OOC: Everything that is going to happen has been planned and the characters agree to it. So, don't freak when things happen :) thanks

Soth Nuevole entered the bar under disguise, cloaked in the force as he had good reason to be. However he was not here for the drink nor was he here for the prospect of killing a local as he was accustom to doing in theses part's...He was here to meet up with someone...His older brother to be exact, Thayin Nuevole. Unbeknownst to the Death Knight, this evening was sure to be more then eventful. Soon enough Soth would find himself caught up in a cross fire of sort's...And as the old saying goes, "What goes around comes around" would prove this night to come back to tap him on the shoulder. Reminding him of a woman scorned, and a past he thought he had all but left behind...

"Some wine my good sir..." Soth motioned to the bar keep as he glanced back to see if Thayin had arrived yet. And as Soth scanned the room his eye's fell on a familiar face he had not seen in quite some time...It was Miranda! His former lover. Soth paid the man then took his glass and reluctantly headed for her table...

The Jedi Bar on Arcan had become a haunt of hers of sorts. The meeting with Mortaniuss had become a welcome pleasure and a break from her rather drool routine. Because of that, Miranda had taken a liking to the bar. Just to sit and watch the patrons live out their short lives, wondering if her fellow Vampyre would show again ... Ever again.

Of course, things that were never again seemed to be coming back around full circle.

Miranda let one of her delicate eyebrows rise upwards as an acknowledgement in seeing Soth approaching her table but her face remained stoic.

Her arms crossed over her chest and Miranda's already crossed leg began to rock back and forth, seemingly not happy to see her old lover.

Soth eye's steadied on the red head as he moved closer to her. She was as lovely as the last time he had laid eye's on her. However, the look that Miranda gave him as he approached her sent shiver up and down his spine. Miranda was more then agitated, she had death written in her emerald green eye's! Soth knew all to well what the woman could do when she was upset...Soth would have to be very mindful of his word's with her...So he thought.

Soth motioned to a chair across from where Miranda was seated. Setting the wine glass down on the table Soth spoke first.

"May I?...Soth hesitated awaiting an answer from Miranda that never came.

"I've been a bad Vampyre haven't I?" Soth reached out to take her hand in his...

If looks could kill indeed. Her emerald eyes grew sharp with hate as Soth's hand came near. The beginnings of her fangs started to protrude, parting her lips ever so slightly.

Miranda spoke quietly, through her teeth, her words just as sharp as the anger that caused her heart to pound furiously.

"Touch me and loose that hand."

Soth's pale hand paused, then slowly retracted back from where it came. She was dead serious, and keeping his hand intact was a good thing. Soth could feel the hate swelling in Miranda's heart. Soth knew he had betrayed her love by leaving her there alone at the Coven without a word at his sudden departure...She deserved better then that...

"Miranda, Forgive me for my action's...I never meant to hurt you in such a way. But I had to leave, what could I ever tell you that would ever make up for my mistake's m'lady." Soth's word's were sincere and heart felt as he spoke softly to her. Miranda's emerald eye's remained deviated from the Death Knight, her anger still kindled to a burning point.

"Forgive .... you?"

Her words were like jagged daggers, coated in ice.

"You left me and said nothing. You didn't even ask me to come with you. You assumed I would just ... follow you straight upon your heels. Perhaps like a little dog?"

Miranda stood up and Soth watched her nostrils flare.

"Now, you want to know how you can make it up to me?"

The Assassins's delicious grin looked down at the Death Knight. He had seen this look quite a number of times.

"You can stay far away from me so I can never look upon your deceiving and lying face AGAIN!!!!"

The red head's anger ended with her slapping the drink across the table towards Soth. Red wine drenched her former lover all across his chest and face. It dripped off his nose and chin, matting his perfect black raven hair against his skin.

She would have noticed those details but Miranda was too focus on heading for the door.

Soth was more then humiliated...Even the patron's stares in his direction drove that point home. The red wine was a great year, however it was unbecoming on the devenair Vampyre as he shook his hand's at his side's, but to no avail. A bitter dose of his own medicine he now found hard to swallow.

"Miranda...!" Soth shouted as she stormed off in a hurry. But her shapely form quickly disappeared in the sea of people, then was gone from his sight.

Miranda was right, his thoughtless action's deserved far more then what she had dealt him. But that too was also about to change...Soth's brother Thayin was now just walking through the door as Miranda was exiting the tavern.

"Who in the hell does he think he is?!"

Miranda absently mumbled to herself as she lost herself in the crowd of people that were hanging about by the bar counter. They were swarming the barkeep lies flies wanting their precious alcohol.

Soth's pitiful plea of yelling her name was lost upon her ears. Far as she was concerned, the Death Knight was indeed dead to her.

She felt her body tingling with pent up rage. The night was ruined and it was time for her to find someone to improve her mood.

Perhaps a simple smuggler that Miranda could escort back to her ship....

Little did the Assassin know that a face not familiar to her but indeed familiar to Soth, had spotted their fight. The night wasn't quite over ....

Thayin Nuevole

Thayin pulled off his cloak as he entered the bar. He didn't have much use for being here other then it being a stopping point to meet up with his little brother Soth. Pass off a few good's, then he'd be on his way...But the red head that was walking straight towards him might change his so called plan's if everything worked out right...

Thayin slung his black cloak over the back of a near by chair as the woman with the fire red hair approached him. She reminded him of his last encounter with a red head at the TSE...But it turned out she had extra luggage that Thayin could do without...His taste for red head's kept coming his way and he wasn't about to let this one pass him by. She was a hot ticket to say the least and Thayin could see it in her walk, in her green eye's that flashed with a demeanor of untamed danger.

Thayin reached out and took the red head gently by the hand then let it slip around her waist as he pulled her close...

"Why are you leaving so soon?..." Thayin whispered in low tones, trying not to draw any unwanted attention to the two.

"The most beautiful thing I've seen in a long while and now your leaving?" Thayin paused momentarily.

"Grace me with your presence's...Let me offer you a drink." Thayin word's were smooth but to the point. Miranda could feel his strong build as he pulled her closer then let off a bit as he motioned to a near by table.

Miranda Dunleavy

In her rage, someone was able to step in front of her, slip their hand in hers and then Miranda found it resting upon her waist! Stupid Soth had let her guard down!

The fool didn't even notice Miranda brandishing her teeth in disgust as she twisted his hand off her hip.

"What in the hell are you doing?!"

Not long after Miranda uttered the her last word's to Thayin, Soth move up from behind the two and asked the same. His anger was evident as he placed a hand on Thayin's shoulder and pushed him back, stepping in front of Miranda as he did so...

"Yes,...What are you doing Thayin?...My brother! Soth's word's were through clenched teeth as he eye'd Thayin, the smell of wine still strong on his garments.

Thayin slowly looked down to where Soth had his hand resting on his chest. His eye's then slowly trailed back to Soth's own.

"Care to take your hand off me little brother?" Thayin's word's carried a firm tone that Soth knew all to well. Then a puzzled look crossed Thayin's face as he looked over to the red head and then back to Soth...The tale of the red wine on Soth told him the story.

"Do you two know each other?" Thayin cocked his head a bit as he awaited a reply from either of the two.

Miranda Dunleavy
Jul 22nd, 2002, 08:25:23 PM
Miranda rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.

"Soth. I told you to leave me ...."

She paused. Soth had a brother?

As of right this moment, tonight was now a good evening and she slinked her way around Soth and grabbed Soth's shoulder.

"You should listen to your big brother or do you like having people threaten to remove your hand on a regular basis?"

She shoved his arm down and moved closer to Thayin. Miranda purposely pushed her body against his and slid a hand slowly up his back to then rest upon his shoulder.

"My apologies, Thayin. I had no idea that you were Soth's brother."

Her emerald eyes swallow up Thayin's form intensely this time. Considering how enraged she was before, Miranda hadn't taken the time to care what he looked like. Thayin was a piece of meat in her way. Now ... His rugged looks, the black hair that was similar to Soth's ... those dark eyes ... And the fact alone that he was Soth's brother made him desirable....

She dropped her voice low and leaned upwards to whisper in his ear.

"My apologies."

Soth saw Miranda smile devilishly at him while his former lover placed her head upon his brother's shoulder. Red locks spilled all over and brought back memories of love and passion to the Death Knight. Those feelings that he walked out on!

"And my apologies in correcting you. Soth and I knew each other."

Thayin Nuevole
Jul 22nd, 2002, 09:19:37 PM
Thayin could only guess at what the two were at one time, however by the look on Soth's face Thayin knew there was more to the two then met the eye. A slightly noticeable smile slipped across Thayin's face as Miranda walked up to him in a seductive manner, pressing her body next to his as her hands ran up and down his back. He glanced back over to his brother, Soth was now seething with jealousy, and Miranda's cutting word's just made it worse.

"Apologies accepted malady..." Thayin smiled down at Miranda as he let both his hands slip low on her waist to the small of her back. But the familiar word "Malady" that Soth used when addressing the ladies was the straw that broke the Bantha's back! Thayin could feel the hate welling up in his younger brother...But Soth knew that blood was thicker then water...His honor as a former Jedi Knight demanded that of him still, even after all his year's prior to his service as one...Thayin had Soth in check...And they both knew it! It was pay back time...And Soth was finding that out the hard way. Year's back Soth had done the same to Thayin and now it had all come back full circle...

"Listen Soth, I'm going to buy her drink...I'd ask you to join us, but ahh...Three's a crowd. No offense of course. I'll catch up with you later...Now where were we...Ah yes, that drink. care to join me?" Thayin leaned in as if he was smelling Miranda's fire red hair, his eye's still on his little brother.

Thayin was no fool, he knew what was going on...But he also knew, that what goes around,...Come's around!

Lord Soth
Jul 22nd, 2002, 10:01:49 PM
The Death Knight eye's narrowed to a deadly gaze as he crossed his arm's when the two embraced...His ivory fang's protruded slightly as he looked on without a word...Thayin was mocking him, Miranda as well had also hit her target true. The wicked game they were both playing left the Death Knight wanting with word's...He was damned either way if he said anything or reacted to the cunning that stabbed at his Vampyre heart. Something's were best left alone...

"Yes, Indeed...Three is a crowed. Perhaps Miranda can be on her way now so you and I can resume our business ... My brother!"

Soth word's were firm and pointed. If this was any another man or being, Soth would have already had his beating heart on the end of his Sith sword...

Miranda Dunleavy
Jul 23rd, 2002, 02:54:37 PM
Her eyebrows arched and then slowly contracted as she stepped forward, placing a hand upon Soth's hand that was on the hilt of the sword.

"Fighting over me? How quaint."

With a thin grin, Miranda laced her fingers between Soth's in a gentle gesture, removing the hand from the deadly weapon. She leaned in purposefully, closer the gap between their lips and her smile grew.

"Think about this, lover ... If you wouldn't have left me ..."

Without warning, Miranda pulled back and punched Soth across the face, jerking him backwards. The act almost caused the Death Knight to dislocate his shoulder from the ferocity of the attack. Then came the well sculpted nails that dug into his pale hand.

"... this wouldn't have happened. Thayin wanted to speak to me, Soth. Not you. Begone."

She tossed him aside like a sack of meat.

"Your presence affronts me."

Thayin grimaced at the shot that his little brother Soth took from Miranda like a champ. This little fire ball red head sure packed an awful punch. Thayin stepped in and took Miranda by the hand and pulled her back to himself...Miranda obviously got in the last...Punch line. As Miranda turned to face Thayin she noted something particularly strange in the tall man eye's. Something ancient, something unsettling... Wicked to the core...A power behind the eye's that was now noticeable as she looked deep within as he drew her near. Oddly though, he was not a creature of the night with the dark gift that had a distinctive sent she was accustom too...

"Now, now,...I think he gets your point m'lady." Thayin slipped her a smile as he noted her gaze, a gaze he was well aware of when she searched his endless eye's. Miranda knew of Soth's long linage, however she never knew the Death Knight had an older brother...One that would have to be as old as the Death Knight himself!

