Council Missions

Are there any developments on the idea of the counsil sending Jedi out to do missions? I did ask a couple of days ago when I added the question to the end of the topic where Verse brought up the subject. No one replied, so I wondered if anyone saw it. Hence the new topic. On the topic it seemed the vast majority were in favour so will anything happen?

Problem is that not everyone is on at the same time so here is what I think.

If anyone has an idea, post it here and we will all work out the details then it can be RPed out. Much easier that way then just waiting on a few people methinks :)

Okay, to kick off the Council Missions, why not go with a fan favorite? Freeing Slaves. :)

I'm already in an RP about freeing slaves....but I think that more of those are good! :) There are lots of slaves in the universe..good thinking Sage. ;)

Feh, let's think of another one. Slaves are so cliche.

Two worlds are always at ends with each other. They have a treaty, stating that they can't have over a certain number of weapons a piece. It's a sign of good faith. Although the weapons are always locked onto the other planet. Anyway, one of the planets start developing more weapons of mass destruction, breaking the treaty. Jedi are sent in to stop a possible war or worlds.

I dont see why people being on at different times would be a problem though. The way I see it happening is if there is a problem in the galexy the council decide what they want to do about it. Then they call for a Jedi and thier padawan for example to go and carry out thier instructions. Say the mission is to discover who an assasin is or something. Have the Jedi and the padawan report back to the council every so often to see if there are any further instructions.

I like your rp idea though and id be up for that.

Idea....

Council sends out a group of Jedi because they feel a disturbance in the force. We go to a remote kingdom on a small planet, somewhere (we'll make it up). There we find tortured souls. Why are they tortured souls you ask? The entire thread will be an irreverent take on Dante's Inferno. They are all wandering souls left to dwell in the confines of their kindom's vacinity after an apocalptic battle that took place on their planet. When we arrive, we endure the same conditions that they do. Reason: the area is in constant , hellascious turmoil. It is marked by the evil dimensions brought forth by dark forces (the battle). As a result of the lies, deceit, and betrayl from said battle, the entire area is thrown into a sort of limbodic dimension. Think hell. When we arrive as characters, in order to free the souls we must make them face their sins and absolve their differences. In doing so they absolve their evil past and the balance to the force is restored. However, as the Jedi enter the area they must too battle their own demons, as the Inferno brings to light each Jedi's own individual skeletons.

That's what I was thinking Nav. I think that my misson with Marcus would put this terrible past in front of me...and the I'd have to learn how to accept it. Going with you, then, on that other mission afterwards would be a good test to see if I really learned anything. :lol

Now, as for the mission idea, I do have something running around in my head, related to the trip I am to take Xazor on soon. Now there is another mission on the cards which I cant say much about right now, but will be revealed soon.

BUT.... back to the first item. I'd probably like Neo, Xaz, Oriadin, Kaman, Helenias on this one. Throw in Sage and maybe Nav and I think I would have a good crew and mix. Xaz, you might like to alert your Padawans they would be called as well to join in.

now, I like to structure Rp for a reason and to have a theme. What this one would be about would be Ukio, a farming planet. On this planet, water supplies are getting oddly scarce. What I think is that Xaz and I are on our journey, when we get a priority signal to investigate. From there..... well who knows. Fun time I am betting

Ive said before, I think its hard to get into a lot of rps when your a padawan with little training. Id be more than happy to be involved with as many as I can. I like the sound of yours Marcus

That's what I like to see, wanting to be involved. Personally, I never had a Master when I was a Padawan. I always think those really serious wont let anything stop them from participating.

OTOH, players like me who have been around for years have to let new players know they are welcome to be involved.

Sene Unty and Nyth Galanos would fit in really well with our style of RPing. As for the others... probably not Jedidiah (ChildOfTheForce), hmm...not Chance or Wicket...Kan would, but he's never around. Ace Carde and Matthias Darkstone are never around either....those are all of the ones I can think of...I just picked up another one today, that guy who came in thinking he was a "Shadow Jedi". I really like his writing style and he seems to have good RPing skills already, so I choose to take him on too. He has had no training, though...so he would not do well, unless you don't care. So, after all of this nonesense, :lol I think that the ones who RP like us (and I am not saying that my other Padawans don't RP well, but they have a different style than Marcus and I) would be:
