But in case you all thought I was a bore, I have to admit my latest sparkler bomb was awesome

Square announced they will begin to beta test the Windows version of Final Fantasy XI in Japan starting on June 18. The Windows version will run on its own dedicated test servers, separated from the PS2 version. However, the basic PlayOnline services will be shared with PS2 users, such as messaging, chatting, emails and the card battle game from FF9 - the Tetra Master. The PC version of Final Fantasy XI is scheduled for release before the end of this fiscal year (March 2003). Here are the requirements:

OS: Windows 98 / 98SE / Me / 2000 / XP
CPU: Pentium III 800 MHz (Recommended Pentium 4 or higher)
Memory: 128MB or higher
Graphics: DirectX 8.1
Graphics Card: nVidia GeForce compatible or higher (Recommended GeForce 3 or higher)
Sound: Sound Card
CD-ROM: 4X CD-ROM Drive (Recommended 32X or higher)
Disk Space: 4.5GB or higher
Modem: 56K or higher

It is a ps2 port, and you'll probably want pixel shader support.

Like every other Square FF game port, it will likely be sloppy and therefore unescerily hard on the system. They're likely too lazy to properly re-write the renderer to lean on the T&L unit of the GeForce 3/Radeon 8500.

same with the rockstar team and the gta 3 port to pc. It runs like crap on my pc and I run it at 640 x 480 x 16 bit.

I have a 1.0 ghz AMD duron, GeForce 2, 256 mb DDR ram.

If I have a choice to buy a game for a system instead of a PC, I will.

Unless that game has updates, online capabilites and all that, then I will buy it for PC.

I.E. Star Wars Galaxy is coming out also on Playstation 2, I thought, how gay is that, it will be a (B+)itch to update. You have to buy a portable harddrive for the PS2, then you also have to buy a keyboard so you can talk....

But I am looking forward to GTA 4 (Or GTA 3 Miami edition, which I have heard rumors about) They say you will be able to play it online, with up to 20 others racing around, killing each other, raming each other, etc. etc.

Note, these are rumors from video game sites, do not take anything to heart. Half of it is guess work, seeing that the Original GTA could be played on LAN servers.

Gue, the way I see it, if you ignore my advice...it doesn't hurt me one bit. Simply keeps ludicrous things coming out of your mouth, and maximizes the hilarity.

Its a win-win for me.

Now you see...things like that are gay. Not gay like a man kissing another man (if thats your bag, do your thing).

No, I mean gay like Richard Simmons in Cirque de Soleil (sp), in hot pink spandex, leotards, and twirling a sparkly baton to Hall & Oates and Barbara Streisand in a duet.

Thanks, Charley. Now I'm gonna have nightmares. :x

I swear! Given a choice, I'd rather see the two guys kissing! And even then, I'd still have nightmares!!

Yup, Loki sure is. A) He's named Loki (i.e. The Trickster from Norse Mythology)

and B) He uses Harry Potter in his Avatar and Frodo in his sig.

How can he do that? :huh

There was this older English couple on vacation that visited my work, and they asked where I was from. Like I always tell people when they ask, I said I was a navy brat (no real point of origin with the exception of being born in Cali).

Man you shoulda seen the look they gave me. Of course they explained how brat was used in context in England, but still. Those looks were pretty damn funny.