"After all, he is my little brother..." Thayin paused and turned his attention to his younger sibling.

"Soth, I'll be with you in the morning...This night is just getting started and I owe this lovely woman a drink of the house's finest. " Thayin shot Soth a half hearted smile, then his eye's trailed back to Miranda's. Soth narrowed his eye's at the two then ran the back of his hand across his mouth that was already healed, then he was gone.

"Now, for that drink ahh...I was so caught up in the moment I forgot to inquire as to what your name was...How rude of me."Thayin paused once more, reaching over to pull a chair for the red head.

It didn't take the power's of the Darkside to tell Soth that the well deserved punch from Miranda was coming his way. Soth's head snapped to one side as the force of her punch connected with his face. The Death Knight slowly turned his head back to face his former lover...Blood trickled down from the corner of his lower lip then dissipated into his Vampyre skin. His fierce blue eye's met up with hers for the very last time. His mind reached out to hers a he steadied his eternal eye's upon hers. The bone chilling cold that Miranda felt at that very moment from Soth was his way of saying he felt the same way as well. Fate had finally taken what the two lover's had between them once...Now it lay at there feet where it was marked as so...Dead and buried.

"As you wish Miranda...As you wish!" Soth word's to her mind were lethal and deadly. He knew at that moment that her love for him had died long ago, died when he left her without a word to as why or to where he had gone to when he left her behind at the Coven citadel. Thayin stepped in-between Miranda and Soth, pulling Miranda back enough to take her in his arm's once more. There was no question that Thayin was indeed a genus when it came to military tactic's, but did he have what it took to confront the power's that once sustained him? A sustaining power that kept him alive all theses many year's at Soth's side. Thayin Nuevole was undoubtedly deadly and powerful in his own right, however so was the red head at his side...And so was the vengeance in the Death Knight's wounded heart.

"Another time my foolish brother...Another time." Soth thought to himself as Thayin spoke, but Thayin word's fell on deaf ear's as Soth continued to eye Miranda.

Soth cold eye's narrowed to a hateful gaze as Miranda's wicked smile severed the tie's once and for all. This night of all night's, proved that the past had finally caught up with him...Caught up in the cross fire of irony and a bitter reunion that finally paid off the red head in complete satisfaction...

Soth turned abruptly, turning away from the two as he made his way out...His rage was to be taken out now on an innocent...One he would find great pleasure in killing with his own bare hand's!

Perhaps centuries from now, or an impossible act from the gods above, would the rift formed between Soth and Miranda ever be repaired.

Now, it was complete disgust and hatred tossed towards one another. Just this time, it cut Soth's heart deeply for he was the cause of this all!

Miranda didn't even acknowledge that Soth had spoken in her mind. All that matter was he was finally leaving her alone to get aquatinted with his brother, Thayin. This would be most interesting in finding out how a brother of Soth's from millennia past was still alive. He was not a child of the night... No ... he was something else and she was determined to find out what...

As well as have her fun with him.

Her arm wove around his and led him to an empty table. She sat down slowly on the chair that Thayin pulled out for her. Miranda leaned forward, cupping her chin with a hand, elbow resting upon the table. Making sure Thayrin understood that her chiseled green eyes were solely focused on him as he too sat down.

"Miranda Dunleavy is my name and you can offer me some red wine. Jedi are always out of the blood wine."

She scoffed.

"For what reason I could never understand."

Miranda dazzled him with her perfect smile that just wanted to swallow him whole.

The Black Rose general Thayin Nuevole could tell with just a single glance the red head had a plan brewing in that little head of hers. He knew her game all to well. He'd see them come and go, it was nothing new to Thayin...As some might say in all the universal languages out there..."Been there done that." But one thing was for certain, Thayin was sure the woman an arm's length away could venture to say the same. Thayin also knew she was a creature of the damned...Her reference to the Blood wine gave her away...And having a brother that shared the same curse made it even more apparent. However, Thayin would play along, after all...What did he really have too loose?

Thayin motioned to one of the many service droids that were scurrying about the pub. After placing an order for the best red wine the house had to offer he turned his full attention back to the bomb shell that was now eyeing him with a seductive stare.

"Miranda Dunleavy..." Thayin repeated her name as he tilted his head to the side a bit. A smile plated on his face as he continued.

"Charming...What a lovely name. So tell me Miranda Dunleavy, how do you know my little brother?" Thayin eye's sparkled a bit as he leaned back in his chair to a more comfortable position. Unlike Soth, Thayin was to the point when it came to get from point "A" to point "B." Soth was more reserved and eccentric whereas Thayin his brother was more direct and concise. Miranda could obviously see the difference between the two sibling right off, like night and day. But there was the mysterious something she couldn't quite put her Vampyre finger on.

"Yes,...I see your point...Jedi's haa...I feel you sister. Never thought I'd be in the middle of them though." Thayin chuckled as he glanced around the bar, resting his arm casually on the back of the booth seat...He knew they were around...He could feel them, even smell the putridness they gave off from a mile away. And somehow they made him feel dirty being around them...Not so much for the sake of there belief's system or lifestyle's, but on the contrary, it was their gullible blindness that led them to what this self righteousness and hypocrisy that made them what they were. Thayin cringed at their hollow existence to uphold a concept he found to be filled with holes. It was their willful choice that sickened him!

Thayin shook his head then focused on Miranda's striking eye's...Both of them knew what the end result of the evening would bring...Their instant smile's at one another confirmed it...

"I have to complement you on your eye's Miranda Dunleavy...Beautiful. I can imagine the places and thing's you've seen with them." Thayin was making subtle reference to Miranda's dark and hidden secret she thought to be concealing from him for the time being.

The R-2 unit rolled up to the side of their table moment's later. Thayin paid the tin bucket, and not to mention a handsome tip to top it off. Now the cat and mouse game was in full swing...But both were veterans at their zenith...The question was now...Who would come out on top?

Miranda Dunleavy

A delicate brow mirrored the half-grin that spread across the readhead's face, partially concealed by the hand that cupped Miranda's chin.

"Do you think me so naive for you to not know my true nature."

She leaned back and retrieved the glass of wine the driod was delivering to the table....As if knowing it was already there. She let Thayin stew upon her words while taking a lengthy sip. It did nothing to quench her thirst but it did provide something to think about in the future after this..... dance of words.

Red wine. Translucent. Thin. Cold. Nothing like the taste of pure warm blood that flowed from a still living body. The intoxication of hearing each beat of the heart pump out the life of her chosen victim, so she could nourish her body with the fluid of life.....

Thayin did not need that apparently. Or, perhaps. Did he?

"You are Soth's brother. Surely something must have kept you alive all these years?"

Curiosity outweighed her revenge for now. Both did know where this night would lead but if Miranda could learn a few things about her boy toy now, all the better to ammo later as this relationship progressed.

The droid set down another glass and the bottle of wine as Miranda waited for Thayin's response, resting the glass of cold wine against her cheek with curious eyes.

Thayin shot Miranda a whimsical smile as he leaned in a bit towards her. He could see that she had a mind for getting her way at thing's...What she wanted and went after...However Thayin by nature shared the same spirit and tenacity as the red head that sat across from him. Both were indeed more then a match for one another as they both would soon find out!

"Ahh yes, Well simply put miss Miranda...You are what you are, as I am what I am." Thayin paused for a moment as his mysterious dark eye's connected with Miranda's own emerald green one's.

"You don't suppose this will create problem's do you my dear. I would hate to think that thing's might become complicated even before they've begun?" Thayin's face became serious as he leaned back. Then unable to contain the smile that edged it's way to the surface he continued.

"Naive?...On the contrary...I see you as a woman with a mind of her own. A woman that take's what she want's and knows before hand that is hers to take. And I must say...I find that quite irresistible." A sheepish smile now etched it's way across Thayin's handsome face as he took in a deep drink of the wine he had just ordered. But Thayin could see clearly the danger in her beautiful eye's that danced and sparkled at him...She was a killer and there was no mistake about that!

