Looking blurry? Why?
Oh, I get it... you want all your enemies to strain their eyes, so they'll go into battle half-blind! Ah ha! I'm onto your little scheme, Viscera!

Sorry, my vision's fine. But, like I explained to DV, it could just be my screen resolution. Between my Optiquest Z90 and my GeForce 2 GTS, I can do some pretty ungodly things. :)

It's just your computer, I have a nice lil (god) machine and it looks clear to me... and i'm in 1600x1200!
Darth Viscera
Jan 26th, 2001, 11:35:45 PM
Nup's in 1600x1200x32x75hz. I feel so low tech. I usually run in 1024x768x16x85hz, but today I'm running in 1152x768x16x75hz. My Geforce2 MX and ViewSonic A75f PerfectFlat can't handle anything higher, and my eyes go crazy most of the time if I dip below 85hz.

ah, but you also could have been speaking of the owner, which is you.
Why did you change your sig? I liked it before, now it's just creapy.

I was talking to Adm. Sevon over there. I have a few minutes to kill too, but it would like 3 hrs. for him to download a file of that size. And what the hell happened to your custom title? I didn't change it.

Nap, my comp kicks yours. I can't get any other form of connection where I am; fiberoptic phone lines (can't get DSL, ADSL, or any variant), no cable modem access, none planned, don't want one way sat. internet, in late 2001 we'll have two way, need to convince dad to let me get that $2,000 T1, might take some time.

Three words: GeForce 2 GTS :p
Try running Win2k
Darth Viscera
Jan 28th, 2001, 09:29:24 PM
I got Win2k and 98. Win2k supports like NOTHING, so I justuse it for serious stuff from time to time like Photoshop 5.5 and O2k premium.
BTW, does Win2k support CD-writers yet?
Darth Viscera
Jan 28th, 2001, 09:32:36 PM
and how the hell do you run msconfig in Win2k? In 98 and ME, you just go to Run, and type in msconfig, but there doesn't seem to be an msconfig in 2k. I need to disable MSN messenger from starting up automatically when 2k boots up.
Nupraptor
Jan 28th, 2001, 11:18:34 PM
I was telling Khendon to get Win2k. It does support nVidia products. Booyah!
Also, for some strange reason, I can now crank my monitor res much higher. I'm running at 2048x1536 now. It seems that everytime I come back from a LAN party, my computer does strange things. :/ Well, at least this isn't something detrimental.
Darth Viscera
Jan 28th, 2001, 11:24:47 PM
I know it supports nvidia drivers. Just don't be surprised if you find out that you can't run in hardware mode in some 3d games.
Did you update a video card driver to get that high?
Nupraptor
Jan 28th, 2001, 11:35:52 PM
Nope, I didn't do a bloody thing. Like I said, strange things happen when I come back from LANs.
