A butterfly knife is an asian weapon who's handle is two parts that can flip around the blade to cover it.

Its a knife that splits in half and the knife itself is in the middle. the two outter pieces clip together on the other side. That description sucked, so if ya ever seen them in a movie it s where they take out what looks like a piece of metal and flick their wrist and a blade rolls out and ya hear a click.
