View Full Version : Temptations and Revenge (Closed. Lady Vader.)

Chase Starwalker

The landing platform was long and vast. The Sith Palace loomed over everything, or so it seemed. Darkness spread itself over its existence. Corellia’s sun began to set, as the last hint of light poured down on the horizon. He walked a few meters onto the platform.

Chase’s mind raced over Xazor and Sene’s pain. It became his pain,…his revenge. No longer would the Jedi talk things over in a committee, it was time for action. Vader would not go unpunished.

Chase ignited his saber. The green blade cast a shadow of light on the platform, revealing himself to the cold darkness. He stood, while his anger built...he had walked into the heart of the Sith.

IC:

*LV looked up from her meditation in her private chambers. She knew the boy would come, and she had told Coruscant air traffic as much. The beep at her comm console was what brought her to the here and now.*

*Standing, she made her way to the console, and pressed a button. The face of a young officer appeared.*

Flight control: Mistress... your guest has arrived.

*She smiled.*

Thank you, lieutenant. Inform the Captain to raise the planetary shields, and to set the patrol ships in orbit in Omega-Alpha formation over the air space above the Palace.

Have Commander Preble situate Shadow Fleet in formation at the hyperpoint exits. Each star destroyer per hyperpoint.

*The young man nodded and saluted sharply.*

Flight control: At once, Mistress.

*She cut the communication and made her way down to a clearing just south of the Palace. The boy had been given clearance to land his ship on a slab of concrete stationed out there for such purposes. Something close at hand, yet safe enough away from the Palace.*

*As she left the Palace's premisise, the area went into lockdown. With a Jedi so near, it was standard procedure for the Palaces shields and weapons systems to be armed and standing by.*

*but no weapons of the sort would be needed. She doubted very much there would be much left of the boy when she was finished with him.*

*As she reached the clearing, a presence touched her mind, one she accepted warmly, and she sent a single reply. He is here. She received a single thought of understanding as she touched the platforms stairs, and mounted them.*

*At the top the site that greeted her was indeed intriguing. A sinlge Jedi Padawan, saber ignited, hatred in his eyes. Good. This one would be easy.*

*She stopped just inside the platform, addressing the boy.*

Welcome to Corellia, young one.

Emotion tore through the lean body of Chase Starwalker. His dark eyes narrow at the image of the Sith Master.

A cool wave washes over Chase. Images of Xazor...Sene…his own family ...

Shrugging off his robe, Chase steps slowly towards the Sith. With his green blade humming, Chase lets anger fill him, "Your going to pay for all the Jedi you hurt today Vader."

Lady Vader
Jun 27th, 2002, 04:20:34 PM
*She took on a mocking perplexed look.*

All? Curious... I was only aware of hurting one in the last 12 hours. You sure you have the right Vader?

*But what the boy had said confirmed that her plan had succeeded. She had hurt both Jedi at Rama's Corner. One physically and possibly mentally, and the other quite mentally. The Knight she knew would grow past it, and possibly survive the poisoning, but her young Padawan would sooner or later fall due to his emotional state. And this one before her was an unexpected, but a welcoming, added bonus. The day couldn't get any better.*

*She still hadn't made any move to draw her weapon or defend herself, though she remained alert.*

Chase Starwalker
Jun 27th, 2002, 05:14:42 PM
Chase paced. Not toward her, but to an open circular motion around her. His eyes never switched from hers.

"I've got the right Vader..." Chase said with little emotion.

Lady Vader
Jun 28th, 2002, 12:13:23 AM
*The way he was pacing around her gave her goose bumps of delight. Oh, but this one was definitely a live one. It'd been a long time since she'd fought against someone that paced. It was a funny thing to associate with a confrontation, but it was how she sometimes started confrontations.*

*LV crossed her arms and smiled, though the smile carried no warmth.*

Well, you certainly didn't come here for pleasentries... otherwise you would have shown up with a bottle of wine.

Chase Starwalker
Jun 28th, 2002, 10:24:26 AM
Her words did little to ease him from any kind of emotion he might of had. He continued to pace. His mind now one-track. Revenge.

It was amazing how it had taken him, engulfed him. Without even noticing, young Starwalker had become obsessed with revenge.

The frantic humming of the blade, mixed with his footsteps were the only thing that could be heard.

He ignored her words. His thoughts came, and went. This will be a day long remembered.

"I hope you like what I did to Hoshi..." Chase's voice trailed behind his movement.

