crying.

She shoved past the NRSF guard, who didn't stop her, and walked through the bar, to the stairs, and up to her room. She threw herself over the bed.

The bed. Where she'd spent so many nights with Sanis. Tears flowed again, and she felt to weak to be angry with him. Not right now. For now...it felt good to cry.

[Zeke]

Zeke was scuttling around on all fours again. Ever since the arrival of the Mutant Cockroach, he was on a "mutant cockroach kick" as some had put it, and was now trying to figure out how it must be to be a mutant cockroach by acting like one. He turned to try and slide under a door and bumped his head on it.

"OW!"

He rubbed his head and heard crying from inside. He sat and listened, rubbing his head and wondering if he dared to knock.

[Cirrsseeto Quez]

Passing overhead, Cirr looked down at the crawling kid, hefting him up in the air by the back of the neck, until he was eye-level. The sound of Saa's crying in the adjacent room had attracted his ire, and Cirr's jaw clenched as he scrutinized the hyuu-mann interloper

[Zeke]

"M'name's Zeke! I bet you're a Cizerack! I was walkin' around and heard someone cryin' in there. I didn't cause it, but I was thinkin of going to see what was wrong, but figured it might not be any of my business, so..."

The Cizerack's jaw clenched tighter.

"...right...Anways, you got any clue what's the matter? maybe we should knock."

[Cirrsseeto Quez]

Cirr didn't speak, but tightened his grip on the kid, narrowing his ice-blue eyes

[Zeke]

"Ow."

Zeke made it more of a comment or a statement rather than a cry of pain.

"I'll knock. Put me down or hold me by the shirt, this is crampin'my neck."

[Cirrsseeto Quez]

Cirr did neither, but opened the door with his free hand. Once done, he tossed Zeke across the room, causing him to land in a heap. With the kid disoriented, Cirr pounced, clearing the distance inbetween in a single leap, and landing astride the fallen Zeke. He placed a big hand over his throat, as his claws began to slide out of their sheaths in his fingertips. He growled at Zeke, turning his eyes up to Saa on the bed. If this hyuu-mann was the cause for her present state, he would pay the ultimate price. If he wasn't, then he would be a suitable gift to his mistress, and help assuage her pain.

[Zeke]

Zeke saw the claws and guessed what the big guy was thinking.

"I didn't cause this, and I won't be mounted on anyone's wall."

He had his lightsaber on hand, so he would have no trouble defending himself from this guy.

"Look, who did or did not do this is not the point. The point is this: she's over there crying and all YOU can think about is killing me. Get your priorities straight, pal. First, we make her feel better. THEN we can throw down. Deal?"

He extended his hand to shake.

[Saarrreeaa Meorrrei]

Saarrreeaa leapt up from the bed, grabbed the hyuu-mann male's shoulders and thrust him out of the room. Shutting and locking the door behind him, she threw herself at Cirr, grabbing and holding onto his strong shoulders, and crying.

[Cirrsseeto Quez]

Cirr wrapped his petite mistress up in his massive arms, holding her close to him as she cried. He wasn't a creature of many words, but there was a sympathetic bond between him and his mate. He didn't know what the problem was, and he didn't ask. It was problem enough that she cried. The sight of that alone was enough to cause a few tears to drip from the large Cizerack's pale blue eyes, and into Saa's platinum hair. For what seemed an eternity, he sat with her pressed against him, rocking her gently back and forth. He wasn't a smart man...it was likely all he could do for her.

She quieted down a little, and snuffled against his shoulder. Then she started crying again. "Cjirrr....jyou'll alwajysss be herrre, won't jyou?" She clung to him.

[Cirrsseeto Quez]

jYesss. jI wjill. jI prrromjissse.

Cirr watched with a feeling of helplessness as Saa cried. What was making her so upset??!! Cirr thought about it. She'd seen Saa cry sometimes. There were only a few things that made her cry.

jIt'sss Sssanjisss?

At his name, Saa cried harder. "He...he...he..." She hiccuped and sniffed, swallowing her sobs. "He had anotherrr female....jI djidn't thjink that...that..." She broke down into tears again.

[Cirrsseeto Quez]

A growl grew in the depths of Cirr's chest, like rolling thunder. He gently scooped Saa up, and twice as gently, laid her back on her bed. His ice blue eyes were narrowed in simmering anger, and he held up a finger to her, as if to say "wait here".

With that, he bolted out of the room, racing towards the place where Sanis was now being kept.

Saa didn't pay attention to where Cirr was going, but curled herself around the pillows at the head of the bed. Within a few minutes, she'd sobbed herself to sleep.

[Daanarri Raurrssaatta]

Daani crawled out of the closet, into which she'd chased a sajoi from an earlier snack, and crept towards Saarrreeaa on the bed. Her "sister-in-law" was sleeping, and Daani cocked her head to study her.

She had sounded very upset. Daani's lips trembled, and she suddenly felt afraid. What had upset Saa so much? The little cubling crawled up onto the bed and snuggled against Saa.

Saa stirred in her slumber, and put her arms around the cub, holding her close. Daani squirmed a little, then settled down and whimpered. "Whatsss wrrrong, Sssaa?"

"Nothjing jyou need to worrrrrrjy about, Daanji." Saa sniffed, and blew a raspberry on the girl's neck.

Daani giggled, then sombered up. "jI'm sssorrrrrrjy about the sssajoji."

Saa thought about that. "jIt jisssn't jyou, Daanji. jI'm not upssset at jyou."

"Oh. Well, neverrr mjind about the sajoji then." Daani snuggled contentedly into Saa's arms, and they both fell asleep.

[Zeke]

Zeke, finding himself ejected, makes a mental note that Cizeracks are some messed up people and should be avoided. Spotting his mutant cockroach, and wondering whatever happened to trying to do something nice,(and wondering OOC if this thing was closed) he scuttles away after it.

[Daanarri Raurrssaatta]

Daani heard a knock at the door, and woke up. Saa's arm was draped over her, but as she sat up, Saa stirred, and groaned.

"Can jyou anssswerrr that, Daanji?" Saa flopped over and covered her head with her pillow.

Daani nodded, and scrambled off the edge of the bed. She tripped, and fell to the floor, then got back to her feet and pulled the door open.

Wide eyed, Daani looked up the length of a uniform. "Is Sayreeyah Meo-rye in?" The forrrda couldn't talk right. It was bizarre.

Daani nodded, and then shouted over her shoulder, "Saa! Forrr jyou!!" Behind the uniformed forrrda there was another hyuu-man crawling around on the floor. She frowned a little, wondering what was going on.

[Saarrreeaa Meorrrei]

Saarrreeaa growled, and lurched up from the bed. Looking at the chrono, it appeared she'd been asleep for about three hours.

Running her fingers through her wild platinum hair, the feline female straightened her blouse and approached the door. "Can jI help jyou?" Her eyes were no longer swollen from crying, but her voice was scratchy still.

"Ms. Meo-rye?" The human male was wearing the uniform of the Arcan Police.

"Meorrrei...yesss thatsss me." Saa fought the urge to panic. "What jisss gojing on? jIsss jit Sssanjisss?"

"Yes..and no. You are the companion of the Cizerack male, Ceerseetoo Raoorsattaa, are you not?"

"jYesss...." She had a feeling she knew where this was going. "What djid he do?"

"Did you know he was going to do anything, Miss?" The policeman's eyes hardened.

"Well, no. jI mean, he'sss neverrr ljiked Sssanjisss...but...djid he hurrrt hjim? jI...djidn't thjink that he...well..." Saa fumbled, her feelings threatening to overpower her again. Was it relief that Cirr had done something to Sanis, fear for Cirr, or just leftover heartache?

"Well your Ceerseetoo roughed up a Mr. Prent pretty badly. When we got there, it was just in time." The uniform was still eyeing her suspiciously.

Saa offered up a wan smile. "jI guesss thatsss what jyou get when jyou ssscrrrew arrround on anotherrr male'ssss female."

He grunted non-committedly. "Well, you'll have to come in for some questions, Miss Meo..meorrie."

Saa's ears laid back. What? "Arrre jyou ssserjiousss?"

