Navaria Tarkin
Jun 13th, 2002, 09:28:09 PM
Navaria Tarkin sat in the back of the bar, nursing her usual order of namana juice under a hooded face. Normally the Jedi Knight was in a good mood, relaxed and open for any company.

This night was different. A long frown was carefully masked as she eyed certain Sith that she knew were from the Empire. The overheard conversations confirmed her suspicions that Dalethria indeed had broken away from them and was permanently based on Meras. Her family home.

Strangely, she didn't want to believe it but it was true. The Tarkin estate continued to be a center of evil and malice.

She had hoped it might have been abandoned but that was a futile hope. In her mind, Navaria knew that it was for the best that she not be associated with such a place but for the young child that enjoyed speeder bike races with her brother, Marc, one couldn't help feel a deeply rooted pain in the heart.

(Maybe the hood was body language in itself. I'd never seen her with it on....inside, anyways. I wasn't force sensitive, but I could tell when something was up. Usually, Nav was the little ray of sunshine around here. Now, seems like somebody put that sunshine in the shade.)

You know...it doesn't rain indoors.

(I looked down at her, hoping that a little humor might bring her out of her hood)

Normally, under better circumstances, Sanis' quips would have made her smile.

This was not such a time and Navaria didn't even look up when she said.

"I know."

Instead she kept staring straight ahead at the empty seat across from her.

(It wasn't what I wanted to hear. She wasn't coming out of her slump. I sat down slowly, concern written across my face. I'd never seen her like this. Maybe it was a part of her that existed originally as Navaria, because Dalee had never been so glum. For the moment, I just sat, looking at her)

Navaria Tarkin
Jun 16th, 2002, 07:20:25 PM
The concern she felt from Sanis was thick and callous. Navaria could almost feel it surrounding her skin.

She stopped looking past him and let his face come into focus. All that Navaria could see was concern and confusion. Both of them knew it would take time to understand one another again but the confusion of Navaria and Daleethria was still there.

"Did you want something to drink?"

The voice behind the hood asked, trying to fill the silence with something besides with what was wrong.

(I put my hand over one of hers for emphasis. My voice was calm, but serious.)

No. I want to know what's wrong.

She took a deep breath; eyes falling heavy on the hand that covered hers.

"It's complicated."

I'd expect nothing less. You've never been less than a puzzle to me.

Navaria Tarkin

Navaria remained quiet, not really sure on how to express what it was she was feeling. She was able to get a handle on her emotions finally ... with some help, being able to ascend as a Jedi Knight.

The only thing that still haunted her was her "sister" and it bothered her greatly. Hearing that her childhood home was claimed by Dalethria didn't help matters today but .... still, everything was bothering her more this night then any other.

Could it be a portent or just fear.

But a Jedi knows no fear ... And ... how could she even explain this to Sanis.

So ... she remained quiet and elusive, underneath the hood of her cloak.

(I obviously wasn't making the situation any better)

I'm sorry. I know it doesn't help to pry.

(With a kiss beneath her shroud, I stood, preparing to leave)

Navaria Tarkin
Jun 30th, 2002, 07:10:35 PM
The brush against her lips was so fast that Navaria already missed the contact even before he started to leave. She wanted to be left alone to deal with her problems but when it came to Sanis ... when it came to love ... the part of her heart that she gave to him ached at the sound of him getting up.

"Don't go."

Navaria's head drooped down and a tentative hand pulled at the back of her hood. Brown hair spilled out and the Knight was grateful that it covered her troubled face.

She closed her eyes and took a shaky breath; focusing on remaining in control. It was partially working.

"Please."

(Her words were more than enough to bring me back to my seat. I sat again, plying the uneasy silence with a good deal of difficulty. She'd been holding me together for a while now. Longer than I could remember. I'd never seen her lose her cool, but this was a first. It was more than an obligation. I could almost feel the anguish in the air.)

You don't have to say a word, Nav. But I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere.

Navaria Tarkin
Jun 30th, 2002, 07:41:52 PM
Navaria lifted her head and squared her shoulders; looking at Sanis with a grateful smile. For his presence and his words. She still felt obligated to say something.

"Thank you. I'm ... sorry, for being this way. I know I'm not normally like this."

Sanis Prent

(I smiled slightly, to ease some of the tension. I had a hunch about all this.)

Is this...about Dalethria?

Navaria Tarkin
Jun 30th, 2002, 08:07:20 PM
"Yeah."

She nodded.

"It is."

Then Navaria chuckled nervously.

"Was I that transparent?"

Sanis Prent

(I couldn't laugh in response. I was too busy remembering the circumstances of yesterday...and the last time I had to say goodbye.)

Navaria Tarkin
Jun 30th, 2002, 08:30:01 PM
"Hey..."

