Now that the defection is complete, I'll post a complete list of assets I've brought with me, including R&D plans. "CAMO-TERRAIN SHIELD CELL (CTSC)"

DESIGNATION: Camo-Terrain Shield Cell
DESIGNER: Unknown
MANUFACTURER: Unknown
CREW: None
CARGO CAPACITY: None
LENGTH: 100 meters
WIDTH: 100 meters
HEIGHT: 150 meters
ARMOR: 4 meters
SHIELD: 500 SBD
COVERAGE: 100 square km
SPECIAL FEATURES:
-Cone-shaped for easy entrance into surface
-Four 20 meter deep landscape chambers(varies depending on planet's terrain)
-Four airtight doors to cover the chambers during space flight, which open upon impact
-Two internal generator spheres
-Drill at tip of cone to help dig into planet's surface
-Centered shaft powering drill and generators, powered by ring stored with fuel cells attached to middle of shaft
-Nine sets of retractable shield projector relays
-Nine internal tubes connecting the shield generator bank to projector relays on surface
-10 repulsorlift engines directed to push upward - sending cone further into ground
-10 repulsorlift engines directed to push downward - slowing down entry speed

The newly developed Camo-Terrain Shield Cell is a small and reliable shield generator. Because of its design, it can be used in a variety of situations. One technique is to launch a series of these into a controlled planet, setting up a network of hidden shield generators to safeguard the entire planet, leaving them nearly invunerable to enemy sabotage teams. Another method would be to launch several CTSC's on an enemy planet during an assault. The 100 square kilometer area could be used to protect mobile bases, vehicles, and soldiers on the ground.

Carried by capital ships only, the cone-shaped cell is launched from orbit and onto a planet's surface. Onboard guidance systems allow computers from the starship to designate a specific landing spot, done by thrusters throughout the structure. Added armor and personal shielding also allow the CTSC to enter a planet's atmosphere without a pod. Ten repulsorlifts are then used to slow down its entry speed, where it then pushes down into the ground with a drill and ten reversed repulsorlifts. Once situated, the CTSC's doors slide open and a seperate platform housing the life-like landscape rises up to help conceal the underground shield generator.

"RCC-360 MIDNIGHT EAGLE"

DESIGNATION: Reconnaissance Starfighter
DESIGNER: Unknown
MANUFACTURERS: Unknown
LENGTH: 9 meters
CREW: 2
CARGO CAPACITY: 80 kilograms
CONSUMABLES: 7 days
SPEED: 110 MGLT, 2215 KPH
HYPERDRIVE: 2x
HULL: 68 RU
SHIELDS: 91 SBD
WEAPONS: 4 Ion Cannons, 2 Mag Pulse Launchers(6 warheads each), 1 Advanced Homing Concussion Missile Launcher(8 warheads)
SPECIAL FEATURES:
-Jamming Beams and Decoy Beams added to repel enemy sensors.
-Concealed intake and outtake vents for screened atmospheric flight.
-Viewpanals above, below, left, and right of the two pilots for all-around view.

The "Midnight Eagle" is painted a dark smoke color, to blend in with the night sky while also blurring in with the blue tint of a planet's atmosphere. There are four long, flat, and wide wing panels, set like those of an X-Wing in flight position. The fuselage of the ship is slender and elliptical, the top and bottom level with the top and bottom pair of wings. Each ion cannon is attached to the outer corner where the wings and hull meet, similar to the engines of an X-Wing. Meanwhile the pair of Mag Pulse launchers are situated on the bottomside of the fuselage, with the single Concussion Missile launcher placed in between them.

This fighter got its name from the feature of an almost panoramic - or "360" - view from inside the cockpit. The ability to naturally see above, below, to the right and left was purposely installed to enhance reconnaissance tasks. Inside of the spacey cockpit are two stations, one up against the rear wall and facing foward, and one up ahead the front wall facing backward. The rear seat is for the pilot, accompanied by the common flight instruments and computers, while the latter is for the navigator who is surrounded by special systems to perform a top grade job. They include live images taken from the craft, an infrared radar, a heatscan radar, radio instruments for reporting back to base, and controls to an external video camera which can take images at any angle.

The RCC-360 "Midnight Eagle" is the beginning of a new wave of exceptional performance craft designed for specific tasks. Most weapons on the ship are disabling-only, because of a desire to hinder resistance without harming any innocents. And although armor and shielding are lacking on the Midnight Eagle, the manueverability and overwhelming speed are able to outrun any persuers and jump to hyperspace back to base with reliable information on the enemy.

TYPHOON ESCORT CARRIER (TEC)

DESIGNATION: Starfighter Carrier
DESIGNER: Dayark Shipyards
LENGTH: 1,800 meters
CREW: 19,750
TROOPS: 2,500
CARGO CAPACITY: 14,000 metric tons

ONBOARD CRAFT: 12 squadrons

The latest advances in offensive and defensive technology have been incorporated into this powerful new escort carrier. Commanders of this class of carrier are taught to use their starfighters as much as possible instead of bringing their carrier into combat. But if they must, the Typhoon-class Escort Carrier can defend itself against large amounts of starfighters with its quad laser cannons as well as larger capital ships with its turbolaser batteries and torpedo tubes.

Similar to a Y-4 Transport in shape, yet equal to the size of an Escort Carrier, this ship's main purpose is to stand out from all others. Bulky in shape and size, the Light Hospital ship has two docking pads where shuttles can unload wounded soldiers and pilots, in atmospheric and space flight. On the underside of the hull, their is a concealed bay where 20 transports and 10 Tracked Mobile Hospitals lay ready to recover injured personal. Scattered around the ship are 10 tractor beam projectors used to reel in damaged starfighters or ejected pilots. This starship's main and only purpose is to heal wounded in battle. Not a single weapon can be found onboard.

Welcome!

Your fleet looks very well organised. Do you wish to assign it a codename?

Btw, I dig the designs! Highly original, yet imaginable in the SW universe and not over the top. Please, feel free to start research for these and any projects you like. We need new designs.

Thanks, should I go ahead and post 'em in the SWForums NR shipyard forum?

As for a codename, I think I'll keep the force known to the NR but give it various codenames when going into battle. I'll also be renaming the ships to get rid of any records on them and just to make them sound less evil. :)

Being a double agent of sorts is interesting, eh?

I don't think there would be any problem with posting Alec Lafayette as an NR commander and your fleet assets on our page. If they think you are just spying, it will only add to your validity. They'll think we're being suckers and believing your "story". They'll probably think that the ruse is working better than planned.

So what codename do you want the fleet to have?

Never thought of that Garm, and it just might work. I know how they think. I don't mind it being posted on the website(don't have to include all those extra details I posted), just let me reorganize, change the names, and put in a request for some NR ships to balance it out.

Scrap? What a waste of assets. No ... keep them and we'll add them to our reserve. We won't make all of that official until you RP your conflict with Death Fleet and solidify your defection. But don't scrap them.

Cmdr Lafeyette
Feb 21st, 2002, 01:47:52 AM
I just figured it would be best to scrap them with all this talk of downsizing, but if you say so. What about the upgrading and building requests?

RP your conflict with Death Fleet and solidify your defection

Didn't I just do that? Or do you mean the upcoming RP I had in mind?

Here's a pic of the Midnight Eagle. I'm working on the Light Hospital Ship and CTSC blueprints next.
