OOC: We have about 2 months to form a plan for this one, guys. And remember, the contents of this post are secret.

IC:
Preliminary Briefing: Operation Divine Fury

Summary Objective: Surprise attack upon the Sith (TSO and TSE) utilizing assistance from the New Republic
Fleet.

Section 1: Secret Forward Bases and Supply Depots-

a.The Empire shall place a construction contract with the Cizerack (being a Neutral party), to construct and deploy
10 "Civilian" Supply Depots along the primary hypercorridors to 10 major Sith worlds.

b.When complete, the Empire, utilizing neutral and intelligence contacts, shall put out contracts to civilian shippers
and smugglers to supply the 10 forward bases in time for the offensive. The bases MUST be supplied with war materiel
(fuel, foodstuffs, blasters, e-webs, spare parts, clips, durasteel, etc) during this action, lest our lines become overextended.

c.The bases shall not be heavily armed prior to the offensive action. After the fleets have been deployed, however,
the bases shall be fitted with heavy weaponry, heavy shields, medium escorts and starfighter compliments. Remember,
until the war begins, they are civilian stations.

Section 2: The enemy of my enemy is malleable-

a.A delegation shall be sent to the New Republic to solidify certain unofficial negotiations which have transpired
in the past, thus leading the way to the planning of a joint attack upon the Sith.

b.***Feel free to recommend something for this section***

Section 3: Mission critical craft and their uses-

a.***Here is where you list what craft you believe would be useful...aka, cloaking shields, cloaked ships, etc***

Possibilities: Tie Fire Control Mk II (yet to be finished researching)
Daedalus class Battlecruiser (yet to be designed-Ken, help me out with that?) : 600 meters, 50 mglts, little armor, no starfighter compliment, the firepower of an impstar deuce. It should probably use the basic hull design of the Immobilizer 418, but without the grav wells.

I have but one question: We are going to join forces with the NR? Will this lead to a complete end of hostilites between the Galactic Empire and the New Republic? Or will there be a hidded, ulterior motive behind this temporary cease-fire (besides that of destroying the Sith Empire menace once and for all)?

Darth Viscera
Nov 25th, 2001, 02:05:11 AM
The latter, of course. The Empire must not cease its efforts until the restoration of its territory and, indeed, its master, is complete.

Organa's Mongrel Republic shall taste our vengeance as well. All in time.

The use of the Republic Fleet in addition to our own will minimize any casualties that we may take.

Serena Laran
Nov 25th, 2001, 02:08:22 AM
Indeed, a masterful plan...if only we can convince the NR to take the bait. However, I do not see any problems there...they are always eager to rid the galaxy of evil. However, time, as they say, will tell.

Darth Viscera
Nov 25th, 2001, 02:09:55 AM
That shall not be a problem. Unbeknownst to most, these plans almost went through. But that was a long, long time ago...

The Galactic Empire is currently the strongest and most influential group in this Galaxy, combining our forces with the New Republic is a grand idea, we shall have an extra seven hundred or so ships to devote to the downfall of TSE and TSO, thorns that have been in our pads far too long already.

Several new technologies will help us in the future war to come; I shall start researching new technologies to aid us in this two front war.

I believe we should reinforce every one of our worlds before we attack, even though they are already all virtually impenetrable fortresses, I believe doubling garrisons and increasing planetary defenses might be in order, as well as adding some smaller defensive ships (such as I have already researched for this specific reason) and stations.

I shall start brainstorming for the ship that you requested my aid on, Visc.

Good to see you back.

Vice Diktat Sevon:

Please contact the Cizerack in secret regarding those 10 civilian stations and their construction. They will ask for compensation. You are authorized to offer two Imperial Mk II Star Destroyers without starfighters.

Again, secrecy is paramount.

Asteroids are a threat. Can we steer clear of them?

Darth Viscera
Nov 26th, 2001, 08:27:00 PM
dude, wtf are you talking about?