"...the Jedi will no longer tolerate YOUR kind."

Lady Vader
Jun 28th, 2002, 01:00:15 PM
*She shrugged.*

Hoshi will live. And she will learn from her experiences.

*She raised an eyebrow, never taking her eyes off the young Jedi.*

Unlike yourself, who didn't seem to learn from my handy work that found it's way back to the Jedi.

*Her eyes narrowed slightly.*

It has also come to my attention that you have most likely come here without the knowledge of your elders.

*She shook her head.*

That makes how many rules you've broken now? Quite a few, if I count correctly...

*She started counting off on her fingers.*

Possibly disobeying your Jedi Masters... letting your anger get the best of you... seeking revenge... acting rashly...

Hmmm... seems to me your acting more Sith-like that Jedi-like.

*Her face took on a predatory grin.*

Chase Starwalker
Jun 28th, 2002, 07:23:26 PM
The words cut deep. Deeper than any lightsaber or sword. Mentally her words danced in his head, but he kept his pacing.

The humming of the green blade was the only thing to be heard, an omniscient presence between the two. His steps echoed in the midst of the hums, daring to interfere. The Jedi Masters are powerful, yet they did nothing at the sight of Xazor and Sene’s butchering.

“I don’t think so….sometimes rash things must be done.”

Tuck. Tuck. Tuck. Tuck. Chase’s paced steps kept their form.

What was power if you did not use it? His thoughts betrayed him. Chase’s words came on the Sith Master, this time with emotion fueling them.

“Someday I will be the most powerful Jedi ever…I promise you.”

“And when I do, I will stop people like you from hurting others!”

His words flowed now, emotion had the best of him. Or was it hatred? He could not tell.

Lady Vader

*Her ferral grin remained. Time for the clincher. Time for the one moment she'd been waiting for... for when he would finally snap.*

Empty words... unless you follow through with them.

Chase Starwalker
Jul 1st, 2002, 09:03:48 PM
Enough. Her words hurt. He would do something, they shall be revenged.

His pacing halted. Young Starwalker came into a full sprint toward the Sith Master, his green blade twisting and spinning as his feet pounded the ground. He lost himself in the Force as he bared down on the veteran Sith.

It had begun. . .

Lady Vader
Jul 1st, 2002, 09:46:44 PM
*LV stayed her ground as the Jedi raced towards her. In no time he had closed the short distance between them, his saber held high to cleave her from head to hip. But at the last minute he changed the direction of his saber to take her head off instead of chopping her in two. And she had been ready, for the Force had told her of the Jedi's thoughts. Unbeknowest to him, in his zeal and rage to do away with her, he was emitting his own feelings and thoughts like a becon. It was too easy to read.*

*She side stepped, moving her head away at the last minute from the swinging blade, at the same time grabbing for her own saber, a long double-bladed hilt. But, instead of igniting it, she brought it up and swung it like a batton, connecting solidly with the back of the youth's head as he ran by, his momentum taking him through with the swing through empty air. The resulting loud sounding crack against his skull with the hilt of her saber would send showers of stars into his vision and disorient him.*

*He stumbled to a halt a few feet away, struggling to keep his footing. But when he turned, he found her saber's hilt clipped back to her belt, her hands free of weapons and at her sides, and not a single hair on her head ruffled.*

*She smiled.*

You've taken a step into a larger world, young one. Now lets see if we can get you out of the crawling stage.

Chase Starwalker
Jul 2nd, 2002, 02:17:18 PM
The wound throbbed, not just from the pain, but the insult as well. Chase regained his footing and balanced back with the Force. He calmed himself, trying not to give in to his raging emotions.

He swung his saber around to meet her empty hands, but did something she did not expect.

Chase called upon The Force and dislodged the heavy cast iron torch holder adjacent on the wall, sending it twirling into the back of LV's head. A sickening crack, similar to the one that Chase had recieved, echoed through the platform.

Chase smiled at her, a sensation ran through him...something he had never felt before.

