Well that is higher than TPM, as far as being a member is that still free or do you now have to pay for the privelege to vote.

I was torn between giving it a 10 or a 9. Then I asked myself, "How has this movie made you FEEL?" Then I gave it a 10. Not because I think it's a perfect movie, not because I think it's the greatest movie ever made. I gave it a 10 because I loved this movie and it lived up to my expectations. It was a blast and it brings a smile to my face when I think about it. Sometimes I feel like the 10 year old that saw ESB all those years ago.

I voted. You know what I gave it. :)

The number of times I've seen it should already make that obvious.

I put in my vote... It was a 10. Last I saw, it was at #91.

Still at #91 with an 8.0 rating. Behind ANH (#9, 8.7) and ESB (#19, 8.6) and ahead of ROTJ (#127, 7.9). TPM is not in the top 250 with an average rating of 6.9.

That is pretty stupid, though, TPM used to be in the top 250 easily and had about a 7.7. I don't know what they did to it, but I don't really care either. It's one of the most popular films ever made, the numbers show that, as Lucas said. IMDB users are weird anyway. Many of the films on the top 250 suck hard and every new big fad makes it onto the top 250 list. Let me guess, is Spider-Man on there?

LOTR deserves its place there, sure, but it seems that EVERY big new film makes it up there.

That's hardly surprising. All movies will benefit from the buzz of being a new movie, then sink after all the hype fades. To not see TPM there is not shocking at all, alot of people weren't crazy about it.

You are right, Jon. Any blockbuster movie that comes out makes it into the top 250 in IMDB, and usually makes it pretty high. People are just excited about these movies and vote them up - I don't trust the IMDB ratings very much because of this. For example, some of the movies in the top 250 are Fargo, Amadeus, Shrek, Spiderman, The Others... Good movies, to be sure - very good - but do they really deserve to be in the top 250 movies of all time? In my opinion, no. I just find their listing of top 250 movies skewed.

And please don't slam me for saying those movies shouldn't be in the top 250. I thought all were quite good, but IMHO to be in the top 250 needs to have something special which a lot of the movies up there just don't have.