"I am alive as any other my dear Miranda...I have to say it was a brother's love for his older brother that kept me alive thus far." Thayin began to roll his eye's somewhat at the thought as he went on to explain to the red head.

"I won't bore you with the subtle detail's about myself. However much like yourself Miranda, if I may be so bold to say,...People are never what they seem to be...Or appear to be...As I am not myself. But enough of that said, I'm sure you catch my meaning...Now,...Perhaps you can give me a grand tour of what's playing in that lovely head of yours." Thayin's dark blue eye's had never left hers...But this time they carried a seductive quality about them as he sipped at his wine...A clever deterrent for the time being.

Thayin had a devious way of dancing around the issue. Practically saying nothing with a string of pretty words. He was quite full of himself, thinking that simple looks and subtle changes in his voice would distract the Vampyre from what was really going on.

Miranda was starting to have second thoughts about this wonderful plan of hers of using Soth's brother to get to the Undead Knight.

"What is going on in my pretty head?"

Thayin saw her nose crinkle upwards as the red head took a purposely slow drink. Her tongue slid across her lips to make sure that all of the wine was not to be wasted.

Only then did she answer.

"How you are going to live without your brother's help."

A fanged smiled greeted him with a mocking laughter in her eyes.

"Soth hates you and he was the one that helped you live all this time. I highly doubt he will continue that aid because he was feeling charitable."

Thayin only smiled at Miranda as she shot him a perturbed look at his comment to her. Indeed, Thayin was full of himself...He always had been, with a superb intellect he prided himself with and a long mysterious past such as he had, he knew and felt as though he could afford to live life to it's fullest, on the edge without consequences or remorse...Saying what was on his mind regardless of what other's thought...Selfishness and conceitedness ran deep in the Nuevole family!

"This is true to a point Miranda my dear...However, my brother lives his life in the manner he deems fit as I do my own...He owes me nothing as I owe him nothing for what he has done for me..."Thayin let his eye's wander about the bar to see if Soth was still around.

"Nor does he sustain me by any power that he may posses...What he has chose to become is of his own concern...I couldn't care less. And if he hate's me...Well, all I can say to that is,...So be it!" Thayin played with his glass as he looked into her questioning eye's...She was sizing him up and they both knew it...Would he ever compare with his younger bother was self evident to Thayin...In Thayin's eye's he was more then Soth could ever be...Soth took the easy way out...Thayin had always been the fighter of the two... Cautiously choosing his battles whereas Soth was reckless in Thayin's pointed opinion. On the contrary, nothing could have been further from the truth, however Thayin thought it to be so...

"If I may be so bold to ask Miranda..." Thayin paused for a brief moment.

"Were you and Soth lover's at one time?" Thayin eye's narrowed a bit as he thumbed his glass then took a drink from it as he awaited her response...

She dodging the issue but Thayin let things be hinted here and there that would be gleamed by more then a causal observation. Their rivalry is only matched by the respect that have for each other. It was so apparent. Both brothers animosity stemmed from that respect which is why each tries to out do each other.

It was so apparent to her and that fascinated Miranda. Perhaps this wasn't such a bad idea after all....

Yet, there was that side of Thayin that annoyed her terribly.

His bluntness. Miranda was a subtle creature if you recalled.

"I think you know the answer to that already, Thayin."

Her eyes darkened with the hatred the older brother saw earlier. The pain of remembering passionate nights past were still reflected from those sad and lonely emerald eyes.

The Assassin felt stupid for being so weak and drowned her sorrows with savoring the flavor of the wine. She would hunt later to extinguish the rest of her misery.

Thayin looked down at the red content's of his goblet and paused in thought at what he had just said to the red head. His crudeness was well noted and thing's were taking a quick left turn and right out the door...He then slowly trailed his dark eye's over to Miranda then without a word he shifted his body over closer to the Miranda.

"Look Miranda, Were getting off to a bad start here...What ever happened between you and Soth is none of my business...Were here now, so let's make the most of it..." Thayin's eye's seemed to grow as soft as his word's. Thayin then reached over to the half full bottle that sat on the table in front of them...