Lady Vader
Jul 2nd, 2002, 05:13:14 PM
*She sensed the iron torch holder moments before it impacted with her skull. To keep the hard metal from doing to much damage, she rolled as it impacted, softening it's effects. Though she would most likely have a headache later. Right now she was having too much fun with this young up-start to notice the bump beginning to grow at the base of her skull.*

*She came out of the roll gracefully, much like a cat rebounds from a leap, and stood, calling the iron torch to her in a fluid movement. It slapped into her hand, where she held it for awhile. And then, it began to melt as she concentrated a patch of Force Destruction within it's casting. Soon the torch holder was a dribbling mass of cooling iron, melded to the floor, none of which remained on her hand.*

*She brushed her hand against the other, looking at the Padawan.*

Good. Goooood. Using your mind is a far better tool than just running in blindly.

*She brought her hand up again, this time closing the fingers slightly, creating a sphere of orange-red. In mere seconds, a firey ball of destruction danced on her palm.*

Now... about that crawling stage...

*Suddenly she unleashed the firey ball at his feet, making him jump to the side. As she let the destruction go, she began to create another with her other hand. Soon there were several tiny explosions at the Jedi's feet. And finally, one found it's mark, burning through his shoe and badly singing his foot and toes, dropping him to his knees.*

Chase Starwalker
Jul 2nd, 2002, 07:03:39 PM
The burn was over rather quickly as it came, but the effects still remained. He used the Force to impact some of the burning explosions, but to little avail.

As soon as his knees touched the ground he rolled out of the line of LV's Force Destruction. Slowly getting back up to his painful feet he turned his saber on her again.

He came down with a diagonal slash as LV ignited her twin blades in time to deflect with easy. Chase poured down with powerful slashes, Vader blocked each thrust, though the tireless attack draws on her waning reserves.

Chase continues his furious attack, each blow increasing in strength and ferocity. Lady Vader is a fraction late with a parry, and Chase's blade glances off her shoulder. Howling with pain, she lashes out with her foot, catching Starwalker off guard with a solid kick to the chest. As Chase struggles to his feet, Vader moves in a circle, features washed in the red glow of her lightsaber.

Lady Vader
Jul 3rd, 2002, 03:21:29 PM
*Her left arm stung as she grit her teeth against the pain, using it as fuel for her power. Thanks to the natural cauterization of a lightsaber's blade, the shallow cut was not bleeding, but it would still need disinfecting and a bacta patch later on.*

*She slowly circled the Jedi, only one blade from her double lightsaber humming. She kept the other end off for the moment, wanting to use it as an advantage later.*

Excellent. You have drawn first blood.

*It was a figure of speech, but it worked well with what she had to say. She stopped her dizzying circle, and stood at a ready position. When a Sith made no move to attack, it was usually a bad sign.*

*All at once, the floor with which the Jedi stood upon began to rumble, the conctrete cracking. It didn't take long for the Jedi to react, and he jumped, flipping in the air to land a meter away from the cracking floor. She had anticipated his move, and a new crack appeared where he landed, this one bigger and nastier than the one made to move him. It swallowed him up to his waist, trapping him for the moment.*

*She took the initiative, and lunged at the trapped boy, her saber swinging low. But she did not sever his head from the position he was in. Instead she brought her saber low enough to cut through the conctrete and slash at his arm, much in the same way he had done to her.*

*Pulling back as he struggled against the pain and concrete walls, she stepped back to where she had previously been, and continued her circling. Humiliation and tauntings were working well on the young lad, his anger getting the best of him.*

Now we are even... in injuries, of course.

Chase Starwalker
Jul 3rd, 2002, 05:01:28 PM
Chase leaped from the concrete grave, his arm burning with the scar high on his shoulder. He landed several feet from the ship he had flown to Coriella, he could still feel the heat radiating off the ship.

He ignited his saber once more, the humming hiss was a savior. He began to size up LV, staring deep into her eyes.

Chase began to think of the Jedi code...perhaps he should not be here, Leia would be dissapointed. The Sith Master saw his thoughts dance within his head of hope. Quickly another image flashed into his mind, the image of fallen Jedi.

With a snarl, Chase snaps from the thought and swings at Lady Vader. The sound of crackling breaks the night air as the lightsaber lock. Chase shoved off the lock, turning to the right. His left foot catches LV in the side of the head, sending her in that direction.

Chase backs off the attack.

"Perhaps I shouldn't have come here, it was for the wrong reasons..." Chase tried to convince himself.

Lady Vader
Jul 3rd, 2002, 06:53:33 PM
*LV rolled with the impact, coming up to stand again, looking at the Jedi as he began to doubt himself.*

A little late for doubts, is it not, young one? Perhaps, if you had listened to your Elders, you wouldn't have run off so abruptly.

