Imminent Concern...(Knights and Master READ - Marcus)

Xazor made her way through the doors of the Council Chambers and took a few steps to reach the center of the room. A holo-pad rested in her hands as she locked eyes with each Council Member, and respective Jedi there.

"Greetings....this day I bring before you a concern that is heavy upon my heart. As you are aware, I was given the position of head of the Recruitment Center a few months ago. Since then I have been greeting prospective Jedi each day, accepting them into the Order and working to find them Masters. Lately, though...we have had a shortage of Masters and Knights who are available to train due to other committments and what-not. Because of this situation, fellow Knight, Navaria Tarkin and myself started a Force Class for the Masterless Padawans. It has gone well, I can assure you....but there are several who are becomming impatient. Some of these young Jedi have decided that if they do not recieve a Master soon, they will leave. There are nearly twenty or so that do not have proper Masters. I would be greatly saddened to see them go....for each one holds a place in my heart. There is not much that I myself can do, for I already have twelve Padawans of my own. I seek guidance from the Council and fellow Jedi on this important issue...."

The Knight smiled for a moment and bowed in respect, hoping that they would see the seriousness. The holo-pad that she held in her hands contained the exact number of masterless Padawans and each of their names. Hopefully something could be done about this imminent concern....

Liam sighed then spoke up. "This worries me. As much as I don't like training, I'll be willing to take another padawan. Actually I have one in mind so I'll check up on it later. But if the padawans are becomming impatient enough to leave...let them."

He paused and looked around the room, then began again. "I'd rather phase out the impatient now before they get upset later because they, say...haven't been promoted yet. Xazor, who exactly has said they are going to leave if they don't get a master?"

Xazor sighed gently and looked on her holo-pad for a moment before her eyes met those of Liam.

"Grey Riftblade...whom I just recruited three days ago, specifically made mention that he would leave if a Master did not choose him soon. Plo Koon has shown great impatience as well as Corin Zetith. Some of these young Padawans have not even been around for a few weeks and their impatience has grown immensly. Then there are some that have been here for more than a month and have stayed committed to learning the waves of the Force, regardless of the fact that they are Masterless. It puzzles me as to why some are like this...and yet others are graced with patience. I hate to see any of them go....we can work on their patience, you must have faith in them!"

She tried to show her true concern through the stress in her voice. None of them should be let go.....

He sighed. "No, I will not put my faith in padawans that will not do so in return. They are showing just how much faith they have in the jedi by saying such things. They need to be taught patience early on and the lack of Masters seems to be teaching them well enough. Do these padawans realise the situation with the lack of people yet?"

Xazor nodded, agreeing in part with his words.

"Oh yes, I explain to each one the reason for the lack of Knights and Masters who are able to train, then I ask if they will complete what they have started. Of course they say yes...."

She said softly, thinking back to several of those meetings where they had hesitated....but then agreed. Should she have looked at those cases more seriously? She would never know....

OOC: Now that my exams, etc. are over I will register that master account for training about five padawans tomorrow or on Sunday, I hope that will ease the load some.

ooc: Wasn't it supposed to be a Knight?? Just thought that Marcus said if it wasn't, it would take away the importance of the title of Master. :lol Thankies Loki! I have a really good Padawan who would be able to do that as well. :) Just stop your character into the RC and pick some up! :)

OOC : Yep supposed to be ranked Knight - but the correct honorific for a Knight who trains is Master Jedi :)

ooc: That's what I thought....every Padawan who comes here calls me, "Master Jedi" and I seem to have Master put before my name more so than the real Masters! :lol Hmmm...I could get used to this. ;) No, in all seriousness.....something needs to be done so that we do not loose a bunch of Padawans to impatience.....

Can the Masterless Padawans be presented and listed? We can ask no more of you Xazor, you have done well managing all of this. Others now must do their part to help you, as you will burn out and then what will happen?

These are the Masterless Padawans. The (*) next to their name represents the fact that they are indeed, active....meaning that I have seen them active within the last week. :) I hope that this is extensive enough. Basically the whole first two pages of the Recruitment Center are Masterless.... many of these Padawans you may view in the Force Class (http://www.swforums.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18902) led by myself and Navaria Tarkin. I hope that this is informing and will help in the efforts to solve our problem!

I have been trying to keep up with that as well, Marcus. I have been submitting lists to the Access thread in Arcan IV. Hmmm.....to the best of my knowledge most all of them have access except for:
