Alright, this is my beef; four years ago my family placed an application with the Amarican Government to recieve a Green Card entitleing us to....yadayadayada, baisically, since I have never been involved in anything like this before I was just wondering if this is normal practice, or have we been forgotten.

Bare in mind we are a family of four, of British nationality, one of which is a doctor. (if this matters at all)

Any help would be appreciated.

Muahaha, im going there in a few years time for 6 months to say with my friend whos 36 years old and has a familiy, he can also give me a job and such as you need a job to move there (yes we have all looked into it) then after that 6 months ill place in my green card application with the job my friend will provide me, and the fact i have a relitive over there as a full american citizen helps me also :p

I think you need a job that is of some use to America - a doctor, computer/IT [person], lawyer, etc. I was going to go work with a friend out there in a holiday complex thing, but would have had to leave after 6 months because of the fact that the job I was in wasn't contributing to society.

Or so I've heard.

Actually theres a area there that have "Non-Skilled" section in the jobs area, if you have a place to stay and have 3 or more sponcers that KNOW you through and through which are 3 of my familiy already. Uncle, aunty and there 21 year old son, all three can sponsor you, and aslong as your in the non-skilled catagory and contributing taxes as anyone would your okay my family have already done it and my Uncles a Painter & Decorator.

Why bother with America?

Australia is better.Sun sand surf, poisionous spiders, babes at bondi, snakes, peace and quiet...

And no pub sells Fosters. Waht more could you want?

Sanis Prent
Jun 27th, 2002, 06:59:49 PM
Sun, sand, and surf.....check
Poisonous spiders.......check
Babes..........................check
Snakes........................check
Peace and Quiet.........check

And as for the Fosters, yeah we might sell it, along with the other couple of hundred other beers from all four corners of the Earth. You don't like it, then don't buy it.

Good luck finding a good bottle of Hacker Pschorr Weisse Dark in Sydney though :)

Or Rogue's Dead Guy
Or Sam Adam's Cherry Wheat
Or Pete's Wicked
Or Dixie Blackened Voodoo

etc...

...all those and 200+ more are less than 2 miles from my front door :mneh

Lilaena De'Ville

:lol Come to America! We have all the beer you could want!

Actually, the Puritans drank only beer when they got here. Because the water in England was so bad at the time, they just assumed all the water in America was poisoned as well. So, man woman and child, they all drank beer. :D

Railroad Bar and Grill, Crows Nest, Sydney. If they dont have it, it's because its a derivative of Fosters. They even have some stuff from Iceland.

I have no idea why

Find those, young grasshopper. It is the only way to enlightenment.

Might as well add Purple Haze to that list as well.

4 years? You're a lightweight. It took one of my relatives 17 years. Depends on the kind of residency you want, what kind of relatives you have here, etc.

Don't hold your breath, is what I'm saying. The embassy in Tehran looked like Saigon 1975 every single day until the revolution, with everyone trying to push ahead of everyone else to squeeze through the gates. My mom had to wait with her dad for a day outside that fence, and then when the gate opened up her dad had to push her through.

Oxfod Streety, Kings Cross is the place to find import beer in Sydney. Best boutique places by a mile.

But if your male, dont bend over. The boutiques are also gay bars in that area. William Street Kings Cross aint bad, but very seedy. Newtown is okay, if you can stand the trendies and Uni students. Bondi I hear is good for Import Beer and that's a fairly normal place - if you can call the suburb with the greatest number of New Zealanders outside Auckland normal.

Which also leads to another interesting fact - Melbourne is the second or third largest population of Greeks in the world 1.3 million or something like that.

Darth Viscera
Jun 28th, 2002, 06:38:17 AM
Yeah, there was a late-night movie on one of those HBO channels about gay greeks in aussie land, or maybe New Zealand. Just saw the summary.

If that wasnt a joke by you, I would not be surprised if there was. Sydney has the second largest gay population in the world.

Charley
Jun 28th, 2002, 07:03:29 AM
Thats funny...cause now they say gay isn't a sexual preference, its a lifestyle.

I mean, the Alabama Board of Education has told me for years that when somebody catches The Gay, they put their PP in another boy's poo-hole. But now, other enlightened people tell me that its much more than that!

I mean, I've never butt-darted a dude, and according to my daily planner, have no plans to do so. But they say that since I listen to Queen, know how to match colors, know how to decorate a room according to Feng Zhuei (sp), know how to cook more than barbecue or toast, and wear pastel microfiber Alfani dress shirts...that maybe I'm just living a lie.

Oh, I've caught The Gay, all right. I'm the H-Bomb of Gay, baby :crack