*She sneered.*

Why bother being a Jedi when you have the makings of being a Sith. You obviously cannot follow rules as a Jedi...

*She lunged at him again, this time igniting the other end of the saber, and having a go at him, relentlessly pounding his saber as he blocked each blow. She was beginning to open herself to her true power, which she had been holding back to give the Jedi a false confidense. No longer. He would soon start to see his error in coming to her with a challenge.*

Chase Starwalker
Jul 3rd, 2002, 07:20:37 PM
He pounded out her attack.

The blows became fierce. The impact shook both of the combatants as they shared each other's attacks. Emotion ran high, the battle took a serious turn for both of them.

Chase's thoughts tormented him, a terrible thing when engulfed in such a battle in which one needed thier wits. He was a Jedi.

...the makings of a Sith.

NO. He shook the thoughts from within him, the Darkside tingled up his spine, wrapping itself in his mind. He stayed alert and focused, using the Force as his guide, he navagited the Darkside, pushing it out of him.

The sabers contined thier dance. Starwalker played off the Sith's menacing twin blades with brutal accuracy, but she was powerful.

He ducked low of a horizontal swipe and came with an uppercut that leveled her jaw, spewing blood from her lips. He rolled backwards, spinning his green saber in a motion of swordsmanship.

Back on his feet once more she bared down on him, backing him against a wall in the far corner of the platform.

Lighting had become dim, for Coriella's sun had set. The saber's kept thier pace through the darkness of the still air. Chase moved again for another uppercut, this time the Sith Master moved. Chase glanced at her for a brief moment, leaving himself open for the seasoned Sith.

Gav Mortis
Jul 3rd, 2002, 07:33:22 PM
Having little else to do, Gav had followed Lady Vader from the Palace, from her demeanor it looked like she was ready for action; a rarity for him as of late so he took it upon himself to see what all the fuss was about. He had heard about a handful of ships being moved about and security stepped up a notch and was brought to a landing platform, south of the palace.

"A fight had begun - already - she doesn't waste any time!" He thought to himself with a grin. From a distance he had seen the ship landed and watched as the Sith Mistress and Jedi talked but not for too long.

Whilst in the thick of the fight he made his way around to the other side of the raised platform, opposite side of the stairs and with a deep breath, leapt. His body soared upwards, propelled by the Force and he landed quietly. Cautiously he made his way around the side of the Jedi's vessel and crouching in it's shadow, watched on.

OOC: I hope you don't mind me joining in. I have no intentions of getting involved in the fight. But if either of you have any strong objections, I will respect your wishes.

Lady Vader
Jul 3rd, 2002, 08:26:35 PM
OOC: No, it's ok Gav. So long as you stay put. =)

*LV felt the warm trickle of blood escape from her lips, and lapped it up with her tongue, grinning ferrally. She pressed her advantage. The Jedi surprised her though with his quick movements and reaction. A pity he wasn't completely giving in to the Dark Side.*

*She'd cornered him now, but he kept his attack firm, and while he paused momentarily, she stepped back and reachedher hand out to strike him with a small bout of Force Lightning. It surprised him to say the least, and he sank against the wall, though not to the ground. As his face settled into resolve once more, he attacked her. She parried each blow, backing him again into the corner.*

*As she backed him into the corner, she did something he would never see coming. She split her saber in two, at the center of the hilt, essentially creating to lightsabers. She watched the Jedi's eyes widen as he realized parrying two loose sabers with one would be far more difficult then parrying one. And she showed him as much as she deflected one of his parries with her right saber, and came down with the left towards the arm that held his own saber. The red blade sliced cleanly through, dislodging his right arm between elbow and shoulder. She stepped back once the deed was done and Force Pushed him against the wall. The resounding smack echoed in the small landing platform.*

*Her breathing calming down, she deactivated both sabers and clipped them back together, attaching it to her belt. She took a step back and reached her hand out, calling the Jedi's ldeactivated lightsaber to her. She hefted it for a moment in her hand before closing her fingers around the hilt. With entensified Force Grip and a concentration of Destruction, she shattered the lightsaber and it's components, dropping the useless piece of warped metal to the ground. She didn't believe in trophies. Her handy work and actions left on others as mental scars was trophy enough.*

*She tilted her head slightly, regarding the pitiful Padawan.*

A pity it had to come to this. You could have made something of your life as a Sith...

And you still can...

