Even if we havent got much experience, can we still go otu there fight, even if our butts get kicked real bad, or do we need permission from our masters or more specifically in my case, Sage's permission to go out there and make a full of myself + gain experience points and get better?

I'd say its all up to you, just be aware that there could be alot of consequences. Your master might impose some consequences upon such independent action as well.

The right thing to do is speak to your Master. Sage would advise you when you are ready to contend the Sith. He will keep your best interest in mind.