"Here, let me fill your glass Miranda...I never like to see a glass half empty." Thayin smiled as he re-corked the bottle after filling his own.

"A toast...To whatever fate may bring us..." Thayin held out his goblet to Miranda.

Thayin was a puzzlement. As harsh and cold as he external demeanor portrayed, there was a hidden softness that shined within those eyes. It was the first time that Miranda had witness this side of elder brother and perhaps her decision in leaving was hasty ...... or it could have been the fact that Thayin realized he was being rude. Either way, the outcome was quite favorable.

"Good you can see the lighter side of things, Thayin."

She replied, watching the level of the liquid inside the glass rise. Once it was half an inch from the top, Miranda took hold of the glass from its stem and held it up to where her elbow was risen from off the counter.

"To fate, Thayin."

Her eyes grew darker but not from anger as earlier. The jaded eyes held a mystery of intent and of thought to what the future lay for the Assassin. Miranda had been dealing with a shattered heart and was tired of being alone.

Perhaps, just perhaps, all that could change tonight.... If a certain enigma across from her could learn to be less overt...

As the two stranger's talked late into the wee hour's of the morning, it became strangely apparent to Thayin they had more in common then they even knew. As Thayin spoke with Miranda, he became more convinced on how foolish his brother Soth was for letting her go. He could see and sense the underlining passion this red head exuded. A confidence that he found attractive, seductive in an erotic way as he listened to her. It was her nature as a Vampire no less...

"I believe time has slipped us by Miranda..." Thayin paused as he looked around the now nearly empty pub.

"Listen, I've rented a flat over in the East sector not far from here...Would you care to join me for a few drink's there?" Thayin finished in a low smooth voice as he leaned into to her. His dark piercing eye's captured Miranda's own as a questioning look crossed his handsome face.

Thayin was correct as the first indication that sunrise was going to be upon them caused Miranda to turn towards the door. She could smell how the air changed when the cursed star was going to break through the comfort of night.

"Yes, let us go to your flat. And swiftly."

Emerald eyes held no fear in them which was odd. Perhaps the elder brother would learn of why Miranda really had no fear of the final death one day. Today was only in getting to know Thayin in ways that were too ... private ... in public. The thought caused a delicious grin to spread across her face.

"I need to quench my thirst for other things along the way."

A thin red brow arched upwards. She was sure that Thayin was smart enough to know what meant. But then something odd occurred to her, which turned into delcious delight!

Miranda leaned forward, exposing ample skin down her collarbone and below, and eyed the uncovered flesh of her escort's own neck.

"Unless you'd like to give it a go."

She bit a her lower lip and slowly released it purposefully.

"I promise to be gentle."

Thayin's dark eye's traveled with Miranda's to the door way...He knew what the new dawn initialed,...To her kind. He had a pretty good idea all along that she was a Creature of the Night...However, the subtle thought escaped him hour's ago...

Thayin arched his eye brow at the invitation to feed on the way to his flat, something he found to be interesting,...Intriguing. He always wondered what it was like for his younger sibling to feed...What it was to kill indiscriminately as his brother called it...

As Miranda leaned into him, Thayin's eye's wandered over her voluptuous form, the subtle curve's that seemed to stay his dark eye's momentarily. Her emerad eye's sparkeled as her suductive word's spilled from her ruby lip's...

"Why,...yes m'lady..."Thayin's word's were low and erotic as he leaned in to kiss the softness of her neck.

"I have always found myself to be one to indulge in the finer thing's in life..." Thayin paused as the heat of his breath overwhelmed her senses, moving to the small of her neck as he continued.

"Never ventured, never gained,...So they say." Thayin finished, leaning back enough to look into her eye's once more.

"Let us waste no more time with idle talk Miranda... Besides, ...There are thing's I wish to show you...M'lady" Thayin stood, taking the red head by the hand...

Flawlessly she stood up, holding the sides of her dress so they would not get caught among the splinters and rough edges of the table.