Jul 3rd, 2002, 08:29:00 PM
*While LV destroyed the Jedi's lightsaber, a large black panther crept onto the scene, smelling singed flesh. Her nose directed her to a severed arm, and with careful precision, she bounded in, grabbed the arm in her powerful jaws, and leapt off the platform, high tailing it for the woods a few meters away.*

Chase Starwalker
Jul 4th, 2002, 12:03:00 AM
He did not scream, or even grunt. With his arm went the pain. He blacked out for a slight moment, coming to at the bottom of the wall, in a slumped state.

His scared stub of an arm did not move, for he could not feel almost anything. Coming in and out of conciousness he locked his eyes over Lady Vader stand before him. The anger couldn't register, for Starwalker could not comprehend what had just happend. ...no...my..ar..m...nothing Chase's thoughts went a mile a minute.

"No...I'll...ne..ver...join.." Chase paused as his head began to spin. "...you.."

Lady Vader
Jul 4th, 2002, 12:45:03 AM
*She shook her head and shrugged, then pulled out a comlink, speaking a few commands into it. Within moments, several armed guards had appeared, picking the Jedi off the landing platform, and dragiing his body to the dungeonous cells made for Force users. The cells were special in that they prevented Force users from calling the Force to them. It utilized the same technology Force cages used.*

*Once the Jedi was gone and locked up deep in the Palace, a huge crapling ship came and hooked it's pincer arms around the Jedi's craft. The ship was now impounded and to be held at the military garrison nearby.*

*With that mess cleaned up, she made her way back to the Palace to tend to her now healing wound.*

Chase Starwalker
Jul 5th, 2002, 09:29:08 AM
The gaurd had no trouble with the young boy. His conciouness failed him many times, not sure where he was being taken.

Slumped into a corner of a darkend cell far into the palace walls, he mourned his arm. It was gone now, the wound was healing, but slowly. His frustration had been put in check, but anger still lingered. Lady Vader was powerful.

He tried to reach Leia again...but to no avail, the cell was force protective...and he couldnt get through.

All he could do was lay in a sorry state of what he once was. He was weak.

WEAK.

His thoughts came and went through him.

And he made a promise.

I promise myself, now.
That I'll never be so weak.

Ever again.

Gav Mortis
Jul 7th, 2002, 02:47:12 PM
Shortly after Chase had been dumped in one of the cells made to accomodate Force-Sensitives his once dim surroundings were suddenly illuminated. The lights all came to life and their artificial brilliance filled every corner of the cell and the space outside where Gav now stood. He too had lost connection to the Force due to his close proximity to the cell, between the recovering Jedi Padawan and the recently arrived man stand a humming forcefield, visible due to it's red tint and it's occasional flickering.

"Hello Chase. I would ask you how are you feeling however I think I know the answer." His voice was clear and eloquent, his soft eyes narrowed and he stepped closer to get a better look at Chance's major wound. Gav was wearing a pair of black, cloth trousers and a grey tunic of sorts matching the colour of his synthetic leather boots, he did prefer shades of brown but as they're Jedi colours it is rarely approved of here at the order.

"Oh well, that wounds fully cauterized now but nevertheless it is very much prone to infection." He turned around and took a small case hanging from the wall and speaking to the gaurd, gestured to the cell and asked, "Would you?"

Immediatly the gaurd deactivated the cell forcefield which required a code only two people were allowed to know at any one time. In this case those two people were Mistress Vader and the gaurd. "Thank you!" Gav said as he stepped inside the cell and knealt down by Chase, one side of his face had a hint of red from the now reactivated forcefield.

"No doubt you aren't happy about what has happened today and with good reason, but for the time being let me sort out these wounds of yours. Try to preserve your energy, please relax." His words were soothing and calm whilst he opened the medpac and revealed a small needle of anasthesis, he took a hold of the remainder of the padawan's dismembered limb. Chase felt the needle go in with a small pinch and Gav injected a fraction of the fluid at variosus points about the wound until the needle was empty. By the time he was finished, what was left of Chase's right arm had gone completely numb.

"I'm just going to treat you for infections - do you have any objections?" He asked this as he delved into the medpac once more, this time taking ou a small spray. "Oh and by the way, who was your master in the Jedi Order?"

Lady Vader
Jul 7th, 2002, 07:13:26 PM
*LV was sitting in her chambers, contimplating the events of the day after placing a synth patch on her arm where the Padawan's lightsaber had singed her flesh. It was healing nicely, and with the patch would leave little to no scar.*

*While sitting there her comm beeped and she picked it up, answering the call.*

Yes?