Darth Viscera
Nov 28th, 2001, 01:59:40 AM
Possible list of planets we could strike (or build the stations near)

1.Bakura
2.Bespin-Will give us more complete strategic control of the southern quadrant of the galaxy.
3.Byss-To deprive the supposed Sith Empire of our Emperor's throneworld.
4.Dubrillion
5.Fondor-For obvious reasons. Taking this planet would deprive our enemy of a good deal of their manufacturing capability, and contribute to our own.
6.Munto Cudro-The "Sha" family's homeworld.
7.Dayark-Home of two shipyards.

We have the capability to strike perhaps five TSE worlds simultaneously whilst still maintaining a fleet strength mostly sufficient to drive off any enemy forces we encounter. Subtracting forces which must stay in Imperial space to counter possible counterattacks, the Imperial Navy can field perhaps 1,500 ships of various types for the first wave. It is assumed that the New Republic's offensive fleet, which numbers some 700 ships of various types as of July (OOC), will probably be entirely devoted to the first wave, as they have integrated sector defense fleets.

There is also a good argument for keeping the strike armada intact during the opening stages of the attack, and dividing the armada once we have pierced the enemy's fleet in a decisive engagement. The more spread out our fleet is, the more vulnerable a single segment is to attack.

I will contemplate this further.

Too lazy to log in as Thrawn.

Munto Cudro is not the Sha Family Homeworld. Ord Mantell is. I believe Munto Cudro was the supposed location of their base. I propose we strike both planets, since both are important.

My bad, both then.

Nov 29th, 2001, 11:12:18 PM
<p align=center>I brought this up on AIM with Viscera, but I think it's important. The NR is surely going to do something, seeing how they will have a nice size of our fleet away. Most likely a strong hit and fade attack. I suggest we use cloaking technology with either Abolisher mines or Abolisher cruisers on major space lanes and rip their cruisers to shreds. Any ideas?

Darth Viscera
Nov 29th, 2001, 11:41:36 PM
We signed a non-aggression pact with the NR, however, it's still good to have a deterrent. Project Keyhole and our very large fleet are very large deterrents, as we can detect if they're massing near our borders.

Admiral Lebron
Nov 30th, 2001, 07:19:01 PM
Okay, next issue. You realize how powerful these Sith will be with force? They will need special attention, ysalamaris maybe? Something good. I would like to note that they can hurl fleets if they are anything like the small band of young Jedi knights. (OOC: Dalaa's attack, Dorsk 81's sacriffice)

Darth Viscera
Nov 30th, 2001, 07:49:12 PM
Hmmm, maybe we can build ysalamiri torpedo launchers into our ships....

Admiral Lebron
Nov 30th, 2001, 10:15:08 PM
Hmm. I think an extended visit to Myrkyr is due. As for a ysalamari torpedo. We could have the torpedo basiclly be a living habitat for the lizard and fire them off in every 10 warheads.

Another idea is a mine. It carries five to eight ysalamari in it, and it has a cloak sheild on it and we put them out and about the battle feild. Or just overwhelm them with torpedos by the hundreds.

ignore, stupid sugguestion, I'll put something good here later.

Admiral Lebron

I've been thinking. The way to win is destroy their fleet, then get rid of their Sith. While looking at the archives into the old technology, I noticed interesting stuff. Cloaking laser, ion, and missle mines. Plus LebronCorps Abolisher mines. The goal is to insert massive amounts of mines into the routes of the worlds we wish to hit.

After that is completed we feint a small attack at the planet, so it can hold out for help to come, but will be overrun easily if need be. When the ships go to help, they are shreded up by the Abolisher mines, then the regular mines, grab them, and lay more waste to them. By the time they arrive, if they do, their fleet will be in horrible shape and be crushed.

Good idea. But how to me make sure the Sith Empire does not figure out what we're doing? Are there any cloaked mine laying ships in Lebron Corp or the Empire?
But I like the idea.

Darth Viscera
Dec 3rd, 2001, 02:40:01 AM
1. Cloaked mines are EXTREMELY expensive, and take a while to build. We aren't tooled up to mass produce them as we are with TIE Devils. Unless you can invent a 1,000 credit-cloaking device that produces a 4 meter cloaking field.

2. If we mine every planet we conquer, or are planning to conquer, we'll have to take further steps to a.-deactivate the mines when we want to land, and b.-deal with the holdout Sith garrisons.

