I know people are getting depressed over AOTC's number this week, but its declines don't seem to be any worse than all the other films in release at the moment. It just seems that hardly anyone is going to the movies at the moment. Maybe people are waiting for the weekend, but we'll know for sure in a few days. We were spoiled by TPM's performance, but I still think AOTC is doing fine for a fourth sequel.

LOL...yeah Dutchy I know that. You do seem even more curious about AOTC numbers than we are...and you aren't even a fan. :) You are one strange guy. ;)

Yeah right, I remember Jonathan generating like 500 megs of data traffic just reloading Showbizdata.com last week. :p

Well it held better than Spiderman which is almost fell below Insomina, that is the only one that held really but it didn't have anywhere to drop after making 1.8 on Monday. Well I did my part today maybe it will go up tomorrow :) The theater I went to the 3 show was half full which is pretty good for the crummy theater I went to, I hate going to it but it is the closest one and I didn't want to drive a half hour to go the really good one.

AOTC was down a slightly higher percentage than "Spiderman" though...so actually the webslinger held better. Grrrrrr.

"Damn fool I KNEW you were gonna say that!"

Didn't Spiderman drop almost 300 thousand and I guess AOTC did too, I guess my point was that it almost fell behind Insomnia which shows that I think it won't be in the top 3 anymore, heck I wouldn't be surprised if Insomnia beat it next weekend.

AOTC was down like 10%...Spidey was down 8%. I do think "Insomina" might pass it this weekend though.

I am not sure if I am that gutzy, also I haven't figured out what Sum of All Fears could do it could do 30-35 million at the most and open at 1 it could open in the 20's and open second or it could do very poorly and make less than 20 and finish 4th. The problem is I am not sure how many people want to see that kind of disturbing film especially after 9/11 and with the whole nuclear stuff going on in Asia, people might stay away. Though the destruction of the white house in ID4 didn't hurt that movie, though I suspect that was because aliens did it and its not really reality.

I would say Sum of All Fears makes about $28.5 million. I don't think this weekend is ever very good. The weekend after Memorial Day Weekend is just a downer, lol.

If TPM fell 36% after only falling 20.7% the weekend before, and AOTC fell 40%... then it could fall even worse this weekend. I am just saying, like don't be surprised if it's down 53% or something, lol. God I hope I am wrong.

"Yeah right, I remember Jonathan generating like 500 megs of data traffic just reloading Showbizdata.com last week."

LOL, yeah well that makes up for some of the actual MONEY I pay those idiots every day for WRONG box office information, like their Sunday number. Nice try guys, nice try. WTF? They are supposed to know these things. I don't even want to mention how much it is per month to get access. I thought I cancelled and then I realized I've been paying, on my mom's credit card, for about two years. It is, uh, a lot of wasted money. Ouch. Ouch. Ouch. Oh well my parents would never notice it missing ;) LOL.

With the Aston Martin in our garage, I figure a few hundred dollars isn't the end of the world.

Ugh, is it that expensive subscribing to showbiz data? :x

One might as well subscribe to Exhibitor Relations Inc instead, and get the data faster.