They began to walk arm in arm towards the door, desire shuddering through their bodies. Miranda was already heightened to Thayin's scent since leaning so close that his lips touched her flesh. Never again would he be able to sneak up to her. Ever. His uniqueness was taken within his breath and saliva that were upon his lips.

Her luscious red hair brushed along his sleeve as Miranda looked up to him, letting her hand trail across his strong neck.

"Perhaps you misunderstood me."

When he looked down, tiny points of white death poked out of her lips. Then she spoke again, those canines glaring at him as emerald eyes grew smoky.

"I said you might like it and I'd be gentle."

As the two figure's made their way in a hurry towards Thayin's rented flat, the last remnant's of night began to fade as dawn approached...Thayin glanced down at her deadly smile as she leaned into him. He knew exactly what she meant, however that was something he had wished to avoid in the conversation. Thayin cocked his eye brow at Miranda as they rounded the corner to his apartment...

"Ah, thanks,...But no thanks...There are a few thing's I would like to keep in intact m'lady...Mortality bring one of them." Thayin smiled as he punched in a coded key command at the door to his apartment...Moment's later the two entered and Thayin wasted no time in pouring a glass of wine for them both.

"Make yourself at home, I'm going to take a quick shower and I'll be out momentarily." Thayin shot Miranda a heated smile as he began to make his way to the master suite. Sometimes in life there were those who bit off more then they could chew...Thayin would find this out soon enough the hard way... Inviting a Creature of the Damned in to one's house hold was like asking for nothing less then a death wish come true...

Holding her glass of wine, she watch Thayin disappeared into the bedroom and pouted. "Once again you misunderstood me."

She let the annoyance fade, and stalked around the apartment, letting herself be entertained by the belongings that Thayin called his.

Mostly her thoughts were on how her undead life once again spun around. First she was a slave to the Master that made her. Powerful being that was older then any Vampyre known had given her the Dark Gift. With her new found freedom, Miranda had yet to know her true potential. Critchon had kept her powers at bay and tasting life as a Vampyre should outweighed any dreams of power.

So did revenge.

Thayin would make a nice companion but it saddened her that he would think she would make him a creature of the night. She was created not be her choice and never would she, in turn, do that to another.

As Miranda milled about the room in deep thought, Thayin emerged at the door way to the master bedroom. He stood there for a few moment's, studying the red head from behind. Her shapely form was indeed a sight to behold. But there was a lot more to this woman and the assassin knew it...

Thayin slowly moved up from behind her. However the red head knew all along he was there...Thayin slipped his strong arm's around Miranda's slender waist as he kissed her gently on the neck once more...

"What's troubling you Miranda? You care to talk about it?" Thayin's word's were soft and sincere as he turned her to face him. As the red head turned to face Thayin, she quickly noted he was without a shirt...His finely chiseled body caught her eye immediately, however, there was something else...Something that touched her in a deep and profound way at very moment...Thayin bore many of the same physical scar's upon his own form...Scar's that brought back mental images of bitterness to her mind. The terrible cruelty she had endured at the hand of one she served at one time...And the bleeding scar's of her Vampyre heart that had never quite healed.

"What is it?...Thayin's questioning eye's narrowed a bit as Miranda looked away from him...

Her had slipped away, falling off of his chest as Miranda returned to the view outside. "A Vampyre feels emotions that humans feel a hundred fold. Sometimes perhaps a thousand fold. Love, happiness, pleasure, those we cherish."

She had to pause and her face turned quite stoic suddenly. The glow from building lights outside had cast an eerie glow on her skin, almost making her appear like a living statue. Thayin had missed how pale she was in the bar because she had fed not too long before entering.

The affects were waning, as evident by her emerald eyes gaining an ethereal luster and her skin becoming the color of alabaster. "But pain, anger, fear, innocence lost. This are feelings we harbor. Even for centuries."

Miranda didn't know what else to say. Her hands were covered in blood that was split because of a command to kill those opposed to his will. Then there was the blood of her victims that kept her alive. So much blood had been washed over in body because of fear. Fear of undying torture by Critchon and fear of living without the red sustenance that keeps her going.

How was she suppose to explain these conflicting emotions to Thayin?