Navaria's mood turned sour quickly... just when she was feeling a little better, now Sanis had been infected by her brooding.

"... what's wrong?"

She asked gently, taking his hand into her own, much like Sanis did for her not too long ago.

Sanis Prent
Jun 30th, 2002, 08:37:13 PM
You know exactly what's wrong.

(I could feel my temper rising, but it wasn't against her at all. I bottled it up, and let myself calm down)

She's looking for you again, isn't she?

Navaria Tarkin
Jun 30th, 2002, 08:44:38 PM
She squeezed his hand as reassuringly as possible... but it was hard. The anger within Sanis was about to boil over. It was amazing that he didn't burst right here and now. But ... the conversation just started....

"I'm not sure. She probably is having the same dreams I am."

Navaria looked down somewhat ashamed.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you everything at the time .... but I wasn't sure if the nightmares were about ... her. It's hard to say either way if she's coming for me or not. I know word has probably reached her by some means that I'm alive .... I just know there will be a confrontation ... someday."

Her heart was beating rapidly and the shame rose to her face. Navaria couldn't believe that what she was feeling was fear. It wasn't strong but it was there. Dalethria killed her once, along with Sorsha's help. Who knows when that family would set their sights on her.

Sanis Prent
Jun 30th, 2002, 09:28:15 PM
(I breathed in deeply, and exhaled, my voice was calm)

I'll kill her. I swear to God, I will. Like I should have done the last time.

Navaria Tarkin

"No Sanis ..."

Her voice was low but strangely calm as well.

"... I need to face her. Face my fear ... when the time comes."

Navaria Tarkin

"I'm unclear of what you speak of."

She replied, her brows furrowed in confusion.

"The last time I faced Dalethria was when we shared a body. It was Sorsha, Kat at the time, that rid me of her sister's mind."

Then Navaria cocked her head to the side and looked at Sanis carefully.

"Unless you mean .... Daleethria."

The Knight said evenly.

"That was Sorsha ... not Dalethria."

Sanis Prent
Jul 1st, 2002, 01:01:55 PM
Yeah, Sorsha was the one who did it...but those two always work together. They can't be reasoned with, can't be bargained with, and won't stop until they kill you.

Navaria Tarkin
Jul 1st, 2002, 01:07:50 PM
"Actually ...."

She leaned back in her seat and gently rubbed her thumb across the top of Sanis' hand.

"... I get a sense that they aren't on good terms with one another .... but that could change."

If Navaria wasn't so out of sorts today, she probably would have noticed the infamous Nebari had entered Yog's long before she sat down. The Knight wasn't too happy being taken by surprise like that ... but Navaria didn't blanch. The Jedi kept her cool and listened to what Tirsa had to say, squeezing Sanis' hand a little tighter.

For a brief moment, she noticed in Tirsa's dark eyes that this was a bit strange for her. In all honesty, it was for Navaria as well.

"You want me to protect you?"

She licked her bottom lip in a small chortle.

"Quite the character you are, Tirsa. Take your games and go somewhere else."

Navaria looked to Sanis to see how he was doing.

Don't let her get to you...

She telepathically sent to his mind in a soothing tone.

(I rose from my seat, my eyes eventually turning back to Navaria)

I think I'm gonna go outside for a smoke.

(With a slow, deliberate breath, I turned to the door, walking away slowly, but not before brushing against Tirsa in a slight, but deliberate manner. In that brief moment we shared, I let all my malice and hatred pass through a withering glance. To make it all the more chilling, my facial expression and body language remained deadpan calm. Reaching the front door, I picked up the gear I had checked, and exited the bar.

Outside...I smoked.

Alone, and with nothing to occupy my time but my thoughts)

Navaria wished that Tirsa was only putting on an act. It would make things easier to brush off the antics of the Nebari as stupid mind games.

Unfortunately, Tirsa was not faking. The poor girl was scared out of her mind.

So Navaria sighed and spoke quietly; soothingly.

"Calm down,"

She flagged a droid to get Tirsa something to drink.

"Loosing control like this isn't going to help. So ..."

Her eyes furrowed together.

"Odd thought. If you are so afraid of Sanis. Why did you even come here? Can't my Sis ..."

Navaria caught herself.

Pistol frell Tirsa. Sounds like something Sanis would say in anger.

Instead, I bowled him over with a shoulder, getting as close to Tirsa as I could. In transit, my shell gun was pulled from its loop holster, as everything slowed down. The sensation of time seemed to slow down as the back of Navaria's mind started to come alive.

Danger .... Extreme danger buzzed around in her mind and Navaria quickly let her senses surround everything nearby to find it.

Didn't take long to feel the source of the anger that was hugged by vengeance.

Sanis was outside waiting for Tirsa. Now he was going to kill her.

Navaria was still behind the Nebari when Sanis barreled his way towards her. There was only a moments time to keep the promise that she gave Tirsa only minutes ago.

