I don't think they have shot any Principle photography for EP3 yet..........if they had we'd only have to wait about another year for the movie. But if he follows the pattern, he has just now started writeing EP3. But the only way I can see EP3 not getting made is if he died.

From what I understand, they've shot several scenes from EP3 due to Christopher Lee's contract (he's up there in years) and that the rough of the script was finished last year...

But hey, it could be the rumormill churnin'...

What Neuro said is similar to what I heard. They HAVE done some shots, but nothing major. THe 3 year wait would be for tradition :)



BTW, Lee is 80 in 2 weeks

They have shot scenes for Ep 3. They shot all the Tatooine scenes because they are limited in number and they wanted to get them out of the way so they would not need to return a year later.

I heard that they were gonna start filming in summer of 2003...that's what they said in Time magazine.

As per usual, dont believe the "rumours" this far out.

As far as Ep III is concerned, the only thing done right now is Lucas sitting down to begin writing the script. Nothing else.

While that might be an idea, I doubt it myself. Lucas seems to shoot the movies as seperate entities only and not as a group or part thereof. So, I really doubt he shot any Ep III footage at all.
