My Styleset idea (Yog, need you in here)

Okay, this is all I have so far:




It is basically a Genosis-y Jedi Style. I believe I need the following:



BANNER
See the attatchment. Needs shrinking, cleaning and text adding (Once I sort the font out:))

BACKGROUND

Can we get the purple one in tranparant? So it can be used in this new style set that Fett is working on the base graphics for. I may incorporate these graphics into my idea for having a style with the avatar on the main page too.

Yay! I think having the two sabers in the banner type image and the icon be all different colors will be good, plus it'll stand out pretty decently on a black or a light colored BG.

I already asked for permission and got it, to incorporate some of Eve's design elements into this style possibly. I was thinking of maybe recoloring the stuff that goes around tables in the CIZ style and maybe using it some parts of this upcoming style.

I'll see about putting together an example HTML page for people to look at failry soon. :)

I did ask Garrett to try doing the font, but he suddenly stopped talking. Gav does that too, dont bother with away message. A disruption in communications can only mean one thing, Scousers :)

I was going to probably keep with how most banners here are, so that there was consistancy. Colour would just be what looked right, maybe the same as on the Rebel banner (Similar tones of colour)

I think I'll thin the height of the top bit (including the banner image) some so there is less space around a full 150 X 150 avatar, but I think it'll end up pretty cool indeed. :)

And, I intend to rework the avatar display hack some so that it will display on all pages as part of the header.

Of course I didn't want to obscure the battle scene in the middle, thats a key part of that banner. :)

And I am thinking of it being named the "Attack of the Clones" style once it is all complete. Thoughts?

BTW: I tried it with both the BGs you suggested here and neither fit it well. So I went with the sandy brick thing. I think it resembles the colluseum walls myself.

Attack of the Clones is a fine title BUT, what if another EP2 one is made?

A few days before I start the coding, It'll be avail when I start the coding, but not entirely completre for probably a few days after, since a board wide style takes a lot more implementation than just a subforum style. Tons more templates to edit.

Two things I noticed though:

-The page numbers on the listing dont stand out (black on brown)

-The options (WHo's online, etc) in the thread listening dont show well (White on beige)

I just changed the header a little so it looks better at really high resolutions and wide windows, and I also changed the no avatar and guest avatar images as non transpanat since my mods to the hack had the side effect of assiging the no avatar selected image to all people that don't have one in thread views and I would prefer it not look like crud on dark BG's

Nevermind what I just said. The hack doesn't have that effect, I was just fooled bu someone who had selected it as their avatar, or maybe registered after I added the hack. hmmmm