"We're very serious about crime around here, miss. Had a real problem with it, before the NRSF showed up. Now crime's on the rise again, and the govenor is making a statement by cracking down hard. Hate crimes, crimes of passion, all sorts of xenophobia...this could fall under any of the above. So the perp and all possible accomplices and witnessess are going to be questioned." He motioned, and another policeman stepped up from behind him. "Lets not make this more difficult than it has to be, ma'am."

Saa gaped in amazement, and completely forgot about Daani as she was strongly escorted out of her room, down the stairs, through the bar and grill, and then out to the squad car. Someone guided her head as she sat inside, and then the two police got in, and the wheeled vehicle took off down the street.

[Sasseeri Reeouurra]

"Something just came in on the holonet..." The secretary scurried out of the office as soon as she'd handed off the flimsy to the being at the desk. Sasseeri's eyes narrowed as she read the small paragraph of print in Basic.

Arcan IV, prisoner Sanis Prent brutally beaten by Cirrsseeto Raurrssatta, a citizen of the Cizerack Pride. Mr. Raurrssatta and his mate, a Ms. Saarrreeaa Meorrrei have been detained for questioning in regards to the charges of assault, attempted murder, and conspiracy to murder.

Now this was rich. Sasseeri picked up the comm, and made a call.

[Zeke]

Zeke was in his room in the Living Quarters, watching the holonet. Apparently, the 2 Cizeracks that had given him trouble earlier were being "detained for questioning". Zeke laughed quietly, his voice carrying a tone of happy sarcasm.

"Nice one, you overgrown housecat. Go get the girl in trouble, why don't ya?"

Zeke rolled his eyes with a smile and pocketed his 2 sabers.

"I can at least go bail her out. After all, she...sorta...saved me from dude earlier, sooo..."

Zeke rolled off the bed where he'd been sitting and strode out the door, heading for the room of Saa. He'd find a clue there as to what had happened, he was sure.

[Daanarri Raurrssaatta]

Daani stood in the doorway, befuddled. What was going on? She made to run after Saarrreeaa, but stopped, and then sat down in the doorway.

They'd left her all alone. Where was Taataani? Where was Cirrsseetto? The eight year old frowned, and waited for someone to remember her and come to get her.

[Zeke]

Zeke walked up. No cops, just a girl.

"Hey, where's that big oaf that jumped me and that girl that was crying? I saw on the holonet that they're in some trouble. You ok?"

[Daanarri Raurrssaatta]

Her eyes widened. "Trrrouble?"

Daani hopped to her feet, and looked up at the male forrrda. "jI'm okajy...but wherrre djid thejy take Sssaa?" Her lower lip trembled.

[Zeke]

"I thought you'd know where she is."

Zeke took a knee and placed his hands on the girl's shoulders.

"Hey, don't worry. I'm gonna go rescue Saa, okay?"

He smiled confidently.

[Taataani Meorrrei]

Daanarrrrrrji!

Taa ran into the room, scooping the cubling up in her arms.

What happened herrre!!!

[Daanarri Raurrssaatta]

Confused, Daani, squirmed out of her aunt's arms. "Gojing to get Sssaa? Arrre jyou a manssserrrvant of herrrsss?" Then she remembered Taataani, and faced her.

"The poljice came and took herrr awajy!" She sniffled, "Thejy forrrgot about me."

[Zeke]

"...Manservant?..." Zeke repeated. "I'm no catgirl's slave. I'm doing this out of the goodness of my heart, because its a Good Thing To Do, not because I'm obligated."

He looked over at Taa.

"Yeah, earlier Saa was crying over something. I tried to help her out, but got jumped by this giant idiot and was thrown out by Saa. Later, the cops came and carried her off for something said idiot did."

[Daanarri Raurrssaatta]

Daani looked from Zeke, to Taa...to Zeke ...to Taa....

"Well!?" She squeaked, and hopped around a little. "What jisss gojing to happen!?"

[Zeke]

"We'll figure out where they dragged Saa off too and go get her. But with my luck, she'll be released and walkin' back here by the time we figure it out. Plus, I think I owe dude a grudge match. Can't remember though."