*It was the cell guard.*

Guard: Mistess Vader. You wishd me to inform you if the prisoner had any visitors?

Yes, go on.

Guard: Well, Lord Mortis is here, and treating to the prisoner wounds.

*LV was silent for a moment. So that was the faint presence she'd felt at the landing pad, though she was too busy to give it any heed. It didn't surprise her that Gav had decided to visit with the Padawan. Somehow, it just seemed normal that he would.*

Guard: Mistress? Your orders?

*The guards voice broke ino her musing and she answered back.*

It's ok, Leiutenant. Let Lord Mortis visit with the prisoner.

But do keep me informed regularly.

Guard: Aye, m'Lady.

*As the guard resumed his silent vigil over the prisoner and his guest, LV went back to her thoughts.*

Chase Starwalker
Jul 8th, 2002, 04:37:03 PM
Chase glared at the Sith, not knowing if he could trust him or not. Either way his wound needed treatment badly, so he allowed the man to do his work.

"Leia..." Chase managed out.

"Leia is my master..."

Gav Mortis
Jul 8th, 2002, 06:08:03 PM
"Ah so Leia is your master. Good, now we know who to inform when you are killed." He said casually, spraying a cold, viscous fluid about the blackened wound. It hissed as it went to work although Chase wouldn't feel it. Gav looked up at him with a half smile. "What? You don't actually think they will let you go do you?"

The hissing died down momentarily, only to start up again as Gav continued the treatment, his gaze leaving that of the Padawan's for a moment. He shook his head regretfully.

"I'm sorry Chase, it's out of my hands. You are a Light-Sider, they are Dark-Siders and unless you join them, you will be killed and despite all your courage and determination; you know deep down as I do you wont win a fight, not in this state." His hand raised, gesturing to his stub of an arm.

"Tell me--" He began, feeling the young man's glaring eyes upon him, then asked curiously, "Why do you give me such looks, Chase? Do you hate me?"

Chase Starwalker
Jul 8th, 2002, 09:38:47 PM
Hate him?

"I don't hate." Chase stated painfully.

Young Starwalker's words grew bolder.

"It is beyond a Jedi to hate."

Gav Mortis
Jul 9th, 2002, 05:05:51 AM
"Then I'm glad you don't hate me--" He replied, taking out a bacta patch and some tape, "--but don't be so naive to claim that it is beyond a Jedi to hate. In fact, no, it is a downright lie and you know it, for today I could feel hate from you when you fought Lady Vader."

He pressed the thick, soft, bacta-laced material onto his wound and snapped off a strip of tape and began patching it to his arm. "Don't get me wrong. I'm not like the others; I'm not saying this to try to manipulate you or turn you to the big, bad Sith Order!" He said sarcastically, his hands gesturing in a spooky yet comical way.

"There, that's the bacta patch on. Not much left to do." He said, taking a roll of bandages and slowly unravelling it.

"Look Chase, I'm going to be as forthcoming as I can here--" He said patiently, beginning to wrap the bandages around the stub of his arm. "--you are a young, impressionable and naive padawan who is without doubt going to die today. Do not be blinded by arrogance and see that it is the truth."

He had bandaged up the wound and it would now heal much less painfully and more quickly. He smiled at Chase then his smile faded away into a frown as he saw the suffering in the young man's eyes, all the conflict of not knowing whether to trust him or not. Gav shook his head and placed his hand on the padawan's shoulder, leaning forward and looking into his eyes spoke with urgency.

"You do not have much time left. They are coming! Trust me, you have one person on the inside now who can help you." He pointed to himself with his free hand so that the gaurd didn't know what he was telling Chase. "But you have to trust him; he is not going to put his neck on the line for you unless you will trust him. He knows who you're dealing with and has done this before. He will help you get back to Leia, if you just let him."

Chase Starwalker
Jul 9th, 2002, 11:56:36 AM
The man was right. He had felt the hate himself coming from within today. He didn't want to hate...it manifested itself through him, taking control. It was a feeling he couldn't describe, but he had not fully given into that hate - for it would have destroyed him.

Starwalker was not sure if Lady Vader would kill him or not, but it certaintly was a possibility. Now this man promises a way out...
trust a Sith ?....

What choice did he have?

None.

"He will help you get back to Leia, if you just let him."