Before the pull of the trigger, Navaria slammed into Tirsa from behind... using the speed and reflexes that only a Jedi could have.

The shot went off .. she wasn't sure when exactly. Navaria wasn't even certain that Tirsa was unhurt. The Jedi was acutely aware of her very own flesh being torn apart and falling to her knees .....

She felt a hot liquid starting to choke its way up her throat. It burned fiercely. When it finally made its way to her mouth ... Navaria recognized it for what it was instantly.

It was her own blood.

Loki Ahmrah
Jul 5th, 2002, 11:50:55 AM
The moment the gunshot was heard, Loki's head jerked about the Bar and Grill, his eyes wide with fear at first then upon seeing Soolin race outside armed with some sort of weapon he sprung up and leapt over his table. At the doorway he ripped the medpac from the wall and turned to the barkeep who raised his hands and said, "I know the drill!"

Loki didn't think he'd be repeating this routine so soon after Xazor's incident, he came out behind Soolin who had just flawed Sanis quite ferociously, a gun in his hand and a wound in Navaria's side.

"Master Tarkin!" Loki gasped with horror, he dropped down by her side and examined her wound. Sanis began howling, this would be tense but he tried to remain as calm as possible.

"Navaria, you just take it easy and don't move." He said with a smile, a cold sweat began to form on her head. Then he noticed the blood about her lips then turned her on her side so that she didn't choke.

He tore her shirt down the side and pulled the material back to exposed the wound. The young padawan cringed a little with worry, but staying calm took out a small needle, filled it with anasthesis - a potent local anasthetic - to numb the pain. Carefully, he injected it into various points about the wound, each time injecting controlled doses of the fluid.

While the anasthetic went to work, the boy got Navaria to maintain eye contact with him, he spoke quietly and soothingly as best he could, "Navaria, soon most of the pain will be gone so I don't want you to focus on that now; you are an excellent healer so please try to focus on the wound and above all keep calm. You'll be just fine!" He said this reassuringly and went back to work now that the anasthesis will have kicked in.

Delving into the medpac he took a small set of medical tweazers, and with gloved hands opened the wound a little so that he could see amidst the crimson and tissue a sickening black bullet shell embedded into her side. Why in God's name it had not come out the other side was beyond him but it had done it's damage. Already his hands wear covered in the Jedi's blood.

"Just try to relax!" He said in a calm tone as he set to work. Inside the tweazers went and he began working around that bullet shell to take it out.

She was feeling the pull of unconsciousness and its pull was strong. To let it take full effect seemed like the best idea since her body was tired ... and Navaria would have if it wasn't for the blood wrenching scream that kept her conscious.

The pain in that voice was so mournful and filled with such grief. It was a sharp contrast to the soothing and quick words of a young voice nearer to her.

There was a sharp pinch and then numbness and it was then that Navaria's eyes snapped immediately to awareness.

Loki was working on the wound. She could see her bloodied and bruised flesh being parted by tweezers.

Taking a deep breath was not an option because of the blood in her mouth and throat. Loki was right. This was no time to panic but being calm was easy for Navaria.

Besides, Sanis was panicking enough for them both....

She let the Force wash into her and found her grounding. Calming her mind, the pain and injury, the entire situation was gone from her mind.

The cold metal tweezers entered her body further and could feel them sliding against her insides. A side effect of being so sensitive to her own body and a healer.

As that continued, the Force was channeled into her body slowly at first and then progressed steadily, She guided it to the wound and slowed the blood loss first. Loki noticed immediately that there was considerably less blood interfering in his first aid.

The next step would be to close the wound but she couldn't. Not until Loki was finished. So her concentration was split .... being staying conscious and making sure not to loose anymore blood. An interesting battle to fight for the Jedi Knight ....

Jubei SaDherat Vader

(Rushing out at the sound of the gunshot. Jubei quickly came to Navaria's side. He ascertained the situation as fast as possible)

Loki, be careful when extracting the metal.

(Jubei looked down at Navaria. She was pale, and her skin was clammy. He placed a hand against her forehead, and spoke calmly. As he did, an unnatural warmth seemed to generate from his palm)

Navaria, stay with us. You'll be alright.

(As he assured her, Jubei used his intimacy of the Force's life essence to slow her metabolism and heart rate to a crawl, stemming the bleeding until Loki was finished.)

Loki Ahmrah
Jul 7th, 2002, 06:00:52 AM
After having spoken to Navaria the boy found himself rather shocked at how quickly she was able to calm herself and how in control of her own body she was and with the aid of the recently arrived Jubei, there was barely any blood at all. This was very fortunate, because now he was knealing a large pool of crimson red, the Jedi Knight was virtually white.

