That its a very very buggy game right now.

Aside from that, what kind of video card do you have - thats the renderer failing to initialize.

Sounds like Windows 98, which also begs the question of machine specs as well.

Whats the rest of the hardware?

Morgan Evanar

its an Intel i815 integrated video.

Try again when you have a real video card, k?

or go to pricewatch, lay down 40 clams and get an old (but still better) AGP card, like a radeon 7000.

Ack, why bother going with an ancient card with SDR video memory.

The slowest thing you should buy is a Geforce 3 Ti200.

Your all a bunch of hardware snobs :p

If I were a right snob, I'd have an adequate HSF on my Athlon XP 1500+. I have a plain old retail HSF, and so right now she's probably cooking at 43C, and can barely stand to run at stock speeds. I had to underclock her to 100mhz FSB from 133 quite often when i first made her acquaintance, just to get her rolling.

Yeah, I could stand to be more snobbish.

You don't exactly game, Marcus. There is a reason why I'm a "hardware snob." Its so things don't look like crap, and they don't run like crap.

Thats a rather wasteful thing to do. I'd go for bang per buck, which right now is a Radeon 8500 or a GeForce 4 Ti4200

computer part warehouses... but I don't get stuff offline :) cheaper to get online.

(new comp. I'm building is having the Ti4600, 'cause I have the extra money to spend-a.k.a. I'm not paying for it~my dad is)

Ahh, the sneaky way. I only get a video card for my birthday, and thats about $150. This year it was a Ti200... the coming year, I'm going to drop the money for something a bit nicer =]

I'll buy whatever happens to be in the $150-$220 price range during christmas 2002. That'll do me for another year.
