The not-so-distant future.

A hooded man’s big strides could be heard echoing down the long narrow hallway. It was dimly lit, except for several torches that branched out evenly among the hallway’s walls. He reached the wooden door as it opened with a rather large creak. As the door shut behind him, a message could be read, engraved into the surface of the door’s features. Herein lies the knowledge of transgressions passed.

Sifting through the large darkened library, he came upon a book covered in dust. Sliding it out of its coveted resting-place, he sat it on the table. He placed a candle beside the book, illuminating the room. The book’s bland cover had not been seen in centuries, for it recorded the events in history of a long forgotten time period. Wiping the dust revealed to him what he had came to find…. the events of The Tribulation Wars.

He ran his finger over the index. The Greater Jedi Order. His finger stopped. Filing through the pages he came to a halt. No pictures or diagrams, just countless words that lined the page. The Tribulation Wars had taken place approximately 700 years ago. The Greater Jedi Order, the Sith, the Empire, all wiped out in a galaxy where the Force no longer existed. The hooded man began to read about this forgotten order of Jedi.

Jedi? The man did not recognize the name.

Jedi Master Yoghurt ......deceased.

Jedi Master Marcus Q’Dunn ......deceased.

Jedi Master Morgan Evanar ......deceased.

The list went on, countless “Jedi”, all that lived such a long time ago.

He went on to read of an Order, who protected the galaxy from evil, who fought for good and the innocent. All who had a special gift.

The Force.

He read about the Order’s rise. The Order’s fall. All wiped out during the Tribulation Wars, the Jedi have not resurfaced for nearly 700 years. His continued reading lead him along the mysteries of the Sith, and they’re greedy ways that eventually, around 200 years after The Wars, destroyed their existence in the galaxy forever.

Now society was simple. As if someone rewound the clock decades in the past. Planets were self-efficient, bartering became the way of life in society, and starships became obsolete, for there were no reasons to travel into space.

Countless years after Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, The Greater Jedi Order, the Sith, the Empire…. life was simple. Society had changed.

The man continued to read late into the night, pulling every ounce of light he could out of the dying candle.
