The impression that you get when looking down over Korriban is much like that of a cemetery. At one point it was probably a pleasant place, something amiable to look at, but of course time wears away at all things. As does man. All that ends up being left is a scattered few tombs in a rather macabre mausoleum like setting. Of course for Korriban this is perfect; a world plagued by the spirits of the dead could have no mroe fitting appearance ...

"Hm,"

Sith Lord Van-Derveld squinted out of the front view screen of the small transport. The ship he stood in had touched down moments ago on the planet, and from what he could tell had displaced a large amount of ash and dust. This left a shroud around the ship, which would take a few minutes to clear.

Raising an eyebrow, Vega turned away from the window to look back across the decking at Gitane.

"Well... we're here."

Gitane sat curled up on a passenger seat towards the back of the craft, staring out of the small window. She poked her tongue at the cloud of sand before shifting her head to look at Vega. A small grin spread over her face and she unfolded her legs to stand.

"What exactly do we plan to do here?"

"Explore, the planet... and you, train..."

A grin much like Gitane's spread over his lips and he shrugged his shoulders lightly.

"Whatever you want to do really. This is your journey."

Giving a small shrug, Gitane walked to her husband and slipped her arms arould him, giving his neck a small nip. Her head nestled to his chest as she purred before looking up at him.

"I am sorry I left like that, my dear"

Leaning down to place a light kiss on Gitane's lips, he wrapped his arms loosely around her and shrugged somewhat.

"It's fine... all that matters is that you're here now."

She closed her eyes, sighing briefly before slowly pulling away to look at a window. Dusty sand was still flowing through the air, but it was possible to see through it by now. Gitane turned her head and placed a soft kiss on Vega's lips before grinning again.

"Shall we go?"

He gave a slight nod and drew back away from Gitane to pick up the bag he'd brought with him, taking up his wife's in his other hand. Vega held both in one hand, resting them on his shoulder. Walking to the dash of the ship he tapped a few buttons to set up the security defenses on the ship, locking it so that only he would be able to fly it. Turning back to Gitane, he nodded towards the door of the ship.

"After you."

Gitane cocked her head to the side as she tip-toed out of the ship, her bare feet sinking into the sand as soon as she jumped down. She looked back at Vega and grinned lightly, her hands folding behind her back.

"Coming?"

He smiled thinly and jumped down onto the cushiony sand. Once he'd exitted the ship he lifted the ramp up with his free hand and slamped it shut - locking the ship. Then turning to Gitane, he began to walk out forward, stealing a kiss before beginning to pace.

"Doesn't look like what I imagined it would," he said, "But it's impressive still ... I suppose."

He looked across to the tombs and temples, monoliths and monuments, and smirked.

"I'm guessing it's either the ship or those for our home."

A smirk twisted itself over her lips as Gitane looked towards the buildings, laughing quietly.

"Homes of the dead... How appropriate."

She kicked slightly at the sand, sending a puffed cloud up, and stretched out her arms. A low growl rumbled through the air, a large, black animal creaping along the terran, scowling at them.

"Um.. Vega, dear..What is that?"

The Sith's eyes followed the dark beast as it slunk across the sands out of view, into the shadows. It's force presence slinked away then, as it retreated from their viscinity.

"I'm not entirely sure," he said, squinting to try and pick out where it had headed.

"Didn't seem all to happy to see us though," he laughed softly, "What a pity."

Turning to flash a grin, he started off walking.

"So, how about we set up where we're staying first then we can.. begin?"

Gitane gave an absent nod as her eyes followed the creature in an enchanted trance. As it disappeared behind a sand dune, she blinked and chased after Vega to catch up with him. Her fingers toyed with the saber that swung from her hip, eager to put the humming blade to life; After such a long voyage she was hungry for a kill... Although there seemed to be very little life upon the desolate planet.

He took in a sharp breath, catching the scents on the wind. Though the Force could not pick up the creature they'd seen, he could surely smell it. It was easy to pick up with his Lupine senses. He nodded silently towards one of the mausoleums and the two approached, setting down their baggage on the foot of the stairs which lead up into the temple-like feature itself.

Reaching into one of the holdalls Vega retrieved Seraphim and flicked the hilt downwards, igniting the blade as he did so.

"Here doggie," he murmured, eyes looking towards the last place he'd caught the trace of the beast from.
