I spoilt myself rotten for Ep I

I spoilt myself rotten for Ep II

I dont know how, but I refuse to be spoilt for Ep III. So tell me people who successfully avoided spoilers, how did you do it?

Morgan Evanar
May 27th, 2002, 05:24:16 PM
It was easy. I just didn't click stuff if it was related to Ep2. I didn't even see the TV ads.

Mace Windu and almost all the Jedi die in Episode III

Anyone spoiling for the last SW movie ever should get psychiatric help

May 27th, 2002, 06:11:23 PM
Isn't gonna be kinda tough to spoil it.

I mean, we already know how it ends.

Marcus Telcontar
May 27th, 2002, 06:14:49 PM
3/4 of the fun is the journey there. I dont want to know the inbetween until I see the movie. So we know Anakin is Vader, well, how? How are all these threads going to be tied together?

And dont start an unmasked discussion here, I really dont want to tempt fate. I want to know as little as possible about Ep III

Gav Mortis
May 27th, 2002, 06:31:16 PM
You're right 3/4 of the fun is the journey there, but that doesn't mean the journey has to be riddled with spoilers. What's the point in having a journey if you reach your destination prematurely?

I spoiled myself rotten on TPM, I didn't particularly think the film was very good when I saw it as the peak of my enjoyment was reached whilst reading the novel. Went into AOTC squeaky clean and had a jaw-dropping, unforgettable experience. Was it worth the agonising months of resisting temptation, without doubt.

Induldge a little, resist a lot so that you don't "spoil" yourself per se, but take in enough to satisfy your appetite.

I went into EPII knowing not much... so the whole thing was a surprise basically.

All ya gotta do is have self control ^_^

I'm always very good...until the trailers come out!!!

I can't resist the urrrrge!

ReaperFett
May 27th, 2002, 07:06:01 PM
I think for EP3 Im going to watch the first trailer, MAYBE the second, and thats it

Loki Ahmrah
May 27th, 2002, 07:33:37 PM
I'm definately watching all the official trailers, that way I can put my mind at ease and say, "Yes, that looks great!" or "I don't like the look of that!" I think the trailers give a good impression of how good/bad the film will be. I don't want to expect too much or too little from Ep3.

ReaperFett
May 27th, 2002, 07:47:52 PM
I dont want to see all the best bits though, damn Jango ad :)

Zasz Grimm
May 27th, 2002, 08:37:58 PM
I know how Anakin becomes Vader! Mwhahaha!

But, for those of you who don't look at spoilers, I Salute you. I can't help but to look at them. I looked at all the spoilers I saw, didn't look at a ton though. And still the movie shocked the crap out of me.

Vinny Red
May 27th, 2002, 10:26:22 PM
there's too much that i know about EP3 just from Eu already....

Lady Vader
May 27th, 2002, 11:33:14 PM
Just don't give in! You have to be strong! Don't let those spoiling bastards get the best of ya! RESIST! RESIST THEM!! It's hard, yes, but if you wanna be virtually spoiler free, you have to be STRONG!!!

Unfortunately, there is no trick. You just have to have self control.

Charley
May 27th, 2002, 11:34:05 PM
Nah, go ahead...give in to the spoiler side.

Live Wire
May 27th, 2002, 11:47:20 PM
well right now all we have are theories based on rumors and EU stuff. But I to refuse to be spoiled for E3. Stay away from toys and websites. Dont highlight spoilers. But I do watch the trailers I dont consider them spoilers.

Well, the Zam Wessel figure didn't bother me... heck, the top of her head came off, too! But I really wish I didn't know about that other one... I tried so hard to avoid it, too. :(

Kiattaarra Feessaarro
May 28th, 2002, 12:06:22 AM
BTW, Shawn, I have your Zam action figure and your money traveling pouch. You forgot em both. :)

Nupraptor
May 28th, 2002, 12:09:38 AM
As I explained: the Zam figure was for Chuck. I thought it went well with the other one he has. I'll pickup up the other thingie next time I drop by Cali. :)

Live Wire
May 28th, 2002, 12:10:21 AM
Now didn't I tell you people to keep track of your action figures after I gave them too you! tsk tsk...no one listens

ReaperFett
May 28th, 2002, 05:15:22 AM
I wasn't stupid enough to look at any important figures or open them before release :)

Mistress Tatiana
May 28th, 2002, 09:54:31 AM
I just avoid anything about the movies. The only indulgence I allow myself is the trailers and commercials. That's it. I wouldn't even listen to the music before I saw the movie.

Hey Audra, remember how we walked in the toy store and I covered my eyes as we walked past the SW section? :lol That was pretty funny. People were looking at me really weird. I just closed my eyes and walked right past it.

When I was waiting in line for E2, someone brought their stereo and was playing E2. I thought it was Indy, but Charley turned to me and told me it was the E2 soundtrack. So I just politely asked those people who were playing it to turn it down so only their ears could hear it, and not mine.

Master Yoghurt
May 28th, 2002, 12:22:26 PM
Well, in my experience, trailers are the worst kind of spoilers.

Live Wire
May 28th, 2002, 01:44:03 PM
well if youre one of those people who analyze the trailers then yeah but if you're like me you forget what you just saw in the trailer five minutes after you saw it.

lol yeah I remember you walking past the toys. lol. You wouldnt even look at the lightsaber I bought. Its not like I was there reading the back of the action figure packages. sheesh.

I was in a store up at third street promenade looking at the sci fi toys. They have a lifesize stormtrooper and yoda on display and some kid was reading the back of the action figures out loud I covered my ears and started screaming "AHH NO SPOILERS" the guys who worked at the store were cracking up cause they understood. lol

Lady Vader
May 28th, 2002, 02:53:52 PM
:lol!!!

OMG! What a crack up! So sorry i missed that scene!! :lol

Mistress Tatiana
May 28th, 2002, 08:18:05 PM
See! So don't get on my case next time when I go crazy about not wanting to hear spoilers.

And yeah, the trailers don't give that much away. I just watched the trailers for the enjoyment of seeing something SW. I didn't stop to anylize every scene.

For example, I didn't know that Dooku's lightsaber was bent. Charley told me it was in the trailer, but I didn't anylize it so I didn't know. I was pretty mad at him for that.

personally trailers have never ruined a movie for me...I find all I have to do is avoid one of my friends who spends too much time finding info on things and I do fine.....I honestly don't give in to looking at anything that might have spoilers, hell ever since I read how Vegeta died in the Buu saga by accident, I haven't looked at anything until I've seen the movie, etc....

Live Wire
