Well, as the somewhat straight laced uhrmn... person, I've got a few suggestions.

1) Lurk for a few days, and just read some RPs. Kind of gives you an idea whats up, and how things work.

2) Read the FAQ. Please.

3) If you have a somewhat open RP going, need people, and have a direction you want to push it, post a topic in the OOC forum. Elaborate, and remember that it is your RP. You do have a measure of control over it.

4) Image signatures and avatar may not total more than 45k, with 30k alotted to the signature.

Grrr, the boards apparently are hungry & chowed down on my last post, so lemme try to remember what it said...or...something

So yeah, I checked out the FAQ, have to say, when I finished reading it, I was scratching my head looking for the remaining 13 pages of rules, that I assumed, surely, existed. lol. I RP'd in what I call an 'anal or tightwad' RP, for years...We had mega-major rules, which is fine & dandy or whatever, I just happened to get used to them, so it struck me blank seeing common sense as a rules page, hehe.

Since I've always RP'd at least one character from each faction, & that won't be the case here, I really need to take some time to determine which chars it would be safe for me to bring in. My former RP haven was quite hardcore when it came to the darkside...I mean, our sith were wretched, they'd make Charlie Manson look like Mickey Mouse, seriously dementia, laden gore-philes...Sooo, I think it best if I keep away from the Sith for now *pouts*:(

Tend to find that making the use of Common sense and fair play, tends to negate the need for other rules.

Indeed Marcus, but unfortunately, not everyone tends to think that way. What I meant was that I was shocked to actually see a site that needed only state common sense as rules...Chat RP was quite a different story, we not only had to be hard asses about the rules because people were too hard headed to adhere, but we had to more or less, babysit to ensure that they were understood. Unfortunately there are an overabundance of people who are in the game for the sake of ego, rather than fun...So, it happens. You have common sense rules here, which is refreshing to see, because that means that most likely, RPer's here, have a bit more of a love for creativity, than simply "I wanna be the bad boy/girl. w/the most toys, that ruins it for everyone else!"


On another note, LW, I've got a few rowdy Darkside gals, w/long, complex stories...It'd be great to bring them back into RP, but I'm really not sure about how welcome they'd be...They're more the lonerish enigmatic type. But that's not what I'm worried about, it's the fact that they're chars w/seriously disturbing stories & habits as a result of that. I'm not out to offend anyone or anything, but that has happened on occassion. So I'd be more comfortable leaving them on the shelf, then changing them, after so long.

Sweet! I'm obsessed w/GIR! I spout random GIR quotes all the time & I have to say, I've nailed that voice almost entirely! I have a char based off of GIR too...well, in my last RP. One of my favorite random RP chars, Kaeyyn, a Trandoshan...That thought he was a Wookiee. Poor Kaeyyn's egg sac was punctured before he finished developing (sabotaged by a rival of his daddy's) :( But He was a charm to RP. A loveable, yet naive HUGE, albino Trandy that was frowned upon by his entire species.
