Cadet Sashara Starfighter Training

You are a sole TIE/ln Fighter on patrol from your Imperial Battle Platform. You are 300 clicks out by visual scanning, and well out of sensor range of the battle platform. All of a sudden, a Flight Group (4 ships) of T-65R3 New Republic X-Wings pops out of hyperspace, and jams your communications. Their intentions are hostile, as witnessed by the salvo of blaster bolts they fire at you while flying in a quad-diamond formation.

You continue this RP now. Your reaction will determine how well you are deemed to be trained as of now, and ultimately how quickly you will be promoted.

::Rey noticed he was jammed, no comm, or hardly any radar, NR troops were hot on his tail and he knew it, Rey was a risky pilot, but also a good one, he knew these boys, he used to fly for them , rey switched of his radar, making the TIE hard to lock on to...

The 4 fighter behinde were fireing like crazy, Rey had to take a chance at it, he switched off his engines, lifted the slattes to the TIE and pulled the stick back slighty slowing the Fighter down now the Wings behinde had to do something, trying to avoid rey they slached past him narrowly missing him, just as the last went round, we switched the engines back on taking a little time to warm up and get going, he putt the slatts down and master armed his Blasters...

fireing and hitting his cockpit by chance, this happying so quick cause he was the nearest one, smaching the front of the X-wing in half and blowing up the engines sending the ruble into a spin...wether the shelds saved the man inside was usless he couldent get out and he would drift till he died..

"One down 3 to go" Rey said putting his TIE into a resanable speed, but those guys was not going to fall for other strike like that again, his radar was off to avoid Torpedos so there was no chance of getting back up to help out, plus with all the jamming..suddenly out of nowere a gun blast hit Reys Sola Panel, sending him into a spin and flipping over and over, the Slatts went up once more slowing him down and stopping the spin, that was the alst straw, these guys were just playing with rey now...

::It was time to break for back up, it was only 300 clicks, Rey set his couse heading on the HUD, and went for it, there was no way he was going to win this so it was make or brake time, he knew he could out-run them, but could he get away un-halmed??..

::The X-wings followed close behinde, but rey was slowly slipping away...only slowly mind, Blaster fire smaches into reys hull dmaaging into heaverly, he was close to back-up now, but not close enough for them to retreat, reypulled his stick back into a diaganal back right, direction, spinning the TIE and pulling it up at the sma etime making it almost corkscrew, yet still going strait just being the back up and down.

:: Blaster fire flew past him making him harder to hit...Suddenly out of nowere a torpedo locked on...

" Oh the hell" shouted rey

:: they must have locked onto something...but what???....damn the damange they caused is creating heat....of couse...rey slammed out 3 or more chaffs out the back making the Torp miss and hit the chaffs...lucky this time...::

Suddenly, the ships broke of there attack and sped the other way...and out of nowere 5 TIE Raptos sped past rey in intercept of the X-wings..

Rey could breath again as he hit the Platform and asked for permission to land...after that experence. he would never go out alone again...

1. Switching off a TIE/ln fighter's "radar" does not make it more difficult to track by enemy forces.
2. An Incom T-65R3 travels 25% faster than a TIE/ln fighter at maximum cruising speed, 40% faster than a TIE/ln fighter if shield and weapons power has been diverted to the engines. There's no way in Sto'Vo'Kor that you could have outrun them.

The point of this excercise is to see how you react under conditions which give you a serious tactical disadvantage. Be creative. I like the TIE Raptor part, but there's no way that you could have engaged those 4 X-Wings and lived for long. Your only chance would be to use the TIE/ln's greater maneuverability to postpone your destruction, while you think of a better plan to 1. Receive reinforcements, or 2. Escape to the Imperial station.

Be creative in this Kobayashi Maru scenario. Aboard a starfighter, everything is useful.

Round 2 *ding ding*

4 X-wings were hot on Karrns tail...Karrn attempted to call for back up.....nothing...his HUD was spinning , and there was hardly anything useful to use but his own mind, and his guns

"Damn it......jammed"

There wasent much time to lose, just then blaster fire flew past Karrn, Karrn flipped the Tie over and around, only certain moved would distract these 4, Karrn took His TIE to full power pulling up the TIE and slamming it into (To Him) a vertical climb, the 4 X-wings reacted by pulling up to, and started fireing once again,

Karrn had to do something, he was basicly a sitting duck without tactics, he slammed the slatts up and turned the engine off, pulling up slightly slowing down the whole TIE, the 4 X-wings had to do something, they couldent just hit Karrn....they all veard round him, breaking up the formation pattern and leaveing them in a orkward position, sieak quicly turned on the engine, and slammed the slatts down, the engine took little time to start up, and just as it was, Karrn allighned the last X-wings in the croshairs and fired at the X-wing hitting the TIE and making it spinn out of control....Karrn could almost hear the screams of the pilot...but he didnt care, the engines came into proportion again, and karrn finished off the spinning X-wing slamming blaster fire into his engine,...it exploded and that was that...

Suddenly out of nowere the 3 other X-wings sweeped behind Karrn, fireing every blaster fire they had, Karrn veard right and put all he had into the turn, the blood rushed out of his head making him almost un-concious, his body went limp for a few secondes, but he soon rearlised he didnt have time to go all numb and limp, as the x-wings turned towards karrn, Karrn slammed the TIE left confuseing the oposition.

" Come on, come one" said Karrn through his helmet

Fore some reason the X-wings lined up behinde eathother,...tactics i suppose....Karrn swung his bodey around to View this action and smiled....this would be cool, the 2nd in line, pulled out slightly from the pact...and Karrn purposely let him lock his toprs, the 2nd (the leader of the wiind) Fired...Karrn smiled quicly letting a good 5 chaffs out the back, the first X-wing, veard to the left slightly and the 2nd X-wing followed...all but the number 3 did not, the chaff hit X-wing 3's wing and lodged in its open wings, the X-wing shoke violently, the Missile turned viloently nearly vearing of course but it didnt it went of target...

karrn could almost imagine the pilot, shouting, in pain " NO NO NO!!" but it was to late, the Torp smached into the wing taking the X-wing into a spinn and exploding into dust.....

150 clicks for the imperal platform now...

karrn did not expect that to happen, but karrn was going to take credit for it anyway....2 left, these 2 was the Leader and Wing man....these 2 were not going to be so foolish after the past events, the tow X-wings went into a a Wing Formation, the 2nd X-wing just on the right of the wing leader and just below, the 2nd X-wing, locked on another torp and fired, Karrn let out another 5 Chaffs and the Torp again hit the chaffs and exploded, Karrn looked back and smiked at there flying, there flying looked frustrated and very desprete...

ok..it was time to escape...he diverted all the power from everything, into the engines..he did this in a matter of secondes, he did it the TIE flew into the speed set, 5 claicks away now...the X-wings did the name but stilll kept blaster fire....by now the X-wings were just fired aimeslly trying to hit Karrn of coarse, but it was to late....Karrn looked behinde him and saw the X-wings turn and speed the other way...

karrn then looked back to 5 TIE Raptos fly past ether side of karrn in persuit...karrn smiled, he hit the platform and asked for permission to land...

after this event...he wouldent go back out alone again....