Admiral Lebron
Dec 3rd, 2001, 06:45:02 PM
1) I do not mean to mass produce, maybe 500-1000, plus about 1000 or two Abolisher mines. The Abolishers do the real work, shredding the ships up, them mines just finish and crippled. This tactic was meant for maybe one or two battles.

2) The Abolisher mines are located at LebronCorp and all cloaking technology mines are here in the Empire.

3) As for planetary defenses, missles, platforms. If it has a moon in a relitivally close orbit, put several gravity well generators on it, to increase it's gravity, thus pulling the non-gravity-amount comphensated platforms along with the weaker missles towards the moon(and out of orbit), or for the missles, away from their targets. Something to that effect.

Khendon S
Dec 3rd, 2001, 08:00:31 PM
Build a cloak generator that can expand its influences over a field of mines, simple.

Saves money, saves time.

Admiral Lebron
Dec 8th, 2001, 04:19:37 PM
I am ordering a Captain of mine to Myrkyr to get the Ysalamari. Shall I commence with the operation?

Darth Viscera
Dec 9th, 2001, 03:34:42 AM
We don't own Myrkyr. I believe TriOptium does.

Make a contract with TriOptium that will ensure the Empire a secure and steady supply of Ysalamiri.

Admiral Lebron
Dec 9th, 2001, 10:28:52 AM
Yes sir.

Captain Joachim Fena
Dec 11th, 2001, 04:10:30 AM
2 words.

Modus Operandi

In other words...why exactly are we doing this?

Darth Viscera
Dec 11th, 2001, 07:27:13 AM
The Sith have overextended their galactic sway. They should not be a major galactic power, they've -DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR-ed up the whole damn balance of power. It's our job to be the Sith-driven galactic power!

Hell, if we don't attack them first, they'll do it, the traitorous, scheming sons of bitches. I know that for a fact, and my character is just paranoid enough to sense it. Hell, they've already attacked us once.

After this war, TSE will have been reduced to an almost Calanic state, and we can get on to our true calling: beating the -DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR- out of the New Republic. They'll get a new influx of members once they don't feel potentially swamped.

Captain Joachim Fena

I just think we need something a little more "IC" to be our reasoning here.

You refer to the assault by Death Fleet on us, correct? Then lets remodulate the plan, and attack Death Fleet. Make an example out of them :)

Telan Desaria
Dec 11th, 2001, 02:24:31 PM
I agree. Let us elimiate Death Fleet, since they are a large portion of the Sith Empire's military force. If we elimiate them, a way will be paved to TSE, and we will be able to attack all else...

Admiral Lebron
Dec 11th, 2001, 04:40:49 PM
Actually, our reason is very good. We're having a cold war and taking it one step further. We've been building arms up and now we are using them. And IC Lebron know's a lot about DF seeing how he worked for it before they joined TSE.

"I have already made proper arrangements for the Empire to receive an unlimited shipment of Ysalamiri's from TriOptimum. A crew will be put to work around the clock, under Imperial supervision."

A few people in the room turn to look upon Zorin, who is usually silent. "It was quit easy to persuade them..." He smiles slightly, his blue eyes shining almost too brightly for comfort. "Shall I put an Intelligence division out to scout for defenses and fleet mobilizations?"

Seth Darkserpent
Dec 12th, 2001, 09:49:27 PM
It seems TSE has a little under a thousand ships. This battle could cost us dearly.

Admiral Lebron
Dec 12th, 2001, 10:55:58 PM
Everything has it's faults. Thats we have devestator missles to hurt them good. Plus a trick or two I am manifesting.

Khendon S
Dec 12th, 2001, 11:15:39 PM
1000, that it *sigh* I thought my new ship designs would get broken in... oh well.

:o)

Darth Viscera
Dec 13th, 2001, 09:19:51 AM
We will give them the cold steel. Six months after the first battle, we shall rob them of their last planet, and leave their corpses to fester.

Admiral Lebron
Dec 13th, 2001, 04:11:52 PM
Hmm.. good idea.

Admiral Lebron
Dec 29th, 2001, 12:30:54 PM
Maybe we should start finishing out the fine details in this operation?

Again, I don't know if there was any repsonse to my query: what of the Death Fleet...

They are of no specific concern.
