A similar question has been raised on the JC and I decided to raise it here to see if he can figure out who makes it out of the arena alive, okay here are the jedi that we know names of
Anakin Skywalker
Obi-Wan
Mace
Yoda
Plo Koon
Ki-Adi
Eeth Koth
Saesee Tiin
Kit Festo
Barriss Offee
Luminara Unduli
Shaak Ti
Butler Swan
Coleman Trebor
Nikto Jedi
Ayla Secura (blue Tweliek)
Stass Allie

Okay I know for certain that Coleman got killed he is the duck headed jedi that Jango took out, I have heard that that Nikto go killed by the Ackay (the giant multiple arm monster) After that it get hard to figure out, but of the other Jedi, except Yoda, only Barriss Offee is not in the final circle, so she may have got it too, but then there is the question of if they got on the gunships and then there is the second battle so we are even't sure how many of them survived. This is really a mess a hope there will be some kind of annoucnement to tell us who made it and who didn't especially for some of cooler Jedi: Luminara, Barriss, Kit, Plo Koon, and Ki-Adi.

I need pictures of all the Jedi to be able to tell who's who... I always get mixed up. I'll just mention the ones I that KNOW who they are and "made it".

First of all, this is just assuming the ones that made it out of the arena alive get out of the entire fight alive. But it seems that they all would. So I'll just mention those I saw get on transports, or shown after the transports have arrived, rescued, and left - all those I shall assume to make it:

Ayla Secura. Thank the Maker... shown getting on transport, shown leading pack of clonetroopers.
Plo Koon. Gets on Yoda's transport.
Ki-Adi-Mundi. Shown with Plo Koon getting on Yoda's transport.
Mace Windu. Duh... anyway, shown getting on and off of transports, plus at the movie's end in the Jedi Council room. Pretty sure it's the same room, anyway, although only Yoda's chair is there.
Yoda. Double duh. Shown everywhere.
Anakin Skywalker. Though in two pieces.
Obi-Wan Kenobi. Somehow severely wounded with two lightsaber wounds that sure LOOK mostly superficial.
Kit Festo. I believe this is the amphibious "smiling" Jedi. He's shown getting on Yoda's transport and getting off it again, plus leading clonetroopers.

Most of the rest I'm pretty lost on. However, I did see that one female Jedi with the huge red white head things get onto a transport safely. Whatever her name is. Plus a couple of nondescript human male Jedi.

Seeing as how there were about a hundred or more Jedi in that arena battle and merely seventeen on your list, though, I doubt we'll ever know exactly who got out alive.

It's easier to say who gets alive out of Episode III. ;)

Ki, Kit, Plo, Mace, Yoda, Obi, Anakin, Aayla, Luminara are all seen getting on gunships, at least

I sure do hope that they don't use Jedi like S.A.S. men next time. What did they lose, 80 killed? Out of 100. That's one way to slim down the number of available padawan learners, I suppose. Yoda has the right idea-find a self-propelled gun battery somewhere away from the violence and start giving orders.

Yeesh. If those Jedi aren't careful, they're going to end up getting purged!

200 Vis :)

Although, we don't know the final 14 were it

Jedieb

Darth Viscera is correct. The novel mentions two different numbers, 200 and 100. Mace talks about taking 200 Jedi to Geonosia, but during the battle you read;
[quote]"All about the stadium came a sudden and synchronized flash of lights as a hundred Jedi Knights ignited their lightsabers." [quote]

Then later on we read that only 20 are left as the New Republic gunships arrive. So I think we have to go with the 80, 20 numbers. Maybe Mace couldn't get all 200, who knows. But 100 is certainly more in line with what we saw in the movie. I'm just glad Kit Fisto made it out alive. He's one of my favorite Jedi from that scene. He's the one who knocks down that droid on top of 3PO. He has a wicked smile on him when he does it. Sweeeet!

ReaperFett
May 20th, 2002, 05:47:23 PM
He's the one that made me a bt dissapointed in Mace :)

Hey, Plo Adi and Aayla survived their mission, I'm happy :)

JMK
May 20th, 2002, 06:17:38 PM
Kit Fisto's smile is hilarious! The 80-20 number sounds reasonable to me! There certainly weren't 200 jedi in that arena.

ReaperFett
May 20th, 2002, 06:22:31 PM
Well, I counted SIX in the background of Dooku when talking to Mace. And remember, about 10 went on the droid mission. And not all neccesarily went IN the arena. And some were meant to be in space (Which is where I'd put Adi Galla)

Jedieb

Think about it, we saw the death of 80 Jedi. Can you imagine what EP3 will have in store for us? Sure, some Jedi are bound to be hunted down and killed by Vader and Palpy in between EP3 and ANH, but I think we're going to see an even higher Jedi death toll in EP3. So sad... :cry

ReaperFett
May 20th, 2002, 06:29:19 PM
This'll be the one where noone dies :)

JMK
May 20th, 2002, 08:48:09 PM
Sure 80 died, but how many did we actually see die? I can't think of all that many. The ones I distinctly remember is the guy Jango wastes, one Jedi who gets shot point blank by a battle droid, and a couple who get get smoked by the geonosis warrior's weapon. Whatever that thing is.

"Yes, yes," Yoda agreed. "It's a flaw more and more common among Jedi. Too sure of themselves, they are. Even the older, more experienced Jedi."

This statement rings so true when our crescent headed Jedi council member is shot down by Jango right in front of Count Dooku. He definitely did not have any focus on the Force. He is the only Jedi council member I seen perish in EP.II BTW.

I am pleased to see Luminara, Aayla Secura, Kit Fisto, Plo Koon, Barriss, and Saesee Tiin survive. Aayla Secura is one of my favs because she is a twi'lek... that ROCKS!!!.

Did anyone see Adi Gallia at all in Episode 2?

Shawn
May 20th, 2002, 09:24:02 PM
There certainly weren't 200 jedi in that arena.Well, there was supposed to be. IIRC, there's supposed to be something like 5,000 Jedi total, and there are always 200 kept on-hand at the Temple, in case of emergencies.

Jedi Master Carr
May 20th, 2002, 09:54:27 PM
Adi Gallia wasn't in except for the Jedi Council scene the actress that played here wanted the same amount of money she got for TPM or something, and they didn't want to have to pay more money to fly her to Sydney for a few shots, or something like that, so they decided to cast somebody else in the part. Well I guess the person they cast looked so different that they ended up saying she was her cousin and named her Stass Allie, the council shots are her (they took it from TPM for her, Oppo Rancisis Even Piell and Depa Billaba). Now according to Jedi Starfighter, Adi was flying above Geneosis escorting the gunships into the battle and she did someother things to at Geneosis.

One more thing its not clear if Barriss dies or lives, she is not in the final circle, now maybe she is else where nobody knows, somebody on theforce.net said she might be healing some injured jedi, now that is possible. Too bad the novel doesn't clear this up, we might have to wait for it to be cleared up in some EU novel or comic.

That leaves us with at least 36 of the 200 identified or at least accounted for, with an additional 9 possible Jedi who participated. With 13 of the supposed "about 20" that survived the battle (although that 20 figure could merely be the Jedi who participated in the Arena/Ground battle, which would exclude the Jedi Starfighter pilots- which brings us down to 7 probable survivors assuming Brand and Rahn were present).

A'Sharad Hett is my favorite Prequel-era character. :D I think it would be funny to see what would happen if he met up with Anakin after the events of Episode 2. :lol

My friend, who dressed up as Barriss to the premiere...all she could say after seeing the movie was "I died" However, What about the ship that gets shot down? Did you already discuss that and I missed it? Were there Jedi on that? And I thought Depa stayed on Coruscant to watch over the Jedi children...

Jedi Master Carr
May 21st, 2002, 10:28:52 AM
the gunship had no jedi on it according to everybody who looked, I didn't look at it last time I went but will pay more attention to it when I go again

ReaperFett

I couldnt see any

Ha ha ha, I'm glad I'm not the only one that loved Kit's little grin.

I laughed every time I see kit smile. Its just so funny.

As for the gunship that blows up I never see any jedi on it and I keep look to see if maybe I can recognize the people on it. I'ts gonna take a few more viewings to be sure but I dont recall any jedi on that particular vehicle.

ReaperFett
May 21st, 2002, 02:55:37 PM
there were definately more GUnships than available Jedi

Doc Milo
May 21st, 2002, 03:01:50 PM
But considering that Padme is the only non-Jedi in the arena battle scene, wouldn't it be safe to conclude that if the gunship that was shot down had anyone else aside from clonetroopers on it, then they were Jedi?

Live Wire
May 21st, 2002, 03:13:20 PM
thats a pretty safe assumption I think

This should aid our quest a little :) (http://www.denimfilms.com/shared/Jedi-Circle.jpg)

Add in Aayla, Plo and Ki Adi, the control ship mission survivors

ReaperFett

Now I sad :(

If you look at the picture, one of the unknowns is the one you see with two lightsabres. He made it to the circle. Apparently, he died. Damn :(

Is it just me or is the picture of "Stass Allie" really Adi Gallia? I have an action figure of her from Ep1 and they look exactly alike.

ReaperFett
May 21st, 2002, 07:47:21 PM
Relative :)

It's a different actress. The original didnt want to return IIRC. The council scene was the TPM Adi Gallia, digitally added.

If you wanted to work out the whereabouts, I'd presume she'd be In space, where a space battle was once planned. Makes sense, considering SOMETHING made Lucasarts decide to make her the main part in Starfighter :)

What an idiot. Who wouldn't want to be in as many Star Wars movies as possible? Heck, there are at least thousands of people in the world who would play any part in Star Wars for abosultely free. Me, at least. Adi Gallia must have turned to the Dark Side.

Shawn

In case someone didn't get my earlier joke: A'Sharad Hett is a Tusken Raider-turned-Jedi... sorta. :)

Ahhhhh!

Kit Fisto is the rastafarian Jedi! I love that crazy little grin. I bet he has a jamaican accent too. :D

Non SW fans? Actors who need to be careful with every penny they earn? :)

Adi Gallia must have turned to the Dark Side
And sneaked into the council? :)
