Remember the Paataah Class Bulk Cruiser (http://www.swforums.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17168) we were plotting on putting to good use?

Well, I've been mulling over the idea, and was wondering... how bout we make a new forum as the resort/casino? It'd be kinda like Yog's at GJO, only this baby would be ours. I thought that it could replace the Visitor's forum, but I realized this ship wasn't a stationary object like the Visitor's center is. This ship will travel throughout the galaxy. Yeah, it'll have it's own forum, but it can have several RPs in it wherever it goes, containing gambling, mystery, murder, success, losses, dancing girls, you name it. Hell, even the Hutt's would be envious!

I've already got a character that's ready and waiting to run the resort/casino ship (his background will be that his family owns a big business firm and he used to be an Imperial officer, and thus knows how to run a ship and business... need to talk to Visc about the Imperial part to see if it's cool with him that this character have a history with the Galactic Empire).

Come on, whaddya say? This would be fun! And hopefully it'd catch on! Hmmm? Hmmm??? Waddya say??? :)

And, ladies and gentlebeings, I would be the Head Honcho running the resort/casino. Under TSO, of course.

I was trying to think of a name for the resort/casion ship, but I am coming up completely dry. Maybe we can use one of the many casino's on Las Vegas and add on Jewel or something after the title... just to make it sounds a little different.

Well, I got the ok for the whole Imperial background this character has, and with the business background from his parents, it works perfectly for the resort/casino, it being a business and a ship.

Now we just need a NAME for this dang establishment!!

Come on ppl... start spitting casino sounding names, hell, even embellishing Vegas casino names is adequate!

The Saiatah High Roller, Gambling and Entertainment Cruiser, liscensed under the Correllian Entertainment Bussiness. Operated by Javus Parr. 4.2 km long, 1.4 km high. Fully stocked with all of the entertainment of the galaxy. 4 main deck types:
Lower, Middle, Upper, and Elite classes. Middle is where the shipdocks are. Lower, we have vents and air tight blockades, able to flood sections of it with different types of gas, if needs be.
Middle would also be the largest, and where the people who work on the ship live. Upper would have the majority of the "themed" gambling sections, while Middle would just have plain. Elite would be the million cred limit games etc. etc. Lower would have the Animal fights, blob racing, and gladiator type games.

Dont forget to add the amusment park, holo-entertainment theaters, live shows, dining, shopping, and a shield encased area where you can see all around out into space while a torpedo show goes on.

Dang, this is an awesome idea. Expensive... but I think we can pull it off.

Ok, Dyzm, if you can help me with the specifics on the whole ship (btw, LOVE the name you suggested), then I can get the forum started and running.

I don't think we need to go into extreme detail, but, lets get it as detailed as possible.

If anyone here knows how to make a ship like this work I.E. Engines, Shields, Weapons. Can ya help us out? We be working on the entertainment section of the ship. You can work on the ship itself.

Gav seems to be pretty dang knowledgable about ships specs. This particular ship will need to be well armed as it will be holding a lot of money (gotta keep pirates and other things off). Hull integrety, security systems, slave overrides in case it is captured, shields, weapons, and it will have it's own flight of fighter squadrons.

Dyzm, you seem to have a grasp on what entertainments and how it works type stuff. This ship needs to cater to all needs of the various beings we'll have on board, including different environments in the cabins for those species that require it.

I'll be helping ya both with ideas and whatnots as we outline this beast.
