Whatever happened to the cheerful, positive fortune cookies? Like "Happiness is just around the corner." Nobody got confused by that.

Well take a look at what I got this evening at a very pleasant Chinese restaurant:

"Keep your plans secret for now."

I can see where that can be good advice but it just strikes me as weird.

funny, I just ate 2 fortune cookies and got 4 fortunes
"Your luck has been completely changed today"
"You will turn scraps of misfortune into a beautiful quilt"
"You do not need to tolerate dishonesty"
