Vector Prime is a well written book in the wrong universe. It would be a fine Star Trek novel. And the Vong are well thought out, but they are in the wrong damn place! Star Trek should have them.

That's the NJO's real problem, or the few books I have dared to read. Not too bad, just totally out of place, especially the Vong.