"I'm almost there." He reassured, when suddenly his words were reinforced as the pull Navaria could feel was suddenly released and out came the bulky, Mandalorian shell. The metal was dull and looked black covered in blood and putting it aside, the boy quickly changed gloves and took out a small spray and gently moving the damaged skin, he began to spray the exposed to tissue - this is to prevent any infection and would sting remarkably if she didn't have the anasthesis inside.

"Now, let's help you close up this wound!" He said with a smile, feeling much better that the wound was about to be covered and that Navaria seemed alright. Loki took out a large bacta patch and pressed it firmly on her wound after pulling the flesh back into place. He pressed firmly but not too hard and reaching back with a free hand he snapped off some tape and began taping the patch down onto the wound.

"Master Vader, a medic is on his way. Once Navaria is taken care of, it looks like there is another that needs taking care of." He said, nodding his head in Sanis's direction. The man would have to answer for his actions tonight. "Thanks for keeping things under control, Soolin." He sent a smile in the direction of the woman who had Prent stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Navaria felt extremely better but was considerably wasted. Her body needed real rest not fending off unconsciousness and pain as a substitute. She was loosing the battle.

As the medics took her half conscious and half unconscious form from the ground and onto the gurney, the Jedi Knight couldn't help but have a bad feeling about something. Like she had forgotten something vital.

Her eyes snapped opened and Navaria called out to AB groggily.

"Tirsa! Find .... herrr..... Wounded... Nebari..."

The sedative that the medics had injected won. Her poor body was severely drained and couldn't stay conscious enough to finish her thought. Hopefully, AB would understand enough to find Tirsa and give her aid. She was wounded... that much Navaria remembered but she didn't know how badly.

Unfortunately, the Knight was not aware at all that Sanis was taken into custody. She remembered his horrid screams because he had shot her. His hysteria was powerful and overwhelming ...

... and it was that feeling of hysteria and pain that haunted her dreams all the way to the hospital.

:: AB was waiting for Loki to answer, when her head snapped around at Navaria's outburst. And then the Knight fell silent, the sedetive taking effect. ::

:: AB blinked several times, trying to make sense of what Nav had said... "Tirsa! Find .... herrr..... Wounded... Nebari...". The sentence was fractured, but it made some sense. There had indeed been another wounded being... someone by the name of Tirsa? Nebari? No, Nebari was the name of a species. Therefore it was a female Nebari by the name of Tirsa. AB's mind worked quickly. Nebari had indigo colored blood. If the Nebari was injured badly enough, she would be spilling her own vital fluids. ::

:: Suddenly forgetting those around her, she began to walk around where the accident had occured, careful not to get in the way of the investigating officials. Here eyes caught something near the heal of an officer. ::

There.

:: She pointed and knelt down, the officer there standing and looking at her quizically. She looked at the spot, watching as it sizzled, melting the pavement slightly. Acidic blood. Oh this would be fun. Using the Force to protect her finger from the effects of the acid, and yet retain feeling for warmth, she lowered her finger gently onto the spot and brought it back up. It was definitely blood, dark blue in color, and fractionally warm, though growing cold quickly. The Nebari hadn't left too long ago, and thus could not have gone far while injured. ::

:: She stood, wiping the blood on a tissue the officer handed her, the tissue disintigrating immediatley, and then whirled on the bystanders. ::

Did anyone witness this? Did anyone see where the Nebari went?

:: At the same time she asked the questions, she opened herself to the Force, sensing for any wounded creature within the area. ::

Satine had watched the whole thing from the roof, and he had seen where Tirsa went. Knowing she might need help, Satine jumps from rooftop to rooftop, following the frightened and wounded Nebari. As she hits a dead end, Satine calls out, "Tirsa!"

As she jumps and turns around, the Knight jumps from the rooftop, landing in a crouch, his silver hair, thankfully, visible. That in itself prevented Tirsa from attacking him...

"Tirsa, I'm here to help. Tell me what happened. And--" he trails off as he notices Tirsa was injured. "Tirs, you're injured. Look, I know we didn't part on the best of terms, but let me help you." he says, pulling out a small med kit from his backpack...

Satine slowly walks to Tirsa, and sits down next to her, sending out soothing thoughts to the blue skinned Nebari.

"Tirsa, I'm here to help, Let me put you under my protection."

Satine just holds Tirsa at first, before laying her down, and opening his med kit. He looks to the wound. It wasn't bad, just probably painful. Injecting painkillers into the Nebari, Satine procedes to clean and dress the wound. Sensing something, Satine turns, and sees the wolf.

"Grimya, is it?" he asks, making sure the wolf heard him. "You belong to Soolin, huh? Go get her, will ya?"

"Her name's Tirsa Krylana. And, since Nav is out of commission, she's under my protection. Help me get her to a med bay, will ya? My doctoring of her wounds is just a quick fix for now."