Chase gave a reluctant nod to Gav. He would have to trust him.

Gav Mortis
Jul 9th, 2002, 05:22:00 PM
"Very well." He said with a nod, he patted Chase's shoulder before removing his hand from it.

Quietly Gav returned the equiptment he'd used to help the Jedi to the medpac, podering on what he could do to get Chase out of here. For a moment he sat without saying anything, knowing full well that the padawan would not like what he had to say.

"Chase, this is going to be difficult for you but you are going to have to walk a dangerous path to get out of here alive." He lowered his voice almost to a whisper, whether or not the gaurd had been trying to listen he was uncertain but this was a measure of precaution. "The moment we leave this Force-nullifying cell, ever Force-sensitive individual nearby will sense your presence. Believe me, a Light-Sider in a Sith establishment stands out like a rancor playing a game of sabaac with some Jawas."

"What you need to do is dig deep and find those dark emotions; anger, aggression and hatred - they will keep you safe here - but focus them not on me, nor any of those around you for that will give the game away. Your hatred in this building must be directed elsewhere; far away against your kind. Do this until we leave and you will be safe. Like I said, I've done this before."
Once again, he placed his hand on the young man's shoulder and brought him close not breaking eye contact. "I know what I am telling you seems odd but you must believe me when I say I am not like the others; I care not for this feud between Dark and Light - I think it's unneccessary and isn't getting us anywhere. When you go home I want you to tell your Jedi elders that there is hope--"

Suddenly standing Gav turned but before asking the gaurd to deactivate the forcefield he looked back to the Jedi Padawan and extended a hand to help him to his feet,

"Will you promise me this?"

Perhaps it was the medicine that did it's work silently, or the shock of having his arm severed from his body. What Gav was proposing was...un-thinkable. This was getting dangerous. A Trick? There was no way he could be sure...

He had to call upon his hatred and darkest feelings...such things are not of the Jedi.

But what he had done...taking revenge...giving into his anger...was not of the Jedi either. And for the first time, he was ashamed.

He had no other choice. He nodded once more to Gav.

Perhaps this Sith isn't such a bad person after all...he wasn't like the others he had met. There seemed to be some compassion within him, but without his force ability there was no way to be sure.

"Don't nod too hard, your head might fall off!" Gav smiled and sent a wink at Chase as he turned to the gaurd and signalled. Within an instant the forcefield was down and as soon as Gav had one foot over it, the gaurds head fell to the floor in a quick flash of red and hum of a lightsaber blade.

"Now--" He said calmly turning to the Jedi in the cell, he walked over and helped him to his feet but then took on a much more serious tone. "--I want no foolishness from you now. The moment you step outside this room I want to feel your hatred and anger, you have to feel hell bent on destroying Master Solo or Xazor Dawnstrider, anything but you must do it!"

He took him by the arm and walked him outside of his cell and gestured towards the doors, "If I sense anything other than hatred from you once we're out there I will have your head in an instant because I am putting my neck on the line here as it is and if it comes to that I will simply say you stole my lightsaber, killed the gaurd and made a run for it before I got you. Understand?" His eyes were stern.

If Chase strayed from his instructions he knew they would both be in a world of trouble so he had to trust the Jedi as much as the padawan had to trust him. He swallowed back his feelings of doubt or worry, knowing that others would pick up on them once they were outside and tried to feel as normal as possible.

"Follow me, we are headed to a pilot-training facility, there are some spare starfighters and if we're quick we should get off Corellia in no time."

With that they both headed for the door.

"I...understand." Chase let out a sigh.

Coming out of the door he left his Jedi code behind him. Forgive me for what I am about to do...

Leia. His thoughts went to her.

What had she done to help Xazor? NOTHING. It quirked him little, but he drove it inside of him, glaring with anger. He followed Gav around the twists and turns of the Palace hallways. Keeping his anger flowing he felt un-easy, but continued on.

Placing his thoughts on Master Q'Dunn, Jedi Master. He had cared for Xazor and Sene's wounds, but did nothing to aide thier cause. Anger fueled his steps. His fight with Vader. His lost arm. The power. Everything came and went a million parsec's a second.

It overwhelmed the young Padawan who was dabbing into the heart of the Dark Side. Walking a fine line between good and bad, he felt the Dark Side, more powerfully than ever. He hoped this event would not scar him and his Jedi morals.

Coming around another turn he noticed a large dome-shaped room.
