View Full Version : Advertisment : Character give-away

All,
Over the last three years, one of the best known charcters in our little universe is Darth Turbogeek. I have fully enjoyed writing and inventing for this character, changing and dissing as I go, creating a monumental basckstory, killing off and returning from the grave...... and it part of me.
However, it's nearly time when DT begins battling the Jedi and Marcus Q'Dunn - and I dont feel right fighting myself. It's boring and uninspiring - and you know what's goign to happen. No thanks. I'd rather do Turbogeek some justice.
As such, I am giving DT way to whoever feels they can run him. There will be two conditions - one, you dont change the password of the account and two, you do not change the sig.
Oh, three actually. Turn him into a Jedi or Vampire and I will come through the Internet and I will pan you so hard, you'll still be in traction with Ep III comes out.
The offer comes with the Ezboard accout of the same name, which will only have condition three attached.
Other than that - I want someone who will do the name justice.
Rightio - who wants it?

How about some more information regarding where the character is now, and how far he has advanced in the use of the Dark arts?
If I recall correctly DT is a clone brought to life and trained by the Dark Jedi Jeseth Cloak. What is DT’s current status and mental aptitude?
EDIT~ BTW: My questions do indicate that I have some intrest in this challenge of taking over a well developed pre-existing character.

Wow, that's some character give-away. I quite like condition three. :)
Good luck to whoever takes the character on, I'm not man enough to try. :)

Present DT is the clone of the first DT, who is a clone of Marcus Q'Dunn. I was giong to kill off DT much eariler than I did as I saw a lot of mistakes that I saw no way out of except by shooting.
Anyway, I was never goign to bring DT back util Jeseth spoke persuasively and the second clone came about. Cloning is a cliche and still makes me wince, but so be it :)
DT is not truly powerful yet, he is starting to show glimses of it. Suppose advanced Padawan stage, ready for the trials to use a Jedi analogy. He has extreme healing abilities on others and himself and a instinctive knowing how to fix a wrong in a being. He has no telekinesis, nor telepathy, to balance this off he only sees and hears what is true. He also sees beings in "colours", depending on how strong in the Force they are and what side they are. He will hence see a Deville as "Dark", Yougurt as "Light".
DT has quite an affinity and control with fire and has just found out he has the same over water.
He has the memories of Marcus / DT and knows them for what they are. He is setting up two buisnesses to further his aims - one is Anasta Medical Suppies (Turlogee Anasta, medical practicioner and trader is his alias) and also Assasins Inc. Whoever gets DT, I'll PM you with what those two are about, I guarenttee you like it :)
Hope that helps.
Edit : Forgot one more thing. He has a deathly fear of "The Man with No Colour", who he can strangely can not see with his
second 'colour' vision.
Edit again : DT is nominally of TBH, but only a fringe member.

Okay, I'm a bit confused by a Dark Arts wielder using healing techniques, but I suppose that DT's colour itself is a little grey maybe. :p

Bordering on magenta...well, it would explain a lot. :p

Maybe as he grows more powerful in the ways of the Dark, that ability starts to diminish and finally fail him completely?

Well, good question - when DT*2 came active, he wasnt Dark at all. That's when he found out the rather strong healing gift and used it. It's visualised much like a mechanic would see a broken part. In effect, he fixes whats broken.
I would say that he's more insane than Dark in a lot of ways. The flash memory didnt really take well and would be causing a few problems. To be honest, aint really thought more than that. The healing bit is the logic flaw I've never really put some thought into solving as yet. Given he's decending into the Dark Side and not fully in, it's still be something he could do.

Maybe. Unlike Marcus, who I've planned a fair bit ahead, DT is planned pretty much on the fly. The healing gift had a vague idea to be used for graft and bribery. Say healing a few senators of disease and then having them under his thumb? Worm his way into the elite of society? Using the gift basically for his own purposes and evil.
It was bascially my view of The Balance - he was really going to be skewing the Balance of the Force, using good for evil.
I have to go to swimming - when I get back I'll put down to disk what AMS and Assasins Inc worked in on this and PM you.

Just before both end up in a brawling cat-fight, the Huntress comes in, snatches em both in a stun-net, and hauls em off.

Rolls in with a holographic message:
WE NOW RETURN YOU TO YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED THREAD.
Rolls out of thread once the message is played, whistling a happy, non-schizophrenic tune.

I'd much rather have one or two characters and do them justice, than have a dozen and not being abble to do anything with them. Basically, Marcus is it now. I just find it much easier to keep focused and write better without two very major identities.
Still got minor ones, but I'm glad to be seeing the back of DT. I just cant think like what he is now very well.
I'll just have my major character of Marcus and I'll just be happy to execute it well. Besides, I've got enough sock puppets and minor acocutns to keep me happy if I need a change :)
