Captian Serena Laran walked into his office, her uniform immaculate, and her hair put up neatly so no strand of it touched her collar. She saluted, and then stood at ease when he returned the gesture.

The red head held a datapad in her hand. She appeared to be about mid-twenties, tall, nearly six foot in boots, and slender. "I am here, reporting in the morning as requested."

The Darkness which filled Admiral Hexes' office began to flicker steadily, a hologram blinking to life before her atop his desk. it shimmered blue, different shades of the solid color texturing his hair, uniform, and flesh.

"I'm glad to see your on time for your briefing, Captain. I couldn't be here to attend to this personally due to the clean-up detail at Quitooine. "Just in case you forget, there's a data pad atop my desk containing the crew manifest for each ship, along with a list of their unique technical specifications. Good luck, Captain Laran. "

The hologram died away, the pad at his desk awaiting her initiative. According to the data on it, her battle group needed to depart within the hour.

The Captain pursed her lips as she picked up the datapad on the desk. An hour doesn't leave much time. She turned on her heel and walked briskly to a turbolift. The Reprisal had a shuttle waiting for her, apparently.

Serena went over the crew manifests as the 'lift swept her upwards. An interesting assignment, if not glorious. She would do the Vice-Admiral proud.
