<a href=http://pub2.ezboard.com/fswvstitanicstarwarsroleplayingarchive.showMessage ?topicID=3708.topic>Here</a> is the thread.

The entire Reserve Armada is at your disposal, of course. We are on the SSD Knight of Dawn in that RP, and are approximately twelve minutes out of the system, and still in hyperspace.

Those 21 Quasar Fire-class bulk cruisers are each equipped with ten Kuat landing bricks, and each landing brick carries 144 troops, so you have nearly an infantry corps of three divisions (30,240 stormtroopers) available for fast assaults. Think of the landing brick troops as paratroopers. The landing bricks merely are fired out of their mothership, then fall to the ground on the planet that they are deployed to, using repulsorlifts as retro-rockets. Then the troops swarm out. If you've watched Starship Troopers, it's very much like the dropships in that movie.

You're also free to use the countless troops aboard your fleet, of course, but the Gator Navy is excellent for fast assaults. They're like Navy Seals.

It would be nice if you left the planet relatively intact. Any questions? Good luck, btw.

Oh yeah. I don't believe anybody holds the planet currently.

Ok. Since I don't have the time to do much research, could you please post any available information there is about the planet and its surrounding system. Thanks.

I might not be able to get started until monday though.

I looked, and I couldn't find any information about it. It was only on the map.

Gormul Hyfe
May 18th, 2001, 12:23:23 PM
Ok. I'll check some places myself to see if I can find anything.

Gormul Hyfe
May 18th, 2001, 12:46:04 PM
What map did you use, exactly? I can't find it anywhere. Not in any of the databases or planet lists I know of.

Darth Viscera

Look on the left table here, where it says Galaxy map. The planet came on the map originally, I can't find it anywhere either, but it's in a good position to allow us to control vital, extremely lucrative trade routes.

Ok, I'll just BS it.

Does it have a planetary shield? How industrialized is it?

Darth Viscera
May 21st, 2001, 08:34:07 AM
It most likely has a planetary shield. You can use the A.L.F. device that Khendon designed in the workshop to generate a shield inversion field, and get your ships through. It is most likely very industrialized as a transshipment point, so expect there to be lots of FedEx and UPS-type businesses on the planet.

I'd like to know what groups will be affected by the takeover (ie. the Hapan and Carshoulis clusters, Mon Calamari, Kashyyk, Kuat and Bothawui). Are those clusters or planets owned by any groups? And can I expect any opposition?

I can assume the planet has a shield, as well has a few squadrons of starfighters, and some bigger defense ships, maybe some defense platforms, etc, correct? In other words I finally get to do something fun?

Darth Viscera
May 21st, 2001, 11:20:54 AM
It will mean that those systems and clusters will be supplied by the Empire, and so they'll have to buy what we make, which means mo' money for us. However, it's a bit obscure, I doubt anyone will realize its importance, so I doubt there will be any significant opposition.

Correct. Have fun.

May 21st, 2001, 04:46:08 PM
Unless I try to make some opposition... Buahahahaha!

Ok. I'll try to be good and stay out of trouble.

*smiles as Viscera pats him on the head*

Right then. Viscera, are you going to be staying aboard the ship when I take it in to command the assault force, or will you be transferring somewhere else? I'm going to try to rename the ships in First Flotilla tonight, so it won't be "Knights Dawn" for much longer, or whatever it is now. It'll be "Pandemonium", like in Aceldama.

Anyways, I was brainstorming some ideas while I sat at school, all bored and everything. I've come up with a really good plan. I've got it all worked out in my head. It's gonna be great. I'll bust out my writing skills in the first few posts to keep anybody that might possibly be interested in interfering cowering off in the corner.

This is gonna be a Zahn (or Zhan, not sure how it's spelled) worty takeover. You'll love it. I'll really show that I'm worthy of that promotion. Yeeha!

Few more questions:

What's a CRC?
What's a CMS?
What's a R'Kar Cruiser?
What's an ISC?
What's a ESC?
What's a CGU?
What's a CC?
What's an IP?

:lol:

No, really.

Darth Viscera
May 21st, 2001, 06:11:47 PM
CRC=Carrack Cruiser
CMS=Corellian Missile Destroyer
R'Kar=Old rebel battlewagon that's 400 meters with 5 turbolasers
ISC=Imperial Strike Cruiser
ESC=Imperial Escort Carrier
CGU=Corellian Gunship
CC=Corellian Corvette
IP=Interdiction Picket

I'm going to stay aboard the SSD, meditating in the throne room on the uppermost deck.

That kinda mucks up my plans.

Well, nevermind. That will work. I'll just have to make a small change.

Ok, I made all the name changes for first flotilla. I'll post it today. And I'll try to write up the first post for the RP tonight, and get it posted tomorrow.

Darth Viscera
May 22nd, 2001, 07:41:07 AM
alright. good morning, btw, I just woke up like 5 minutes ago.

Daemon Hyfe
May 22nd, 2001, 12:29:47 PM
Now is about when I would willingly wake up.

I can't believe you want a seperate forum for fleet RPing. Dummy! I guess everyone has different opinions of what is good and what is bad. Did you at least read my reasonings in the first thread?

Darth Viscera
May 22nd, 2001, 12:51:36 PM
Read it. Look, this is much better. This way, we can just ignore all that other bull-DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR-, and concentrate fully on fleet roleplaying. It'll be a utopia.

Gormul Hyfe
May 22nd, 2001, 06:01:48 PM
It's not all "other bull-DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR-". Fleet RPing isn't everything.

Gormul Hyfe
May 22nd, 2001, 06:32:38 PM
I updated the First Flotilla list.

I'll try to write up the first post tonight.

Gormul Hyfe
May 24th, 2001, 12:31:45 PM
Ok. Tonight. I'll do it tonight. Maybe. If not, then I'll have it posted by Tuesday. That is absolutely guaranteed.

But you have to post in Aceldama too.

Darth Viscera
May 24th, 2001, 01:47:36 PM
I will do so when I have time. You have to take into account the fact that I'm moving, and there are a lot of priorities.

He listened as the turbolift doors swished open, sensed the fervency inherent in those crimson-clad Imperial guards, as they briefly questioned this new visitor, then withdrew to their posts, resumed their task of acting as sentinels, guardians of the Diktat. The command chair swiveled around, and Darth Viscera laid eyes on none other than Brevet Grand Admiral Daemon Hyfe.

"Leave us," he commanded, motioning to the guards, who disappeared inside their sentry boxes behind the turbolift's shaft.

He pressed two buttons on his command chair, and the large holographic image of a planet was displayed. The image was blurry, but hardly beyond recognition. Several aspects of the planet, such as the urban centers, the perpetual line of orbiting civilian vessels, and the small orbiting Plantare moon were clearly visible.

"Fatasshi," he began, and paused for effect. "An image provided us by the Borleian keyhole matrix. The sensor resolution is low because the planet is three thousand parsecs outside the standard matrix range. Modifications were needed."

"The planet commands the hyperlanes which supply the Hapan and Carshoulis clusters, Mon Calamari, Kashyyk, Kuat and Bothawui, as wellas many other, less noteworthy planets just inside Hutt space, and along our borders with the Corporate Sector. It is a vital transshipment point." He looked away from the holo-image, his eyes gradually meeting Hyfe's directly, and then Viscera seemed to stare through him.

"I want you to take it."

There was a noticeable pause before Viscera spoke again.

"I am making your brevet official. High Admiral Hyfe, you are now a Grand Admiral of the Imperial Navy. You will find your new uniform laid out for you in you quarters. You should wear it. It seems to have a noticeable effect on crew morale."
