Ogre - A possible hack to consider?

I had been toying around with the idea of a "Total Ignore" feature for a little while now and, just recently, a few posters have brought up the same idea to me. Basically, when you add someone to your ignore list, it would make the person non-existant to you. Instead of simply saying "Click here to see soandso's post", you just wouldn't be able to see it at all. Do you think this would be possible?

I think there may have been a hack like this in the beta forum. May have been made by Overgrow or it may not have. I'm okay with it, but am unsure just how completely invisible it makes an ignored user.

I notice that when you choose to ignore a user you still get a notification in place of their posts with the option to see the post in question. What I would like to be able to do is remove any trace of a user once they have been ignored - as if they were never there.

Ignoring users is something that each individual chooses on thier own, and it can be undone in their user CP.

Fett: No. Unless you specifically choose to ignore someone, it will have no effect.

And yeah - I don't have anyone on my list, but it seemed like a good idea.
