Kack Mebuff

Kack rose early in the morning. He knew he had a long day ahead of him. Kack immediately went to the bathing quarters and washed and dressed himself. He was eager to get started on his new task ... building his very own lightsaber.
Kack opened his top dresser drawer and removed the box with the metal parts and the purple velvet bag. He walked over to his desk and laid them out.
He started to assemble the handle. Kack of course had to add his own little touches to it, like hand grips so he would be less likely to drop it, and just personal designs. Using the tool kit he found in his desk, he found assembling the handle easily done in 3 hours. The next task was the real trick.
The electrum crystals had to be placed perfectly otherwise the lightsaber was likely to explode or at least just not work. Kack chuckled to himself. A blind man trying to do this was like trying to find a needle in a hay stack. Not such a hard task with the Force on one's side.
Kack tried not to think as he moved the crystals about, he just felt, using the Force as an extension of his own body Kack moved the crystals ever so slightly trying to align them perfectly.
"Got it!" Kack thought. He closed the lightsaber up with the last final screws. Kack stood up and hit the "ON" switch. Nothing. Suddenly Kack felt sparks starting to come out. "Uh-oh," Kack said aloud and quickly turned it off. The sparks stopped.
Kack sat back down and disassembled the crystal chamber. Reaching in Kack felt the problem the top crystal was slightly off set. He adjusted it and closed the saber back up.
Kack stood up and held the saber away from his body and he ignited it yet again. But this time a purple luminous blade emerged from the shaft. Kack waved the blade, the hum of the energy beam became one with him, like his own breathing.
Kack waved the blade around once more and shut his new weapon off. Finally, he felt like a true Jedi Padawan.
