View Full Version : Need A Planet?

I'm your man. :)
I can make planet graphics now. I can also get a semi-zoomed image, if needed. Any requests? I'll take formal requests too. Like from the Empire or NR, for each of their under control planets. I will take requests for people who've made up a planet, etc, and want it to be brought to life. However, don't just have me make it for you to gawk at. I'd like it used. Just tell me a few things about the planet:
General color of Land Masses, Clouds, Water(Oceans, Lake), Cities, and the sunlight color on the planet. Also, give me a good idea of the ratio between land and water. How populated the planet is roughly(how many city specks would be on it). If the mountains and terrain are more smooth and flat, or tall and rough. How many clouds there are. How many storms and swirly clouds. :) Give me the complete lowdown please. :) Also, how close up you'd like the planet to be.
Oh, and I can make a text saying the name of the planet. Tell me what you want the font to be like, and the general color of the text.
Also, I can't do very populated planets. Like Coruscant.... well, maybe after I have more experience with planet making. :lol
Of course, you'd like a demonstration. Roughly what it could look like. This is what I like to call.... Demon World. Real hellish stuff. For a RP, btw. I'm not just a phycho. :lol

Why not do entire systems...

Last I heard he was not needing them do to the fact that he had become a star!!!

I guess I could. However, I figured people would be using these for banners, or to begin a RP. To show where it's at. Star Systems would be more time consuming, but I'd do it if the person spelt out what he/she wanted in each planet. :)

Demonworld looks suspiciously like what I imagine Vjun to look like.
What do your "semi-zoomed-in" pictures look like? Meaning, post one of Demonworld or something as an example. :)

Okay. :) But this one isn't a great example. Since all of the planet is red, it's hard to appreciate detail. I can make different colored worlds, with diverse color differences. I should add more detail to this image of a close-up, but didn't have time. So here's an idea:

I just save planet images myself...

Ah... not bad, not bad at all, Sage. Could you do one of a planet that is mostly black, with bits of red (some large like seas or lakes, and some like lava flows crisscrossing the planet)? Sort of like Demonworld, but slightly more habitable and not ALL red magma type terrain. ;)
[Edit]
Haha, Zasz... I can't wait for AP3. :)

Alrighty. Here it is, tell me what you think. It's just a first rendition based on what I thought you wanted. It's also not compressed much. If you do intend to use this, do you have a server to upload it to or should I use my clanpages account to host it?

To Viscera: I wish. :) If I had 3D Studio Max I could bust out some incredible stuff! It's actually a plug-in for Paint Shop, or Photoshop. :)

You want max 4; just come to me.
Of course you didn't hear me say that.

That looks good... I can host it, don't worry about that. Already saved...
Can ye make a zoom-in of one of the black areas now, please? And thanks, it looks nice! :)

Max 4 runs ok on my PC... but I reallllly need more RAM. It wants 512+. I have 256mb.

Me and that program will never work together on this system. Otherwise I'd already be saving up for the software. I have 32 Megs of Ram, about 50 Megs of HD space, and no outside storage capacity other than a floppy disk. Plus, my other specs are even more horrible. Ugh. Instead of upgrading this piece of junk, I'm saving up for a brand new, near top of the line PC. Ooooh, baby. When I get a dream like what I want, I'll be churning out stuff big time. Plus, I'll get a cable modem and paid ISP. Which I'm saving up for along side that..... Okay, it might take a WHOLE lot of time on my income(like what a young teenager, below working age, earns can be considered anything other than peanuts.).... I'm just dreaming out loud here. Pay no mind. :)
I'll get that zoomed image pronto, buddy. Give me 'till tomorrow though, because I'm about to hit the hay.
Hey, can someone with vast knowledge of planets in Star Wars give me some info? Just chern out example pictures, discriptions, etc. of what the main planets look like. I want to make a near complete database of the primary planets. Can someone help?

Q: Where'd you get the plugin? I wouldn't mind fooling around with it myself =)

For your database.
Max 4 really sucks on my PC, and I have 512 megs of DDR mushkin basic. I REALLY need a tutorial about how to use that app properly. I mean, would it kill them to add in an option whereby most of the time you only see 10% of the model's vectors and whatnot, so moving and scaling and rotating could be faster? How am I supposed to manipulate a scene with 30 models, each 300,000 polys? Very slowly, is the answer.
